Perfectly on time, Rev appeared at the tunnel where she was managing to hold down employment safely outside of working hours as planned. The plan as it was for her was easy, let her friends in, dig a tunnel, grab the goods, collapse tunnel, and hide evidence. She quickly zipped partway down the subway tunnel to be and came back with a rail cart for those who weren’t as fast on their feet as she and waited.

Impactor approaches the tunnel through a different route, and though he's not yet making his own way, so to speak, he arrives in drill-tank mode. On spying the other one intended to help secure the escape route, Impactor transforms and gives a faint nod of greeting. The boy1 seems so young. Certainly he's an odd choice of partners for the Commando!
For what is not the first and is unlikely to be the last time, Impactor wonders if he isn't really completely dead and this is some sort of hellish afterlife. Religions that held to the idea that "bad people" were punished after death were rather rare on Cybertron, but not unheard of, and Impactor can easily see himself as having earned such "punishment."
No matter.
Impactor leans against the tunnel he'll be taking out, good hand touching it to get a feel for composition. It doesn't look like he plans on starting a conversation.
1 Impactor refuses to acknowledge genders.

Rev just nods back at Impactor, one antisocial and the other shy does not a party make.
She wasn't that much of a weird choice, she had been working these tunnels herself now for the last few days, honest employment to help fund the Autobot effort that provided her shelter, energon and even a just cause. She'd been shown how to operate most of the machines and she was fairly confident she could cover any evidence of tunneling at this end. Reasonably confident anyway, kind of...
She wanted to ask Impactor if what everyone said was true, that he was technically offline but she couldn't summon the courage to ask.

Sometimes, a question hangs in the air without being asked. Impactor can't quite place his finger on what that question is, but he gets the definite impression that Rev wants to ask something.
He studies Rev quietly for a moment, letting that moment drag on uncomfortably. In part, he's trying to guess at what the racer hopes to ask, but additionally, he just wants to know how the other handles being watched.
Then, finally, when it's gone on long enough, he says three words.
"What is it?"

“Oh it’s nothing, nothing at all” she lied though the nonchalant wave of her hand tried to make it look like the truth. She immediately turned away, her head vents cycling extra air to cool down the heat from her embarrassment and nervousness.
“How long will it take you to tunnel up to the club?” Topic change, please work, please work, oh pretty please work.

Impactor studies Rev coolly, optics narrowed.
"Y'know, I ain't going to hit you," he finally declares.
"Unless you give me good reason," he adds after a moment.
Then he taps the wall again, considering. "Should be less than a minute," he answers with a shrug. "Welll. Depends. Making sure the tunnel's made so it collapses easy for our trip back out will slow us down, but making the escape faster is more important than making the entry fast."

“No no it’s just that…” she raises her hands defensively, she does not want to give reason to be hit “ahh frag it” facepalm “…on the race track…and in combat, everything is simple, there’s a finish line, here’s a target, that person is either a team mate or enemy, everything is either green light or red. There’s always a direction but social situations like this, even just two of us, I kind of get a lost because I can’t see the direction to go…” Rev sighs, a deep drawn out whine of her cooling vents as she leans against the cart, her headwings sagging. “Are you a zombie?” there, she asked, happy?

Impactor listens as Rev sputters forward, and snorts. "I suppose it makes sense. You're used to running in tunnels that someone else dug, after all."
While Impactor is the one who digs the tunnels. In a way, it only makes sense that he has to provide the direction before Rev can ask her question.
And, finally, she does. He shrugs, and nods. "Pretty much, yeah. I'm not properly alive, but not properly dead. 'Zombie' is probably as good a description as any."

“Dug!? The tunnels I used to race were as much ‘dug’ as I’m just a pile of scrap and a wheel. Sure they might not have been beautiful but they were seamless and perfect. Each track a true testament to racing in three dimensions in enclosed spaces where just finishing could be a challenge.” Rev sigh happily remembering the last race that had put her at the top of the league, the third time in a row. “On any given track, the tunnels vary in diameter, the straights wider than this subway tunnel, chicanes and corkscrew maybe two bots wide, you can either engage directly your opponents or sprint to stay ahead and out of reach…” It was obvious what technique Rev preferred, though there was once or twice she hadn’t finished because she hadn’t been able to stay ahead of the bruisers.
“So…how does that even work?” Rev had seen plenty of zombie flicks in her time, though more action flicks than not but none of them had really given a 100% plausible explanation for undead Cybertronians.

"Not quite what I was getting at," mutters Impactor as Rev goes on over the tunnel designs. Eventually, though, she wraps up and asks how being a zombie works for robots.
He shrugs. "Dunno," he answers honestly. "Perceptor asked me something similar when I first got here. Told 'im that was his job to figure out. You should go ask him if he's done it yet. All I know is I got a hole in my brain module, I'm still functioning when I shouldn't be, but nothing works like it used to and repairs don't take right anymore."

Rev was not a social butterfly at the best of times – unless she was drunk or talking about racing. Since there was zero chance of it raining booze here in the subway tunnels and Impactor showed zero interest in racing, Rev currently had zero to add to the conversation. Really she was just waiting for the actual heist.
“That sounds kind of fragged, still, better than being a pile of rust right haha..ha…” yeah she had nothing. Rev fidgeted nervously.
OOC: I’m happy to let things idle while we wait for the moneys if you are.

Impactor snorts and mutters, "Not so sure about that myself." He pushes away from the wall and walks along it for a bit, studying it as though he's looking for weak points. OOC: Seems reasonable. Neither character is particularly sociable, I fear. I did enjoy the awkward start-stops so far, though.

Rev looks at Impactor for a moment before she looks further down the tunnel then back the other way. There was something she had been wanting to do since she started this job and depending on the way tonight goes, she may never get the chance again. The walls were reasonably smooth, only barely smooth enough but they would do this once. “I’ll be back in a nano”, transforming into her car alt, she cranked the throttle and spun off towards one end of the tunnel. A minute later if one listened carefully, they might hear “Cyber key activate” in the far distance. Seconds later with a rush of wind in her wake, Rev was racing back and past Impactor, on the ceiling of the tunnel at over 400 kph. “Yyyeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” OOC: Awkward start stops are surprisingly fun.

Impactor is pretty much in the clear, since he's standing on the ground and Rev is on the ceiling. Since this is mid-mission and they're not on the Event Horizon, he reigns in the temptation to explain to the other Autobot just how annoying it is to have someone whipping by at 400 kph inside of an enclosed tunnel, but it's a near thing.
Instead he just groans and mutters, "Kids."

Impactor pushes away from the wall and transforms into drill-tank mode at the call.
"That's our cue. Look alive." She's look out and scout, right?
With no more words, his drill starts, and he is out of the thread. Should things go right, he'll be drilling right back into the thread with Mirage shortly.
(It may help to imagine a comic book where the art is done in such a way that Impactor is being shown to literally drill through the panel divider itself.)
