So....the Elita insults Drift and then wants to touch him. For a moment, Drift waivers, but let's face it: the Wreckers weren't much for, you know, civility and tact themselves.
He shrugs, holding out his arm, warily. If this turns out nasty, he can grab Elita by the throat before the strangely gracile mech would know what hit him. 'Copying weapons'? He had no idea how that would work, but if they are actually Autobots, it was a small enough thing to allow.
He tilts his head at Twin Twist. "I do not want to dance with them. I want to kill them." But the name Topspin focuses him again. Once he got away from...these mechs and back with the Wreckers, he'd find his way again.
As for Skyfire; he's about as good at welcoming diplomacy as Drift is at charm. He narrows his optics. "Reassuring. Nice to know you'll let any strangers die for your cause."
Not that it matters. As long as he gets to fight.
(oh yeah: OOC: copy away, Elita. Have fun!)

Elita-1 tilts her head and looks curiously at Skyfire, but nods before carefully placing her hand on Drift's arm for no more than the specified two seconds. Drift may note the instant access and rifling through of his specs and abilities- and the numbing sensation that accompanies the brief contact.
"Hmm," Elita's expression turns introspective, "Better armor, interesting skill set, three swords..."
A look of almost... horror dawns on her face as she realizes what one of those swords does. She gives Drift a frightened, almost incredulous look before stepping back closer to Skyfire.
She looks up at the explorer expectantly.

So Twin Twist continues to be incomprehensible to non-Wreckers (or so he thinks). He says, pretty loudly, "We're going as soon as Drift's ready."
No, Twin Twist is not waiting for Elita-1. He has his arms crossed, and his foot is tapping. He is clearly annoyed already by how much time Drift is wasting with this talking to Skyfire business, despite Drift being the one complaining about too much talk and not enough action.
Twin Twist also finds himself ever so faintly jealous that his weapons and abilities apparently aren't good enough for Elita-1 to want to copy, but this stranger's are, and he's not entirely sure why.

If Skyfire had eyebrows, he'd be raising one now, Spock-fashion. Drift seems rather... bristly to him. Much like his old partner Starscream, but so far without the underlying insecurity. It could still be there, he hadn't seen enough of Drift yet to know. Perhaps dealing with him the same way would help--ignore the provocations, apply patience and reason.
"Weren't you the one who decided to dash into the fray? You are an Autobot, and free to choose to spend your life how you wish. We don't usually let new arrivals dash off into the middle of our ship without confirming that they are, in fact, Autobots and in their right minds. Right now is exceptional because of the attack. We are taking a risk, and that worries me--but I prefer to start with trust rather than suspicion and fear." He gives Drift an almost shy smile.
If Perceptor and Kup hadn't trusted him, Skyfire would be scrap metal scattered across the surface of Gillanan III by his good friend Starscream. However, he's pragmatic; that big cannon is still close to hand.
"Acknowledged, Twin Twist. Elita, sounds like things are moving very fast; I, uh, guess I can talk to you later," Skyfire says a bit sheepishly.

Drift shakes his arm, bending and flexing his fingers after the Elita removes his hand. He could not afford to lose mobility in his hands. Guns could be fired with no finesse--a sword required infinite care.
He has no idea what to do with the horrified look he gets from the Elita, so he shrugs, grunting, turning to Skyfire.
Yes, he was right. Drift had been holding things up, needlessly, and all to protect some notion of 'honor'. Wing, Drift thought, would be disappointed: falling for ideologies again.
"I wear your insignia. Is that good enough for you or not? If not, why bother?" But Skyfire's words about trust take him back. He...was not exactly welcomed by the Autobots, even the Wreckers. Trust? He'd had to earn it. He has no idea what to do with someone who just gave it. Like Skyfire.
Like Wing.
"Sorry," he mutters. It sounds churlish, but it's the best he can do. He can't afford to let his cortex go there, not right before battle.
He turns to Twin Twist. "Yes. Let's go." The plural, 'let's' is a real effort for him.
(ooc: he refers to Elita as 'the Elita' and with a male pronoun to reflect that he has...no idea what a female is. She's a he that's just...strange looking.)

Twin Twist wasn't in the room when Elita asked! He was in too much if a hurry, remember?
Elita frowns at Skyfire. The explorer has completely confused her.
"Sure. You should have my frequency, if you need me," she says.
She moves up nearer Drift and Twin Twist, ready to follow them both out. She casts another wary look at Drift before commenting in a careful tone.
"I suppose I shouldn't use the big one unless I get desperate, huh?"
OOC: Of course! Makes perfect sense!

If Twin Twist was smarter, he'd probably think that Elita-1 is being a bit of a hypocrite, citing chapter and verse at him and calling in over the radio about the proper way of doing things to get the Autobot Commander to weigh in and then ditching all that responsibility the first chance she gets to go get into a scrap. Twin Twist's not really smart enough to nail what she's doing down as hypocrisy, though. He mostly just thinks of her in some of the same terms he usually reserves for his own long-gone Prowl, which, for the sake of decency, will not be repeated here exactly but paraphrased. Loves her rules and regulations, but when the chips are down, she just wants to get her hands dirty and burn rubber, just like everyone else, and she thinks that pretending she's so very good with rules makes her better than everyone else.
Twin Twist tries to put Drift between himself and Elita-1. Maybe Drift will feel surrounded. Maybe Elita-1 will feel excluded. Twin Twist doesn't care. He glances at Drift's symbol, the one he won't call his own, and he mutters, "It's not that easy."
There are Maximals, and they have those little fox-head symbols, and then there are folks who don't wear any symbols at all, and then there are the evil Autobots and good Decepticons that Twin Twist read about in the database, and they confuse him sorely, and then there are Wreckers and Technobots.
Either way, he's headed off, and if people actually have their slag together enough to follow, he's headed out.

Skyfire nods slowly in acknowledgment to Drift. That 'Sorry', however reluctant, tells him one very important thing: Drift isn't like Starscream at all. Starscream would have dropped the issue, but he would never have apologized, never allowed the least hint he might have been wrong.
"Good luck," Skyfire says softly. "And good hunting."
"It's all right, Elita. Just a few thoughts I had that can wait until later," Skyfire said.
"Confirmed rock force field is on, and I'll secure the room behind you. Radio if you need back in. I expect this room to be attacked if the Decepticons aren't held to the bridge, so this door," Skyfire indicates the portal that leads out to the hallway, "will be locked down. I won't be opening it to unknowns. Good luck, and take care. I want to see you all in one piece after this is over."
Perhaps he's explaining too much; he frequently does that, forgetting that though not everyone is as intelligent as he is, they aren't really that stupid. This time, however, he's thinking that battle is just another emergency situation, and you want to be absolutely crystal-clear in an emergency.
--- Since everyone is about to leave, Skyfire will be out-of-thread at that point. If Decepticons want to attack the rock room, we can start a new thread.

(Oh you people and your physical details like who's already left the room! (that is to say, oops! ))Drift turned to the Elita, really not doing a very good job hiding the irritation that he just somehow magically got a Great Sword. "You shouldn't use the 'big one' at all." He...really doesn't want to get into a big debate about a stupid insignia: one he's not even sure he's comfortable with. With Wing, at another time...maybe. But not these strangers. "I'll show you everything you need to know about what I stand for." Huh. Now he remembered why he didn't say much. That probably didn't make any sense. So...he'll just nod an acknowledgment at Skyfire and follow Twin Twist. He's better with his swords than his mouth.

Elita could get into an argument with Twin Twist about her following procedure and getting permission before haring off makes all the difference, but it wouldn't matter. She may not be as crazy in regards to the Autobot Code of Military Conduct as Sentinel Prime, but she was brought up in a very military society.
In other words, she does things a certain way because that is the way it is done, so that is the way she must do it.
"Hrm."
Elita heads out with the others. Inwardly, she can't help thinking that if her future self had a weapon like Drift's sword during the debacle with the spiders, she'd certainly have risked death and used it.
OOC: Changing threads or staying here?

OOC: We may as well stay here for now, since Barricade and Mirage needs to play out a bit more before we wander over there, unless we spy another thread that looks good for the three to run through.
Twin Twist transforms, but he doesn't go peeling off again, instead keeping pace with however fast Elita-1 and Drift are walking. His drills slowly rotate, cutting nothing but air.
He stays out of the discussion about using swords or not using swords. He particularly stays out of the discussion of whether or not size matters. Twin Twist concerns himself with practical matters, "Who wants tail? I'll get point."
Twin Twist is responsible for Drift, and Elita-1 seems awfully young. Going first is just the decent thing to do. Tail's pretty crummy, too, given that if they're ambushed from the rear, tail gets hit first, but he'll let Drift and Elita-1 decide who wants to deal with that.

(ooc: so...we're hangin' out here? coo)l
"I will." He snaps at Twin Twist, glaring at the Elita, just in case the diminutive mech who was now carrying a replica of his sword--WING's sword--tried to prove something. He'd've claimed point if...he had any idea where they were going. He was not going to stay safe and cozy in the middle.
He has about a million questions, but they're all stupid. What's going on here? Why does everyone look so...weird? But there's really only one question that really matters.
"What are we up against?"

That leaves Elita-1 in the middle. Why is she always in the middle?
"Depends on the route. According to reports, there are Starscream and other heavy hitters at the main bridge and the floor below, and Scourge," a slight pause, "has a team trying to take out our engines. Mayday should be locking down the ship in sections and getting us away from the space station to minimize collateral damage."
"From here we could intersect with Breakaway, or Perceptor and Sentinel- maybe Skid-Z if we jump floors. No one's reported anyone inside ship near the engines, and Rodimus has taken a team that way."
She doesn't mention Mirage and Barricade, because Mirage didn't report on the Autobot broadband.
"Truth is, we should be close to even with them power-wise. The problem is that... a lot of the Autobots here are more civilian than military. Or are very young."
Like herself.

"Skid-Z or the bridge could probably use the help the most," Twin Twist reasons aloud. Consulting his map, which Topspin thoughtfully annotated and corrected for him, he flips into robot mode and slides into a lift chute, grabbing for the emergency button.
If he has this right, it'll take them past Skid-Z and then off to the bridge.
Twin Twist pokes his head out of the lift and adds, to Elita-1's summary, "The zombie's on our side, but the guys that look like zombies usually aren't zombies."

"We should go to the main bridge," Drift said. That's where the most fearsome enemy was? That's where they should be. Correction: he should be. They should be...somewhere else. Squabbling over their petty rules and chains of command.
If he had access to a map, he'd consider ditching them before they got to the bridge . If they were even going there. This looked like it was going to set up to be another of their tiffs. While the battle roared on.
But he doesn't; so he growls and follows. For now.
But...one name. "Perceptor. He's here?" Stupid thought; stupid hope. Perceptor knew nothing about him; probably wasn't even conscious when Drift had pulled him off Turmoil's ship. Stupid to get your hopes up, Drift. But still...it meant Perceptor survived, and was here.
Someone might remember him.
And then..."..zombies?" Something from the Dead Universe?
This just got... a whole lot darker.
