"I am not so much enjoying as anticipating our painful collective demise as soon as someone gets a bit too much of this rather potent energon and starts.. expressing himself. To his allies. I'm surprised we survived the battle, actually," Dead End informs Needlenose.
His visored gaze drifts over toward Kup. Hmm, let the Autobot seduce him, or brood in the corner wondering when the fatal firefight would erupt? Decisions, decisions...

If Needlenose hadn't lost the half-cube soon, Spinister would have taken it away from Needlenose when Needlenose wasn't looking. it's going to take forever to get Needlenose's systems gunked out, especially because he burns so little fuel. He does have a cube set aside to analyse, but Spinister is guessing that they're not all the same, so it may be useful.
He simply greets them with a bobbing nod of his head. He seems a bit tipsy. Appearances are deceiving, despite the cube crumbled in his free hand.
What is this Kup like? Dangerous, likely, but what sort of dangerous?
Dead End is too easy, really. Demoralizing people loses its fun when there are depressives around.

Kup doesn't shake his head or sigh at the intrusion, despite the desire to do so. Leaking inconvenient timing, but instead he flashes a charming grin.
"Not enjoying yourself, Dead End? I'm sorry I've been such poor company, then." Then he turns back towards Spinister and Needlenose. "I, for one, have been quite enjoying the festivities. I only regret that I missed the cause for them. I'd have enjoyed a bit of action." He smiles faintly wider. "Perhaps I'll get a chance to make up for it."
"And you two. How are you doing?"

Needlenose flattens his antennae and rolls his head to look skyward at Dead End's... observations. "Right, right, right," he mutters. "Lovely." Then he turns towards Spinister. "You know, I do believe we should move on to... livelier company." He offers a half-bow towards Kup. "Good to meet you, Anti-Kup. Oh, and good luck there!"
And with that, he half-drags, half-leans on Spinister as he wanders off.

Dead End's engines makes a soft noise that sounds somewhere between a snort and someone's elderly aunt's sniff of disgust.
"Livelier company, indeed!" He looked at Kup. "Is it lively to be willfully blind to the fundamental truth of existance? To hide in denial and run away from anything that threatens to tear away the illusion of purpose and meaning?"
There was a decidedly smug tone to Dead End's voice as he watched Needlenose wander off. "My dear Kup, you are quite charming company. I am simply one who sees things as they are, and cannot delude myself into believing otherwise, no matter how pleasant that might be."
"However..." his rich tone turned lower and richer, "some pleasantries are no delusion."

There is a partial cube set aside. Does it belong to Kup? How very interesting. A cube just sitting like that is just begging for Spinister to nonchalantly walk past it and leave the cube's virtue in more question than it was prior.
Yet he does nothing. As much as he may want to keep that Security Chief on his toes - professional courtesy; he'll do it all for free - it is yet more professional not to violate the truce when there's someone who can call him on it.
Spinister leaves like the chill wind that he is, winter howling on the heels of verdant, lush summer.
If Dead End gets himself suborned by the Security Chief, Spinister will be entirely too glad to prove Dead End right for one last time.

Omega Supreme can be seen coming quite a while off, but he comes in fast and hard. There is a boom a distance away from the festivities, where he lands, and the ratcheting strains of his transform can be heard even above the din of the party.
He ambles toward the party, as if he is in no particularly hurry, and there is something held in his clawed hand, like a swinging lantern in the dark. However, his clutched prize emits no light of its own. What he carries merely reflects the myriad stars.
Omega Supreme holds a crystal cage, and inside is a figure in green and purple. He moves to visit Kup and Dead End first. Omega Supreme would say he knows the security chief overly well, but it's a start. Omega Supreme hoists up Hook high and murmurs, "Don't fret. We won't be here too long. It's a party for the victors."
Jolly, he greets, "Just stopping by, Kup." Thoughtlessly, he asks of Dead End, "What's with the mask?"

'Why are we here at all?' Hook wants to ask. Instead, he stands and walks to one of the edges of the cage, peering out. There is a bonfire out there, people dancing-
Decepticons!
There are Decepticons here, that's Dead End right there-
Wearing a mask and visor when the guardsman only did such a thing in battle. Standing comfortably with Kup.
That isn't his Dead End. It is someone else, someone who looks like his friend.
Hook steps back from the wall of his cage, turns his head away from the festivities.

Kup's cube is forgotten, but then, he's done drinking for the night anyway. He has other things on his mind. He tilts his head to acknowledge the departure of Spinister and Needlenose, then turns his attention to Dead End.
The elder smiles at the change in Dead End's tone, and starts to lean forward to respond. Bingo! And it's then, at just that moment, when a rather large and difficult to ignore Guardian comes tromping through.
Kup stifles a sigh, then looks up, managing to recover his sociable smile rather quickly. "Ah, good evening, Omega." He seems to take no notice at all of the cage that Omega is toting about.

Oh look, just when it looked like Dead End might get some fleeting respite from his usual crushing despair and futility, someone comes along to foul things up. He wasn't surprised.
Dead End stared up at Omega Supreme and his odd ornament. "Oh, my!" What was Hook doiing there? How curious.
"It covers my face," Dead End replied while opening a private channel to his Hook: // Dead End here. Sorry to disturb you, but you are not in fact in a cage being carried around by Omega Supreme, are you? If you're not, you may be interested in your counterpart here. //
He continues to peer curiously at the Other Hook and the Other Omega Supreme.

Omega Supreme holds the cage up to his face and encourages, "Aw, don't be so quiet on me, Hook. Just take a look at it all." He holds Hook out to the party, down lower, to give him a great view of the action. "Look at what you could have. Look at what we could have!"
He points out to Dead End, "Yeah, but the battle's over."
Omega Supreme is thick, but he kind of gets the idea that perhaps Kup is not the best one to talk to at the moment. He ought to get going soon.

Look at what we could have.
Hook does look, because looking is better than telling Omega that they can have nothing together. Because it doesn't matter how much he cares for Omega, or how much Omega cares for him. Because Omega thinks this is acceptable, that attacking people who've meant you no harm is all right, that people as unsavory as Kup and Perceptor or as mad as Rodimus Prime and Perceptor should be allowed power over others.
The Autobot Way of 'might makes right' didn't affect Omega Supreme. How could it?
So Hook looks at the party, palm pressed against the crystal lattice between bars. Skyfire lurking. Perceptor cuddling up to the other Shockwave. Rodimus Prime dancing with Pee-Dee. The Autobot jets flocking around the other Sky-Byte.
Decepticons, some he didn't even recognize, enjoying a victory celebration with the Autobots.
"A city in ruins and tainted fuel. Yes, that's so very desirable." It's a small barb against Omega, but it is all that he has.
Hook stiffens. Is that Mixmaster?

"Sometimes there must be a leveling to make way for a rebuilding," Kup answers, tone absent. His attention appears to be on Dead End.
He then raises his right hand, fingers hovering just over Dead End's mask. "Yes. Why cover your face outside of battle? Are you... mmm... concerned with the attention going uncovered might bring? For I must imagine that it does draw a lot of attention."

Dead End tilted his head slightly as he looked at the Other Hook again. "The city would eventually fall into ruins in any case."
There's a click-click-click of servos locking into place as Kup's hand and questions draw near to Dead End's mask. He does not flinch, but his previously languid gestures and movements are suddenly stiff.
"It's the way Megatron built me." His tone suggested that Megatron's will was a fundamental of the universe, not to be questioned. "It protects me from minor damage to that area, and--"
He broke off abruptly, realizing that spilling details of his circuitry might not be the brightest thing to do. "I am told it makes it harder for our enemies to guess my intentions; they get no cues from expression or focus."

Omega Supreme's expression twists into a mild frown, and he offers, "Would you like a drink?" The answer doesn't matter, because he follows it up with, "I'll get you one."
He gives a friendly nod to both Kup ad Dead End and suggests, "Enjoy your night, you two."
