Skystrike-3 slackens his grip a good ten meters away from the ground in hopes that Duskwing won’t hit the ground along with him. If it doesn’t deter the other flier from that though, Skystrike-3 might as well play the part of a rather uncomfortable cushion.

Duskwing-3 feels Skystrike let go, and trusts that the other jet knows what he's doing. Freed of Skystrike's weight, the laws of physics send Duskwing zooming into the sky before he can throttle his jets back. Now he's got two guns free to point at the wicked other Skystrike.
"Hey, you! Other Skystrike! Get lost before I have ta hurt ya!" he growls, emphasing the threat with repeated fire from his arm lasers.

Skystrike-3 hits the ground hard but the low height which he was dropped from made the impact less jarring. He still stumbles and falls onto his knees, not used to hitting the ground without his lifters online, before glancing up to look where his Duskwing and the other Skystrike had gotten to.
What greeted him was the sight of a missile quickly speeding his way and the berkut finds himself scrambling out of the way on short notice.
Skystrike doesn’t spare a glance at the resulting explosion her missile created below, keeping her focus on Duskwing-3 instead. Thoroughly ignoring his remarks, the jet rolls to avoid the fresh bout of weapons fire sent her way before turning sharply and launching the second missile, sending it screaming off in the other blue jet’s direction. The berkut would have to use what explosives she had left sparingly after this.

Aw, slaggit! The Other Skystrike was still trying to take out his wingmate. Duskwing-3 scowled furiously and jinked, shooting at the darting missiles aimed at his Skystrike. Then he transformed in mid-air and thundered up in pursuit of the Other.

Instead of swerving off to the side Skystrike keeps heading straight at Duskwing-3’s approaching form, blasting him with laser. When he gets close enough she transforms herself and turns off her antigravs letting gravity take ahold with the intention to land a kick in the F-15’s face.

Duskwing-3 is in F-15 form, and is far more agile in the air as a jet. He rolls, letting the plummeting Other Skystrike slip past him without striking--
And accelerates into a loop, arching up and back down towards Skystrike with both guns firing!

The stream of air from Duskwing’s passing form makes Skystrike wobble slightly in the air but she was prepared for it, folding her wings accordingly to stabilize herself as she restarts her lifters. There wasn’t much need to do a lot of turning in robot mode so Skystrike simply tilts her head back and watches the other jet loop down, snapping her arms up to aim and fire at him. Then Duskwing’s own rounds snap across her armor and a shot puts her left arm out of commission from the shoulder down, leaving it hanging limply at her side. Skystrike snarls gutturally, the sound accompanied by a curse and an automatic midair twist to get herself out from the path of anymore shots whilst keeping her working arm’s gun pointed and firing at the Duskwing mirror to ward him off.

A lucky shot blows off the top of Duskwing-3's canopy; if he had had a human pilot, said pilot would be toast. Fortunately for the hypothetical pilot, Duskwing does not have one.
"Yow! You really want me ta hurt ya, don'tcha?" Duskwing snapped, launching one of his own cluster bombs in reply.
Warning: ammunition depleted. Bombs remaining: 2
Uh-oh. That wasn't good...

Any witty verbal comebacks she might have in answer to Duskwing-3 was, as usual, left to shrivel up and die in some bland corner of the mind. Pointing out the obvious was a bit hopeless when it came to Duskwings anyways.
That and Skystrike is now quite busy dodging the cluster bombs . A single laser gun wasn’t too efficient at helping her with that however, and the berkut utters a painful and quite truly enraged howl as her right wing was shredded.

Duskwing-3 rolls and jinks, trying to avoid Skystrike's fire. He dimly remembers that charging a foe head-on isn't such a bright idea because--
One of Skystrike's bolts sears a path through one of Duskwing-3's engines as he twists away, peppering her with laser fire. The engine coughs and flames out, some vital line or circuit cut. Still, he can fly on one engine, and circles. Is the evil Skystrike out of the fight yet? Duskwing worries that if he leaves to pursue the evil Starscream and Demon Prime, he'll go after Duskwing's own Skystrike.

Theoretically Skystrike can still fly. She has her thrusters and antigravs intact and she still has one wing. Unfortunately being hit by bombs tended to screw with the gyroscopes and various other quite important equipment and Skystrike promptly finds herself spiraling down towards the ground. Half blinded by pain and the resulting alarms popping up before her optics, the seeker utters an angry snarl and tries to right herself enough to stop falling and shoot at that mirror bastard again.
Unfortunately her elevation measurers were also messed up and before she could do much more than stare at piece of her wing snapping off the berkut hits the ground with an abrupt, strut shattering crack and crunch of over-stressed metal. For a second, the world was the sky before her vision fizzled out into static blackness.

Duskwing-3 circles, observing, then radios his own Skystrike. // Hey, buddy--looks like dat imposter is down for the count. I'm gonna chase after the Boss; you gonna be okay? //
Since everything looks fine to him, Duskwing assumes he'll get a 'yes' answer and banks, turning toward the direction everyone flew off to. Belatedly, it occurs to him to check on that.
// Uh, dis here is Duskwing. We shot down dat fake Skystrike, only our 'Strike is kinda walking right now. He's gonna need a pick-up later. Where y'at now, Boss? // he radios on the Allied band, oblivious to what else has been going on. Duskwing has a one-track mind at best, and his attention has been wholly on the battle with Skystrike.

Skystrike-3 grunts as he heaves himself over the side of the cliff’s edge, scratched, dented, still smoking slightly but conscious and relatively undamaged otherwise. His attempt to dodge any incoming missiles had apparently taken him into a fissure in a rather unceremonious manner and the seeker quickly learned that rock climbing was only a good sport for giant robots if said giant robots had servos tough enough for it. As it is his knee caps, the tips of his fingers and his pedes were devoid of blue paint.
Glancing up as Duskwing passes by Skystrike-3 waves and replies, //I’ll be fine, Dusky. You watch out for yourself and take care of our Starscream for me, alright?// He swivels his helm around to peer at the distant, smoking wreck that’d been his mirror, feeling the slightest bit unnerved.

// Yeah, I'll do dat. I'm gonna go after him now, // Duskwing-3 announces, waggling his wings at Skystrike-3 one last time. Then he darts off, in pursuit of "da Boss". The sun glints off his dusk-shadow blue wings, strangely bright...

Skystrike-3 gives a final wave as he watches his friend disappear into the blue beyond, feeling an ominous and heavy weight settle on his air vents. He didn’t let himself feel it for long though, mentally shoving the oppressing thoughts aside. There was a time to let the shackled emotions run free and a time to make oneself useful; right now was the time to be the latter.
Had to make himself useful so no one else would die.
Snapping off a brief message on the Allied frequency, the berkut takes off at a run, rerouting the fuel normally used for flight into rest of his systems as he pinned his wings back to minimize air resistance. Just because he couldn’t fly didn’t mean he’d just be idle here. As much as he did appreciate Duskwing asking for his pick up he doubted anyone had the free time for it considering where this battle was going. Robots ran pretty fast anyways.
OOC: Out of the thread.
