OOC: Ooooh. No. I need to clear up a few things.
- Anti-gravs do not let anyone fly in space, in this game. Only characters who are specifically applied for as being able to operate in zero gravity or upgrade into it can operate in zero gravity. Also, the ability to operate in zero gravity is considered separate from the ability to enter and exit an atmosphere. (The ability to travel from solar system to solar system in a timely fashion is a third ability entirely.) So most Decepticons have no spacing ability at all. They won't die in a vacuum, but they'll need something to climb on or shove off against.
- Corollary: Since most Decepticons cannot exit an atmosphere under their own power, most Decepticons have a flight ceiling, which may or may not be similar to the flight ceiling of the 'parent' aircraft.
- Spinister is roughly an Apache helicopter. He is, however, much faster than any helicopter ever built, let alone a stock Apache. An Apache has this never exceed speed: 197 knots (227 mph, 365 km/h). Spinister's maximum speed is stated to be 520 mph, over double the Apache. The fastest helicopter yet built by humans, the Sikorsky X2, has been unofficially clocked at 258 mph. Spinister's still over twice as fast as that. Spinister, in fact, breaks a few laws of physics and materials science to be as fast as he is – his rotors should be falling apart from the stresses of tip-shocks.
- His profile doesn't say anything about his acceleration, his rate of climb, or his flight ceiling. However, a stock Apache has this service ceiling: 21,000 ft (6,400 m) while minimum loaded and this rate of climb: 2,500 ft/min (12.7 m/s). Spinister might have a somewhat higher flight ceiling and rate of climb, given that he's stupidly fast for a helicopter, but at some point, the air's just going to get too thin to support Spinister in the air, and he won't generate enough lift, and he'll reach his flight ceiling.
- Trying to figure out specifications for a mutant wasp robot is even harder! However, since some butterflies can get up to 20,000 ft, if you want to say Waspinator can get up to 20,000 ft as his flight ceiling, that would seem to be reasonable. Ball parking a rate of climb for a mutant wasp robot is even harder than figuring out a flight ceiling. We don't have any extant aircraft that actually have rate of climb characteristics similar to a wasp.
Spinister's holo-puppet observes Waspinator hit his ceiling and follows him back down. At Waspinator's question, Spinister laughs. It's a strangled noise, nearly drowned by the sound of his rotors. Fact is, if Spinister needs to fire up, he can invert and fly upside down after a half snap-roll. But firing up is why Spinister keeps Needlenose around. Waspinator, however, doesn't deserve any of these answers, not yet, anyway. What Spinister suggests is, "Worry about people firing down on you, not me. There are a lot of flying Autobots here, almost all of them fully mechanical. You need to work on your stamina."
