Impactor snickers at Twin Twist's... interpretation of his own words, but doesn't correct the Jumpstarter. Guzzles comment elicits a grin. "Eh, that's one of the best things about operating behind the lines - not too many directions that you can shoot that's the wrong ones."
Impactor, for his part, has had enough that his mood is improved considerably. There's a bit of slurring to his words here and there, though it's not so bad. He's quicker at the laughter, a booming sound, and will happily elbow whoever's sitting next to him now and again to emphasize the point. He picks up his most recent mug and empties it, then peers inside. "Well, the good news is, this stuff may taste like used hydraulic fluid," this may or may not be true - Impactor's sense of taste is no longer as good as it used to be, "but it still seems to work!"
Then he slams down the mug. Sooner or later, someone else will refill it. "So anyway, how 'bout you alternate Wreckers, huh? What kinda stories have you got?"

"What?" Twin Twist asks, staring at Springer with true innocence.
He's definitely less on-edge given that Impactor seems slightly less likely to introduce him to his own drills face-first.
Twin Twist slurps down some of his drink and comments, "More like ten vorn old de-icing fluid, but oooh!" He points a finger over at Ultra Magnus. "I want to hear what you've wrecked and ruled."

Topspin is still fine. He does seem a bit more loose and languid, but his mind's still clear. Little has changed since he's started tossing them back, but it takes a lot to get him smashed, so it's to be expected.
A little buzz of warmth not born entirely of his drinking forms in his chest at seeing Twin Twist relax a little. It's good to see. He grins, "Seems to be doing you in pretty well for de-icing fluid," and slides another drink over to Twin Twist preemptively. What? Sure, Topspin's happier because Twin Twist is, but that doesn't mean he's off the hook.
Ultra Magnus as a Wrecker. If the drinks they served here were half as rich, they'd have a lot of the prim and proper types skulking about for sure. "That makes two of us, Twin Twist." he nods, raising his drink in agreement.

Skyfire is still steadily drinking down those Benzedrine Darks; quiet as he is, it's hard to tell if they're affecting him. At least he hasn't gotten loud and maudlin. "Try the Dark, it's pretty good," Skyfire suggests, then looking closer at Twin Twist, adds, "on the other hand, you're happy with what you've got." And probably can't tell what you're drinking at this point...
"Me, I'd like to hear everyone's stories!"

Until the very moment Twin Twist calls him out, Ultra Magnus is as much at ease as anyone here has likely ever seen him; the pleasant numbness in his processors brought on by the drinks helps. He has been listening, even smiling here or there, and for a moment or two he feels almost more a part of the group than he ever did even with his own Wreckers.
Then Twin Twist turns to him, demands he share, and that sense of camaraderie evaporates in the blink of an eye. Nothing he can tell them is anything as spectacular as what they've offered and most of his stories involve tracking down and arresting dissidents. His greatest combat achievement with the Wreckers is getting Roadbuster and Whirl killed before he could find a way to take down the Stunticons. Magnus shifts his weight uneasily, leans more heavily into the wall, and stares into his drink.
"If you're looking for tales like yours," he says apologetically, "I don't have any. My Wreckers were peacekeepers. Doing our jobs properly meant we had nothing to do." He pauses, then gives his drink a watery, fond smile and adds, "My Twin Twist liked to complain about the boredom."

For a moment, Springer frowns at Guzzle's remark. "Depends on the situation, Guzzle."
---
"Ooo, if I could control my damn body, I'd smack that shortstack right upside his head for that!"
---
Springer slugs back the remainder of his drink, then gives Magnus a lopsided grin. "Aw, c'mon - surely you got something, like that time we screwed up at Tagan Heights. Wasn't exactly pretty, but it all kinda worked out in the end. Kind of. It could've went worse, at any rate."

Guzzle grins at the others before looking at his boss, nodding because he does agree with Springer!"Yeah, ain't my call, is the boss'. But I'll turn my head away if the commander deems it has to happen." Though probably not for the reason that Springer might have expected.
He was about to focus on the others again, when Springer lets something very interesting slip. Now, Guzzle isn't exactly the brightest bulb, but he's sharp enough to know that what the triple changer just said isn't right. He turns to look at him, one optic narrowing and the other widening in a questioning and surprised look. "Err, 'we', sir? Do we even HAVE a Tagan Heights back home?"

Impactor, of course, is from neither Springer nor Ultra Magnus's reality. He might have thought the 'we' bit was odd, given that he knows that Ultra Magnus and Springer aren't from the same reality, but really, he's in a good mood and has a fair amount of drink in him.
Guzzle's reaction gets his attention, though he doesn't remark on it, instead settling into his seat. As predicted, his drink's been refilled, so he lifts the mug to take another gulp, now listening perhaps more alertly than he had before, but giving no sign of it.
He is still, after all, waiting on a story.

Twin Twist sways a little in his seat and then takes the drink Topspin just slid in front of him, and he explains to Skyfire, "I'm just drinking whatever Topspin puts in front of me."
He slams some of it back, leans over the table, and peers at Ultra Magnus intently, saying slowly, "So you are telling me that you have never faced something bigger and badder than you, because if you didn't do it, it wouldn't get done?" His expression is deadly serious.
Then Twin Twist relaxes and finishes, "Okay. You're the rookie then. Don't worry. I'll make sure you get through this alive, and next time, you can tell us what we all just did, because we'll be bombed enough that we want to hear it again."

"Tagan Heights? Where and when was that, Boss?" Topspin affects a raised brow, curiosity piqued. He's never heard about this little adventure before, and he's known Springer a long time. Maybe it happened in this dimension before he got here, or before his time as a Wrecker. Depends on what Springer meant by "we". He's hoping it has to do with something he and Ultra Magnus did here. Even if it's not his Ultra Magnus, if he's anything like the one back home, he'll still be a stickler for protocol, but a lot cooler than Mr. I-shroud-my-office-in-darkness Prowl. Topspin's optic band squints meaningfully. It should be interesting to hear either way.
He peers at Twin Twist, snorting, "Not that you wouldn't just get your own drinks if I didn't put them in front of you, anyway." Topspin starts to slide another drink towards Twin Twist, but catches it with his other hand at the last moment before raising it to his fellow Jumpstarter with a smirk and taking a swig. It's the same stuff he's been drinking all night, but somehow, this cup tastes a lot better. Imagine that.
When Twin Twist dubs Ultra Magnus the rookie, he snorts again, and starts to snicker.

Skyfire leans forward, listening for the stories to come.. or not, as the case may be. He also signals the waitress for another Benzedrine Dark before he's quite finished his current one, which means an extra mug of pure rocket fuel will be sitting in front of him for a few minutes....

Ultra Magnus gives Twin Twist a cool, prim sort of look over his cup and takes a sip.
"I said I've done nothing spectacular," he corrects the Jumpstarter smoothly, "not that I've done nothing at all. Ramping off a pile of rubble and running engine first into Menasor isn't nearly as impressive as your tales." His stare seems to slide across the table to Springer, optics narrowing and one brow rising higher than the other. "But you know all about combiners and just what they can do, Springer, after that little adventure at the Tagan Heights." Still watching Springer with a suspicious eye, he gestures toward Twin Twist with his free hand, fingers loosely spread and palm upturned. "Elaborate for our boisterous teammate here, would you?"

The reactions from Magnus, Guzzle, and Topspin make Springer's oil run cold as he realizes his slip. "Ah...uh..." Springer looks at his mug, half-grinning. "Man, this stuff is stronger than I thought. I got a little confused - mixed up a story Magnus told Guzzle and me before..." He looks up at Magnus, putting forth his best not-knowing-what-you're-saying look. "What's a 'Menasor'?"

Having just been sitting back and listening, she's really got nothing to contribute as any sort of war story, Oracle doesn't really look the least bit drunk though she has been slowly working her way through drinks. That's mostly because she's indeed doing so slowly, but she's also cheating her fuel consumption a bit. A bar is the last place she wants to be drunk, no matter the company. Ironic as it might be.
And the company has been good, she's more relaxed than she's been in a while, even if she feels more like a observer to things than really part of it. But it doesn't take an outside observer to catch the suspicious reactions to something Springer said, and Oracle ends up watching him verbally cover up curiously. Interesting. What was the big deal there?
Still skippable.

Guzzle keeps looking at Springer, a strange look that shows that the minibot isn't exactly clear on what to think. But then he just shrugs it off and focusses on his drink, while saying "Feh, never took ya fer a lightweight like the others, boss." As far as Guzzle's concerned, the matter is done. He won't stop others from continuing this though.
