I have a question: Aren't these threads going to become kinda cluttered and longwinded?
Perhaps there should be an ordered list per day. Just a suggestion though.

Long-winded? I don't know about that; everyone seems to be doing short summaries. Cluttered, maybe, but the reports are also tagged with what day they're on, so I don't know.

The biggest problem with an ordered list per day is that it can only be modified or updated by whoever creates that post or an admin, which means that other players can't add things on freely and calls for constant maintenance on the part of the admin. It's also worth noting that we have to leave it up to the players what their characters would report and when - sometimes what a character doesn't report says as much about the character as what they do, and delays can be significant as well (for example, Kup waits several days after the end of 'Pieces of You' be he reports that whole business). One option is something similar to the OOC timeline on the OOC boards, with admin maintaining the first post and players posting their 'reports', which gets edited in. Which is fine except (1) it makes more work for the admin and (2) people tend not to bother posting when they create new threads in the OOC timeline, either. Of course, they also might not bother to post reports either way. That's bound to happen. At least now we have a place for at least indicating the sorts of things other characters would know about without having to actually write out full reports, something we didn't have before. It'll probably take some playing around to get the formatting right. Short version: we'll leave it run as-is for awhile, see how it works out, and if it doesn't seem to be working out, we'll switch things up. The suggestion's worth considering, I just have to get over my initial kneejerk, "Uuuuurgh, more work for me," reaction.

Long-winded as in 'a lot of pages to spit through if you want to check something'. With a lot of extra posts in between about cases that will probably not be relevant to your current query. It's not now, but probably will be.
Should this approach in the future turn out to be in need of something different, and admin can't keep track of everything if they are the ones to update (very understandable since admin duties are heavy on themselves already and they also handle the wiki and the timelines etc), then consider a report subboard, and put the players in charge of one thread for their own character.
- Character has a report to make? Put it in his/her/it thread. - New reports get instantly bumped to the top of the subboard for everyone to see. This means that if two or more reports are posted by different mechs shortly after each other, they don't get obscured. - If someone wants to know what who-and-who did or did not write about an event, they only need to go to the thread of that someone. - A character does not make more than one thread, they stack within that single thread that is their own. - Others do not post within a thread that is not their own (without consent).
But this is of course mere suggestion. If you want to let it run as-is, that is fine and I encourage you to do so.

I was going to say something about in-game back histories here, but that is significant enough that it rates its own thread.

Okay, I made sub-boards for reports, and each character can have her or his own report thread. Check it out.

Do you want to hear that I do think it looks very neat and an addition to the boards?
