Month 3, Week 4, Day 6, Yellowstone National Park, Open to Team Good
Yellowstone National Park was the first such preserve established on this particular planet. It has bears (both grizzly and black), wolves, mountain lions, moose, bison, and other large, dangerous animals, such as humans. It is also geologically active, with geysers and hot springs hot enough to boil a man alive.
To Dinobot, it is the perfect place to take Spy Shot 6 camping.
He's not anywhere near the designated hiking trails or camping areas, but he is a proponent of minimal impact camping, so hopefully neither the park rangers or other hostile lifeforms will ever know they were here.

Spy Shot loves the outdoors. Or at least he strongly appreciates them. Sunlight, colors, changing things. What more could a little camera want? Not that he has too much time to just sit and look around at things; Dinobot is, after all, a rather strict teacher. At least out of the sim-room he doesn't have to be killed repeatedly. Being killed is unpleasant.
"What are we going to do today, Dinobot?" he asks, taking a 'meal' from a sunny patch on a rock.

The raptor snarls, pupils contracting to slits as he eyes Spy Shot 6. "There is a certain animal in this forest that is tagged with a radio beacon, broadcasting a weak signal over [frequency]. You must find it and best it . . . before it overcomes you."
Thus saying, Dinobot kicks the little camera-bot (not hard, barely even a love-tap really, no sickle claws involved) so that he lands in a pot of meat drippings that he brought along for the purpose. Then he overturns the pot, because having to climb out of a pot is not part of today's test.
The raptor then disappears into the brush, only the rustling grass betraying which way he went.
OOC: Mistreatment of Spy Shot 6 with permission.

Spy Shot crawls out of the bowl of meat drippings, wiping off his lens and optics. It looks like Dinobot has disappeared. He's not very surprised. Dinobot is just sudden like that. Better not just stand around then, he has a task to complete!
He concentrates, 'listening' for the faint radio signal, and then he's off, scampering up a tree and leaping from bough to bough when he can. Clearly squirrels have the way of it. And so he tracks his quarry, bearing down on it through the trees.

Dinobot is still watching Spy Shot 6, from a circumspect distance. If there's one thing the little camera is good at, it's noticing things, so he's actually rather hard to spy on. (In that he notices everything around him. If someone tailed him he'd probably just note it as an interesting fact right up until they dismantled him in an alley. Dinobot snarls to himself as he makes a mental note to work on that.) As such, spying on Spy Shot 6 takes a pair of infrared binoculars used from almost a kilometer away. It shows the little cameraformer even through the trees. Of course infrared works that way.
As Spy Shot approaches the source of the radio signal, he'll find it appears to be emanating from a hole in the ground.

Spy Shot focuses in on the hole in the ground, but he can't get a good look into it from the trees, and so he drops softly to the ground, ducking and rolling. Peering intently into the dark pit in the ground, he can see little in the visible light spectrum. But a bitter over into the infrared there is something shining the soft warm of living flesh.
Target acquired.

The thing in the hole is, in fact, a badger. It has been having a very bad day. It got a radio tag forcibly attached to it shortly after waking up, and hasn't had any luck foraging since. It did manage to kill a mouse, but a coyote stole it before it could eat it. It is hungry, cranky, and in no mood for shenanigans. And now something smaller than it is entering its den. The badger quickly shifts into Let's See If It's Edible Mode, lunging at Spy Shot 6.

Spy Shot dives backwards into a roll as the badger comes rushing at him. Well, that is rather large, isn't it? Not compared to his Transformer comrades, of course, but still several times his own size. Also rather angry looking.
Time to multitask. He must come up with a plan to subdue the creature while continuing to defend himself from attack! Best not to stay in one place. Keep moving. Spy Shot makes a break for the nearest tree.

Dinobot stows his binoculars and shifts back into beast mode as battle is joined. He trots off into the woods, toward where the little cameraformer is tangling with the badger, just in case things get out of hand.
The badger, meanwhile, is . . . well, it's not build for running, exactly, but it is pursuing Spy Shot 6 as fast as it can. And it can climb trees, though likely not as fast as Spy Shot.

Spy Shot makes a running leap onto the tree with the angry badger hot at his heels, and quickly scrambles out of immediate reach. The badger may start to follow him up the tree, but that's okay, because Spy Shot is flipping his flash around and letting out a blinding burst of light.
He sort of has a plan. Maybe.

A lot of animals would give up if they got blinded. This particular badger, as has been previously noted, is in a particularly foul mood, and is not giving up. The mood is not improved by the sudden fall from the tree caused by the reflexive letting go of the tree caused by the blindness caused by Spy Shot's flash.
It didn't have the best vision to begin with, so while it's blind, it snuffles around the base of the tree, reassuring itself that that is where the odd small annoying strange-smelling flashy Might-Be-Food went.

While the badger is distracted by being blinded and sniffing for Spy Shot, the little camera leaps from the tree trunk and twists in midair, trying to land square on the badger's back, right behind its neck. Wherever he manages to land, he's immediately going to grab pincerfuls of the badger's thick fur.

Dinobot arrives on the scene in time to see Spy Shot 6 landing on the badger's back, and the badger trying to buck him off. When this doesn't work, both due to Spy Shot 6's grip and the regrettable lack of bucking ability caused by a badger's body shape, the creature attempts to roll over and scrape the little robot off on the ground.

It's like the world's strangest rodeo! Ride 'em cameraboy! It'll take more than being rolled under a badger to shake off this little cling-on though. He has a grip of steel! Or a grip of metal and plastic, anyway. But still pretty strong.
Unfortunately, other than hanging on, Spy Shot isn't really sure what to do from here. If he was in the sim room, or he had to protect someone from the badger, then he'd consider shooting it, but as it is he doesn't really want to seriously hurt or kill it. If he knew badger pressure points he could give it a Vulcan neck pinch or something, but studying badger anatomy never really came up in his training.

He doesn't want to seriously hurt it or kill it? It's a badger! It's not even a person! He should kill it and then they can mount its head on Spy Shot's wall and make him a tiny ceremonial sword and suit of armor from its bones. It'd be awesome.
Dinobot hisses his displeasure quietly to himself. The little Autobot still lacks a killer instinct. It's not like Tigatron, who knew how to fight but chose not to because he was suffering some sort of malfunction. It's not even like Cheetor, who saw combat as some kind of game. Spy Shot 6 is younger even than that. His spark is in the right place, Dinobot guesses. He has a cause that he's willing to fight for. He just seems to still be in the mindset of 'this is an exercise.'
Fine. If he won't use deadly force against a dumb animal, a Predacon will have to do. "Computer, reset command codes to default," he whispers to no-one in particular whilst shooting a quick transmission to the Autobot's chief of security.
The raptor jumps out of the bushes, claws bared and screaming. "Dinobot, terrorize!" he shouts, and proceeds to go through the whole impressive Season 1 tranformation sequence, complete with posing. Immediately after transforming, he fires his optic lasers at Spy Shot 6, just barely missing.
The badger cheeses it, because screw this, it didn't sign up for this crap.
