Swindle doesn't immediately open fire when the door opens, though he'd be lying if he said his trigger circuits didn't twitch. After all, it could be a Decepticon out there. When it seems there isn't anyone on the other side of the door, the arms dealer reaches into the drawer in his chest, pulls out a small cylindrical object, and twists the top before tossing it casually out into the hall.
The incendiary grenade beeps and a red light on top flashes for about five seconds before it explodes.
Cloaking technology isn't an unheard of ability. Swindle has sold some himself. It makes sense to check for it, since he knows there's no Decepticons that can become invisible.

Certain you have no ghosting Decepticons, are you Swindle?
Mirage jerks his head back as the grenade comes sailing through the doorway. He slips around the doorframe just as the explosive ignites the room behind him.
Hrm. Getting out will be fun, perhaps. For both of them.
Mirage's tech was good before, and it's better since the forced upgrade. Always impeccable at adjusting to sudden changes in lighting, it is now smooth as glass, seamless. He'll only be given away if he gives himself away. Though getting the goods out with Swindle right there is going to be difficult. Mirage starts to try and pad silently around Swindle.
Pity Mirage can't borrow powers like Elita. It would be handy to just knock the conman out with a touch.

Of course there are no invisible Decepticons! If there were, they would surely have informed all the other Decepticons. That's just common sense. If you don't tell everyone about your special abilities at every opportunity, how will they know to buy your toy?
Swindle stares at the flickering flames, frowning. He was really hoping to hear screaming from an invisible thief covered in napalm at this point.
"I don't suppose you'd care to become visible and make this sporting?" he asks the empty air in a monotone, pivoting on his heel, alert for any sound.

Oh, please. Mirage has been around the block a few times. He isn't going to fall for that prodding. He even keeps his radio silent, despite how tempting it is to verbally spar with the con man.
As Swindle pivots and Mirage paces, Mirage takes careful stock of his adversary. Intel tells him that this Swindle can produce most any weapon or other armament, but that Swindle is himself of average build. Swindle could be making use of some sort of strength or armor enhancement, but there is nothing obvious...
Mirage slips his rifle from subspace and reverses the grip so that the butt is forward. He tries to slip up behind Swindle and bring the rifle butt crashing down at the base of Swindle's head just where it rests on his neck. Mirage puts all of his strength behind the blow. It's a vulnerable point on most people, and if he's lucky, Swindle will cease to be a problem for the time being.

Mirage buttstrokes Swindle inna back of the head. Swindle goes down like a ton of bricks and crashes forward onto the floor. The gatling gun protruding from his chest makes an unhealthy cracking sound, because it just had multiple tons of robot fall on top of it.
One big purple eye still glows faintly, but the con-bot is down for the moment. Mirage should have no trouble collecting the loot unless someone else shows up to stop him.

Well. That worked exactly as planned.
This means something later is going to go horribly wrong, of course.
Mirage collects the money per mission orders, though the spy can't help but feel rather ill while doing so. He, Mirage, child of one of the most noble of houses, gentleman unparalleled has been reduced to nothing more than common thievery. It rankles, oh how it rankles.
He carefully steps around Swindle's fallen form, pauses a moment to asses the still-smoldering room outside the vault, and then moves swiftly and silently out. He has to cross a blanked area as he does so, and for a short distance at least, Mirage leaves faint scuffs, a partial trail of soot. He knows it, but it can't be helped. He'll be back on carpeted flooring soon enough.

In an alley behind the casino, one that is probably rather close to the exit nearest to Mirage,1 a hole starts to form in the black top. Then a spinning drill emerges from the hole, crunching through the ground with ease. Impactor was designed to move through the metal planet of Cybertron; dirt and concrete are relatively easy to get through.
1 "But aren't Scourge and Jazz in the alley?" Yes, they are. However, most buildings in densely populated areas tend to have 2-3 alleys, depending on whether they're a corner building or just have the single 'face'.

Swindle's processor reboots slowly, and he pushes himself to his feet, rubbing the back of his head and looking around the room. Swindle knows the inside of this vault as well as a dragon knows his hoard, and he notices just as quickly that something is missing. That something is a large amount of cash.
The arms dealer nods and heads out of the vault, closing the door behind him. Then he transforms to vehicle mode and deploys his scatter blaster on his roof, firing it ahead of him every so often as he drives down the hall. Hopefully the spread will hit the invisible thief and reveal his, her, or its position.

Mirage has a decent headstart on Swindle, but not decent enough that he can't hear a Humvee heading his way. Mirage is only about halfway to the alley where Impactor waits. Between the spy and his escape route are some twisting hallways and who knows how many "innocent" workers and Decepticons. No customers though- service corridors all the way.
He makes a decision and transforms, zooming (still invisible) through the halls. Yes, this means he can probably be heard, and he probably leaves trace on the floors.
Mirage is a sports car. Certainly he can outrun a Humvee.
//ETA: two minutes.// he radios Impactor.

//Two minutes? Then you called me too damn early,// Impactor snaps as he emerges from beneath the street. He transforms immediately and crouches, looking around to see if he's spotted. A six legged cat-creature hisses and runs off at his appearance, but so far, that's it.

Swindle doesn't yet know for sure that he's facing a sports car, though he's beginning to suspect. The Autobots are the prime suspects for this dastardly crime, and as far as he knows, Mirage is the only Autobot who can cloak. The sound of the spy's engine roaring clinches it. Definitely an Autobot.
Swindle puts on a burst of speed and takes a corner far too fast. Even so, he'll never catch up with Mirage. He may be able to head him off, though. He knows these corridors (and all their shortcuts) like the back of his servo.

//I didn't expect a drill tank to move that fast!// Mirage snaps back as he takes a corner on two wheels.
//Almost there.// he say as he hits the straightaway that leads to the exit. Mirage starts hitting the brakes; he'll have to stop and transform to get out.
Suddenly, a Humvee cuts in from the right and spins to a stop a few feet from the exit, blocking Mirage's escape and laying down a heavy spray of firepower toward the spy.
Time to borrow a page from Swerve. Or try to. Last time he tried this, Mirage wound up in medical.
The spy transforms and sails over Swindle. Mirage hits the crashbar on the door feet first and tumbles through it, into the alley, and right down the rabbit hole.
Mirage took some hits from Swindle, and some are pretty bad. Bad enough that the conman might well have been able to make out a ghost of a profile as it sailed overhead.
Posing of Swindle with permission.

Once Mirage goes down the hole, Impactor snags a nearby dumpster with his harpoon, jumps down the hole, and pulls the dumpster over it. He then moves a short way down the tunnel before turning around, transforming, and drilling a short way into either side, destabilizing the whole thing and causing the end of the tunnel to collapse. He has to back up and drill a bit more to get himself out, but given how much faster Mirage is, the spy should be well out of danger by the time this is done and Impactor is following him down.
//Not fast. Just made sure I didn't have far to go. We'll hit the tunnels Rev has been digging out in a moment.//

Swindle does indeed catch a glimpse of Mirage as he sails majestically overhead, and that glimpse is enough to confirm his identity. He can't transform fast enough to grab they spy, though, and once he's out the door, well, he literally vanishes down a hole, which is quickly covered.
The con-bot knows there's no point in pursuing. He recognizes a well-done job, the Autobots' escape route (or routes) are sure to be excellent. The whole thing was over almost before he knew it began.
"Mirage stole my money," he says quietly, hollowly, to himself. Internally, he's already plotting revenge. This offense will be repaid a thousandfold in Autobot oil, etcetera, hunt his descendants for ten generations, etcetera.
For now though, all he can do is stare.
OOC: Wrap?
