"Life need not revolve around warfare," Dinobot agrees. "But for those that choose the warrior's path, there can be a nobility to be found nowhere else. A bot can truely learn the measure of himself in battle against worthy opponents." He tries to imagine who a worthy opponent for Spy Shot 6 would be. Maybe one of Tarantulas's little drones? Yes, that works. He can totally imagine the little cameraformer standing atop a pile of their deactivated chassis, sword held aloft and glinting in the sun. The hypothetical brings a smile to his face.
The raptor nods at Kup when he talks about 'giving other folks the option.' He concurs with what the old veteran is implying.

“You guys are the experts here,” Farlane says with a neutral shrug. And he did say it wasn’t always a choice didn’t he? Still, it would’ve been nice to know he could’ve said no. It wouldn’t have made his life any easier but it would’ve been a nice piece of information to have. Albeit, his younger self probably wouldn’t have done anything with it.
The pink car raises a brow at Dinobot... and ever-so-casually shuffles his seat closer to Spy Shot. The teeny tiny camera kid in battle. Right. “Eh, fighting’s pretty okay,” he says, stretching his curvy legs out and grinning in the Maximal’s direction. “Ever tried flower arrangin’ though? It’s tough stuff, man, really tests your mettle. I tried flower arrangin’ and I found out more ‘bout myself than I did in any barfight. Like, ever.”

Spy Shot tilts his head slightly as every says their pieces. All this talk of fighting and choosing the warrior's path seems somewhat separate to him from the concept of just protecting those in need.
Piping up, he asks, "I am not a warrior and I do not know much about fighting. Should I?" Every but Farlane seems to be making out fighting to be the in thing, whatever their individual reasons, though Kup did group in people who just helped with the war. Perhaps his next question would be to expand upon ways one could help out with the war. Hopefully these would cross over with protecting those in need some. He would not want to have to take on more tasks than he could easily handle!

Kup turns to look at Farlane. He snorts. "What were you arrangin'? Morphobots?" He then turns back towards his round of the room, again checking the walls, making sure everything that people aren't using at the moment is put away while he listens to the conversation.
"I'm thinkin' you should probably focus more on the support aspects," Kup tells Spy Shot, glancing over at the diminutive robot. "I mean, might not hurt to learn a move or two, but... you should probably just stick with figuring ways to make use of what you're good at, y'know? Watching things and staying hidden's plenty useful at the right times."

"I don't see much nobility in what I do. Style, if I'm lucky, but I'd rather be sky-painting, honestly. Just... I can't paint the sky when it's clotted with the soot and ash of endless war," Skyblast muses.
He stands, still stretching. "Flower-arranging sounds nice. I'll have to look into that when I have the time. See if Botanica has anything she needs culled and ask her for the scraps."
Skyblast recommends to Spy Shot 6, "Nah. Just take it from me, don't pick Ironhide as your first teacher."

"Are you mocking me?" Dinobot growls at Farlane, an edge in his voice.
"War does take its toll on the environment. Innocents can be inadvertently harmed in battle," he says, looking at Skyblast. The painter's talk of the sky clotted with soot and ash reminds him of a conversation he had with Tigatron. "But none of that is as bad as the potential consequences of failing to fight."
"Concentrate on your strengths in your desire to help others, but shore up your weaknesses. They are where your enemy will strike you," Dinobot suggests to Spy Shot.

Boondocker turns to Farlane. "I ain't ever done any flower arrangin', but a lil' bit of landscaping type stuff. That was more to keep the grass an' stuff from overwhelming the areas it was in. Never done it artistically."
Then he looks at Spy Shot. "I kinda agree with Kup - knowing how to is good. I see it as a necessary evil, given our situation. I prefer not to fight if I can avoid it, though. I'm no warrior."

“Fightin’s pretty important, even in times of peace,” Farlane admits. “It’s one a’ those ‘just-in-case’ skills that you wanna have on hand in case anything goes wrong. Like havin’ a first aid box ‘round but a bit more confrontational.”
“Ya kiddin’?” the pink car snorts at Dinobot. “Plant decor’s serious stuff, man!” Although he might still be mocking the little dino anyways. Not like he’s about to clarify.
“I hear it livens up the place, but it’s really pretty temporary ‘less you’re growing a garden,” he says to Skyblast. “‘Course, considerin’ you do sky paintin’ I guess you’re pretty into temp art, huh?”
“Sometimes!” Farlane chirps cheerful in answer to Kup. “It pays really well t’ wrangle plant monsters into decoration fer some reason. Mind, you’re probably not gonna be very sane at the end of it.” And then he glances down at Spy Shot and remembers what they were talking about. “Buuuut I ain’t talkin’ ‘bout that kinda flower arrangin’.”
“Oh, dude, artsy gigs,” Farlane chuckles and takes a sip from his cube as he glances over at Boondocker. “If ya ever land an artsy gig, you better tighten yer screws and get ready for some screamin’ at. The super rich artistic types who can afford that stuff ain’t a real friendly lot. If you like your peace n’ quiet, you’re better off jus’ haulin’ dirt.”

"Oh, okay," Spy Shot says with a nod, and makes a note to watch somebody while they're practicing combat in the future. Watching is the best form of learning, right?
Looking down at himself, he tries to figure out what his weaknesses might be that his enemy would strike at. His head tilts to the side. "Should I have eyes installed in my back?" Hey, that's not a bad idea. 360-degree vision, he'd be able to see more at a time!
Helpfully, he adds, "I like flowers."

"I... wouldn't go that far," Kup says as he finishes his circuit of the room, which of course leads him right back to the door. "You, erm, might notice that most of us don't have eyes in our back, either. A lot of it's just being more alert with what you've got, though that seems to be one of your strengths, anyway."
He nods towards those in the rooms. "Whelp, as interesting as this... conversation is, I've gotta finish my route. See you all around later." And with that, he heads out.

Skyblast tosses up a hand and clarifies, "Hey, I can't do what I want because of the war. That's why I fight to win."
He nods and rearranges himself. "My art's not made to last."
Skyblast's not sure he can speak against the extra optics. Those could look pretty cool, if done right.

Dinobot growls, tightening his grip on the arms of his chair as Farlane continues to compare warfare with horticulture.
"You can't avoid it," he says, switching his attention to Boondocker in order to keep himself from attempting to murder Farlane. "Sooner or later the Decepticons will force a confrontation, and we'll all be called upon to take up arms. When that time comes you'd best have enough skill to defend yourself." If Dinobot was in charge, combat drills would be mandatory and ongoing.
The raptor blinks, looking down at the tiny cameraformer. "Extra optics are likely unnecessary." Though even if he did get eyes on his back, Spy Shot still wouldn't be the weirdest-looking Movie-bot.

Boondocker winces twice - first at Farlane. "Maybe I'll just stick to keepin' the grass trimmed, then. I doubt Miz Botanica would 'preciate if I just wandered into the biosphere with hedge trimmers and just went to town on a bush."
The second wince goes to Dinobot. "I'd like to think I am, but I probably need more practice," he says, the run-in with the 'Cons and their evil alternates all too fresh still. He's in no hurry to repeat what happened with Shockwave.

Technically, Farlane was comparing the experience of self discovery in random horticulture related jobs to the experience of self discovery in battle. Regardless, it probably would’ve annoyed Dinobot anyways and it was waaay more fun to just sit and watch the little robot brood than go into semantics.
“Eyes on the back of the head?” Farlane repeats waving a brief goodbye to Kup as the old timer leaves. “That’s going to be a bit of work if you want ‘em, what with the whole installation process and the plain ol’ gettin’ used to ‘em.”
“The fightin’ thing?” The pink car sounds almost tired although he chuckles and shrugs it off. “I’m gettin’ there, I guess. I’ve only ever gotten into brawls so out n’ out gunfights are kinda outta my league at the moment. But I’ll get there.” Really, he’s already there; he just needs to act like he isn’t.

"Oh," Spy Shot says with a nod, then waves to Kup as he leaves. "Goodbye."
"What weakness should I shore up?" he asks Dinobot. He's having difficulties thinking of weaknesses on his own. No, it doesn't even occur to him that his size might be a weakness. He gets on fine and it has its advantages.
He nods again to Farlane. "Perhaps it would be more effort than it's worth, if I do not really need them."
