[Skid-Z]

Skid-Z races to the front of the ship, distracted enough only to log into a monitor for a status update. Ah darn... //Hull breach at [that brand new hole Barricade made], gonna try and slow that down!//

And on the way he is, racing the halls and a flight of stairs. Occasionally if they're close enough, he habitually presses the emergency locks on doors. He hopes that they'll make it harder for the enemy to enter the deeper levels of the ship.

The racer passes a security station, makes a u-turn and begins to pound in his code to manually activate this turret-system. //Someone able to get the internal autoguns online all at once?//

((Foxhunting season is open! Also, assumption made that the ship has some mundane internal defenses.))

[Assault/Arthur Aldrin]

Look out Skid-Z! Out from behind the corner pops a certain blue Seeker, his rifle raised and already opening fire, aiming for the console to try and take it out before the racer can do anything that he was planning. "Not so hasty, Autobot! The only thing that you shall rush towards today is your demise!"

[Brawl]

Hopefully Assault was not trying to be sneaky, because Brawl rounds the corner right behind him.

"'The only thing that you shall rush towards today is your demise?'" he mimics, laughing. "That's the line you're going with?! What, do you rehearse these in front of a mirror?" he mocks, leveling his pistol in Skid-Z's general direction and firing.

[Skid-Z]

Skid-Z is just in time to jump back from the console as Assault shoots to destroy it. "Hey, was using that!" he whines.

There isn't much difference between staying here and making a run for it. Making a run for it now means getting shot in the back.

Question: How fast does an Autobot have to go to be rushing to his demise, in theory?
In practise, this Autobot simply launches himself at the two (gunning for topspeed and cybertronian/F1 engine blazing), ducking to slide past down below at the last second. Is this what Autobots normally do?
"You better than Megatron, then!?"

That, is no bluff.

//Cons here! [Hallway #] Blue seeker and a green one with a barrel on his back.//

((Taking this option because running away wouldn't be so exciting))

[Assault/Arthur Aldrin]

Assault never stops unloading his weapon on Skid-Z, even when he quips back at Brawl. "At least I put effort and creativity into my taunts, Brawl! You have been recycling the same material for eons now!"

But he is rather surprised by what the Autobot does next. He expected Skid-Z to run, to seek cover, not to come running towards them! Assault tries to fire at Skid-Z, but his hits only hit the ground when the racer dives inbetween them. But this DOES leave him with a rather interesting opening!

//Brawl, keep that runt occupied!// He quickly runs towards the panel that Skid-Z was occupying moments ago, yanking it off and shoving his hand into the inner workings. Perhaps he can hack it and take control of this corridor's auto-defenses!

[Brawl]

"That's because I spend time tryin' to hurt 'bots instead of tryin' to hurt their feelings!" Brawl has indeed used this line many, many times over the years. He was extremely proud of himself for thinking of it. A good comeback is like a good gun, he feels: with proper maintenance, it should last forever, no matter how tired everyone else gets of it.

"Come back here, you little Autoscrap! I just wanna kill you!" the Combaticon yells, hurrying to keep up with Skid-Z and taking a potshot at him as he speeds by.

//Sure. You just mess with the computer and I'll do all the work.// That suits Brawl just fine, actually. He gets to keep all the violence to himself.

[Skid-Z]

"Awh, but we're having so much fun!" Skid-Z taunts.
Then he sees what Assault is doing, or, where he is right now. "Hey, keep a-ah!"

Brawl's shot hits and skims a bit of armor. Skid-Z hisses, transforms and blasts off at almost instant topspeed at the command, "Spin drive!"
This attack allows the F1 to maneuvre very small distances at very high speed with great precision. "Don't lose your head, 'Con!"

//Blue seeker's trying to hack the gun system or something, I'm trying to get him off but there's a tank in the way!//

[Assault/Arthur Aldrin]

Oh, Brawl, he will never change, will he?

//Remember, Brawl, when dealing with particularly fast pests, deal with them using tactic 47B!// While saying this, Assault keeps rummaging around inside the open panel, reconnecting wires and tearing out others. "There....Now to reset the target perimeters..." He murmurs, orange optics narrowed as he comes ever closer to his goal. Now let's just hope that Brawl can keep this Autobot busy until he's done!

[Brawl]

//What the heck is Tactic 47B?! Speak Cybertronian, scrappit!// Brawl transmits back to Assault, angry as always.

The Combaticon moves to stand between Assault and Skid-Z, and when Skid-Z transforms, Brawl does too, dropping down into tank mode, which, thanks to the magic of mass shifting, makes him larger than he is in robot mode. He blocks more of the corridor this way!

He rotates his turret, aiming not where the Formula 1 racer is, but where he's going to be, before firing a shell. It remains to be seen whether he can actually rotate his turret fast enough to keep up with the Autobot car. Stay tuned, sports fans!

[Skid-Z]

With Brawl's mass shifting in effect, Skid-Z finds himself that much closer to the treaded machine. The racer decides to be extra pesky by halting right. next. to. it.

See how Brawl fares shooting where he's going to be if where Skid-Z is is right at his side.
The Autobot transforms back, fast because he's a flipchanger, and attempts to shoot past Brawl, past Assault, straight into the open hole that once contained the security system panel.

But he's not done with Brawl, laying out a taunt;
"Awh, what are you trying to do, you big green pile of slag? Brain locked down? Running stagnated energon in there? What will you ever do about this?"

'Turn and run me and your pall over' is what the F1 car hopes for.

//Whoops, did I mention tank? Live tank fire here! If this goes on I'll need to go for tactical retreat.//

[Assault/Arthur Aldrin]

Skid-Z is fast, but not quite fast enough. Assault turns to him and narrows his optics, a faint hint at a smirk on his face, the reason why soon revealed as hatches along the corridor pop open. Out come the turrets, but they are not targeting and firing on the Decepticons. Instead, they turn on Skid-Z, firing off rapid laser volleys.

But Assault is not content to let the turrets do all the work for him! He moves to block the tampered remains of the panel with his back, trying to make it hard for the Autobot to get to them, and makes it just a bit harder by unloading his rifle on Skid-Z. If he does manage to get close, well, let's see how he likes the butt of the Seeker's weapon going for his face!

[Brawl]

"Hey, no cheatin'!" Brawl shouts as Skid-Z skids to a halt inside his minimum range. It's very hard to shoot people when they're under the barrel of your cannon. This is why tanks have machine guns mounted on their turrets. Brawl swivels his secondary weapon down toward the racer, firing all the time and littering the floor with spent bullets. He tracks Skid-Z's movements as he dashes past, which has the unfortunate effect of him firing right at Assault once the Autobot is between them.

[Skid-Z]

"Says a Con" Skid-Z retorts to Brawl while he takes hits from the laserguns.

For some reason, Assault can find the scout fluidly diverting the blow aimed for his face* even though others could do so way better and launch it into an attack. Skid-Z merely ducks to use Brawl's guns as a weapon now.

The racer decides to exit stage left, and he's going to try to run around the corner out of reach of both the Decepticons and the Autoguns.

//Autoguns here are now pointed for Autobots, making tactical retreat due to being outnumbered and overpowered//

*The players of both Skid-Z and Ultra Magnus agreed that Skid-Z would be trained in Diffusion at Day 21, even though there have probably been RL situations not allowing for time to make the starter post.

[Assault/Arthur Aldrin]

Assault expected the butt of his rifle to hit the Autobot's face with an utmost satisfying crunch. He did not expect to be completely diverted! He doesn't even get time to wonder what the hell happened because he's now in Brawl's direct line of fire. "OW! STOP FIRING, YOU BLASTED IDIO-GAH!"

As soon as Brawl stops firing he sends a glare at the Combaticon, before turning to get his revenge on Skid-Z...Only to see him gone. "Blast it all!"

[Brawl]

"Shut up!" Brawl retorts to Skid-Z's retreating back.

"Oh! Oops! Sorry," he says as he ceases fire. If a tank can manage to look sheepish, he does. "Heh. That was pretty funny, though."
