Breakaway is in full-on Sniper Mode right now. He is camping Duskwing's spawn and the first thing out of that doorway is going to get hot star-stuff through it. Unfortunately, the first thing out of the door is a packet of cluster bomblets. Breakaway hits the improvised explosive dead center before it has a chance to impact, but since close does count in hand grenades, still gets knocked back on his aft by the blast. He skids backward down the hallway, leaving a trail of sparks.
It takes a moment before his optical and audio systems reboot fully, leaving the jetformer with blurred vision and a ringing in his ears. He shakes his head to clear it, incidentally shaking loose fragments of his canopy.
Breakaway then ignites his own jet engine and speeds off after Duskwing, gatling gun at the ready. He's not going to be using his sniper rifle for a while. Explosions tend to be bad for precision instruments.
The Seeker might have a considerable head-start by this point.

So much for quiet looting and pillaging without Bot interference! Duskwing rockets around a corner--the area looks familiar, suddenly, and that means the bridgebig hole they entered by should be up that hall, left at the intersection, through the door, and follow the long curving corridor to the bow...
Duskwing rockets up the hall at top robot-mode speed, careens left around the intersection and--
WHAAMMMM!
--hits the closed blast door. HARD. A last instant attempt to pull up results in his left wing hitting first and folding up like an accordion, followed by the rest of him. The door 'GONGS' with the massive impact, and Duskwing slides slowly to the floor, out of the massive dent that has warped the door in its frame. He's out for the count.
That door won't be opening anytime soon, even if the Autobots want it to.

Even though Duskwing is far enough ahead that Breakaway can't see him, he can still hear, and the sound of the Seeker hitting a blast door at full speed is hard to miss.
He comes around the corner and lands next to the unconscious Decepticon, staring for a moment and then bursting out laughing when he realizes what must have happened.
"I guess I'm two for two today!" he jests, putting in a call to the Broadband.

Duskwing is a wreck. His left wing, as previously mentioned, is folded up like an accordion; his left air intake is noticeable twisted as well as flattened. It's hard to see his face, as he's laying face-down but judging from the dent in his helm, it's probably in no better shape. The left arm has come completely off.
He offers no resistance to Breakaway, being obviously offline.
...except for the dim glow in one functional optic that no one can see.

Breakaway picks up Duskwing by his legs and starts dragging him down the corridor. "Looks like you're going for an orbit, pal. May as well space your buddy with the aiming problem while I'm at it," he comments.
OOC: Duskwing manhandled with permission.

The thing about dragging wreckage away is you don't look at it too closely. It's just wreckage, after all--not going anywhere by itself. Limbs dangle by shreds of metal, flopping carelessly about. Twisted wings drag against the floor unevenly, causing the body to turn slowly over...
As his face turns ceilingward, revealing one good optic next to one that is smashed and dead, Duskwing raises his arm-gun and jams the muzzle in between Breakaway's exposed machinery--and fires, holding down the trigger until the laser's drained or he's flung aside.
"Not... gonna.. trash... me!" His voice is weak and static-filled, but determined, and full of hate.

Breakaway reacts to try and fend off Duskwing's attack, but the Seeker has the element of surprise, and Breakaway isn't quite fast enough. He grabs Duskwing's arm-gun, but not before he's fired it several times.
He looks down at Duskwing for a moment, just standing there, then his optics dim and he slowly topples backward, a smoking hole in his midsection.
OOC: Out of thread due to unconsciousness.

Duskwing drags himself to the wall with his one good arm and leg pushing, then slowly, painfully pulls himself erect. He jams his broken arm into the ruins of his left side and wing until it catches on enough metal to stay put, and starts limping back down the hallway in the direction Breakaway came from, holding onto the wall for support.
Somewhere back there, one of there own was down. Misfire wasn't a jerk. Couldn't hit the broad side of Broadside, but he wasn't a pretentious officer wannabe, or worse, an officer. He didn't treat Duskwing like gutter-scrapings or a mindless drone. In short, he didn't commit any of the many sins that would have encouraged Duskwing to "forget" that he was a casualty in enemy territory.
---- Find Misfire offscreen, someone else, or what? Otherwise, I think this thread is over.
