OOC: This thread takes place after the ships have launched. Let us say... Day 3 of travel. Open to all Autobot characters, but only Rodimus and Kup should be in immediate view from the meteor rocks.
In the carefully constructed meteor-rock storage room, designed to snap an electronic cage around the rocks at the first sign of trouble, Rodimus lounges in a seat nearby, feet kicked up and resting on the nearest control panel.
"Of /course/ I know I don't have to take up a watch of these things, Kup," he answers the veteran who's currently standing nearby, leaning against the same control panel. "I'm the one who put myself on this watch with you!"
"Okay, but why? I mean, y'gotta have more important things to be doing."
The young Prime smirks. "You know better than that, Kup. Transit periods tend to be a whole lot of nothing. Sure, there's route plotting and looking for energy sources and all, but that only takes up so much time, you know?"
"Then why ain't you off goofin' off somewhere?" Kup smirks, crossing his arms.
Rodimus chuckles. "What do you think I'm doing here, talking with you?"

Among those still and incredibly boring rocks, there's a muffled thump and clatter as Blurr appears from thin air. He sits right where he landed, slumped over to one side and unconscious, rifle resting in one limp hand; after a few moments, though, his optics flicker and he comes around.
And boy, does his head hurt. Going back didn't pack this kind of whallop, so why the return trip? Maybe he should lay off the time travel for a while. It makes him woozy and he's hearing voices and Haywire– Haywire. What about Haywire? Haywire isn't there where Blurr can hear him. And what if he's hurt or worse? He's… safe, Blurr realises with a relieved sigh when he feels the grip of his rifle in his hand. Out like a light but safe. Of course, now Blurr's worried about what that trip did to the Nebulan when his own head's still pounding.
"Ohh, my head," he groans as he sits up, "my aching head…." He doesn't make much of the metal floor beneath his free hand when he pushes off to get back on his feet. Floors are supposed to be metal.

The conversation between Kup and Rodimus screeches to a halt at the thump and clatter that herald Blurr's arrival. Both look over, but Kup's the first one to speak.
"Oh, hey, someone I can actually recognize for once - color's a bit off..." he trails off before he can say anything else when he sees Rodimus's response.
Rodimus is staring at Blurr, jaw dropped, mouth opened, optics wide in shock. In fact, if Kup didn't know better, he's swear that Rodimus is seeing a ghost. He straightens up and reaches for the young Prime. "Lad... you okay?"
OOC: Yeah, expect me to be posting Kup /and/ Rodimus in the same post a lot this thread.

Once he actually has his feet under him and before he can really get his balance back, Blurr looks around. Hot Rod and Kup aren't nearby, so where are they? The group didn't get separated on the way back, did it? That won't be any good.
"Rocks?" he mumbles, giving his surroundings an unhappy, confused stare. "There shouldn't be any rocks here, weren't any rocks when we left, at least not where we left from anyway, so why rocks? What–" He blinks as his gaze finds the two Autobots watching him and in a split second his frown becomes a face-splitting, relieved grin. "Kup! It is you, right, Kup? Your paint's wrong, though, all wrong. It's off. Is that what the trip did to you? If that's all it did, guess you got off lucky, huh? And…."
And Blurr pauses. For a whole three seconds, in fact, while he eyes the large fellow beside Kup. He scratches his head. It can't just be the wooziness, right?
"Say," and his grin is a little more tentative. Even puzzled, "you look like Hot Rod. You look a lot like Hot Rod, actually, but you're bigger and I really mean bigger. You know, you're Prime big!"

It takes being addressed by Blurr to pull Rodimus out of his state of shock. His mind throws a lot of things together. Kup says the color is wrong... but those are the colors Rodimus remembers! Meanwhile, Blurr says that Kup's colors are wrong - Rodimus has gotten used to them, but those aren't the colors worn by the Kup back home.
And what trip is he talking about?
Can it be?
Rodimus moves around the counter so that it no longer stands between him and Blurr. His right hand reaches towards the speedster, trembling almost imperceptibly, as though Rodimus fears the other robot might suddenly vanish. Then, softly, he says, "Blurr...? This is very, very important. But... what's the last thing you remember?" The voice, like the body, should be recognizable. Like Hot Rod's, but older. More mature.
As for Kup, he starts to open his mouth when Blurr points out that his paint is wrong, but his attention is fixed on Rodimus, and so he keeps quiet (besides, he doesn't really have a chance to respond before Blurr's zipped off to another topic, anyway... which is about par for the course when talking to a Blurr). Instead, he frowns, optics narrowed. That reaction bothers him...

That is a famililar voice, as a matter of fact, and Blurr's confusion on that matter is dispelled. He isn't sure yet why coming back from 1986 has changed Hot Rod this much, but there's no mistaking his friend; he ought to kick himself for missing it at first, really. Bemusement coalesces again on the matter of his getting here, though, and he rubs his chin thoughtfully while he ponders the question.
"Last thing?" One brow rises higher than the other. "Well, the last thing was tossing Starscream in cold storage because we couldn't just leave him lying around, not like that, nothing good at all could come of that. Then we were headed back to 2006 since we stopped Galvatron. He fell for it, too, hook line and sinker, and he fell for it hard! It's a good thing he bought it because I don't think Ultra Magnus could've taken much more, not at the rate Galvatron was going, but we did a great job on the setup if you ask me, a fantastic job." Smug? A little, but rightfully so in Blurr's book after all the trouble they went to just so they could dupe the Decepticon. Now he plants his free hand on his hip. "Then we were headed home and… well… now we're here, I guess, wherever here is. Where is here? Doesn't look like the same place we left and you two don't look the same either and boy have I got a headache!"
With all that finally explained – as fast as he rattled it off, Blurr still feels like he took too long to do it – and with Rodimus still standing there, arm half-extended, Blurr decides to stroll closer and take Rodimus's hand in his, clasping it tightly. This speedster is no illusion.
"So! It's great to see you two made it back safely even if you're, well, you're different – really different – but safe is what matters. Do I get an explanation now or do I have to stay in the dark?" he wonders. He hates the dark.

Then at least someone should meet Blurr!
A loud clank and the fast chattering draws the attention of a bot on a walkway overviewing the meteors from above. "And here I stood thinking this shift would end quietly..." Skid-Z mutters below his breath, jumping up from where he had been leaning against support beams, his internal radio switching off from it's already nigh hearable volume. Two large steps and he's at the railing, looking down.
While he keeps ready to pull up that cage from his position, shards of the conversation reach him. A familiar? Well, at least that's a relief. Not from his dimension though. That's a shame. But still, look! New guy!
"He's a friend, Sir?" Not knowing whose friend, he omits calling out names. Then the question can be directed at either Rodimus Prime, or Kup. Gotta love the feat of relative addressing.
Well, so far for 10 minutes left on the counter of his guard duty.
------- ooc: but he's definitely skippable if need be up here.

Rodimus's eyes light up with recognition as Blurr describes the end portion of their first trip to the past. He was pulled from the timestream... he never made it back! the young Prime thinks as Blurr offers his explanation. That's why he still remembers! Even as realization dawns in his mind, however, Rodimus has trouble getting his body to respond - until Blurr clasps his hand.
That shakes him out of his paralysis and reinforces that yes, this is real. Rodimus grins wide and exclaims, joyfull, "Blurr!" before using the hand the other had grasped to pull him closer before scooping him up off his feet in a great, big bear hug. Or perhaps a Prime hug?
Kup, however, watches all this with a sinking feeling. Rodimus's reaction says only one thing to Kup. The veteran's expression softens, and saddens. "Oh. Oh, no..." he murmurs, shaking his head, until a question posed from overhead draws his attention. Since Rodimus is obviously preoccupied, Kup answers for them all, looking up at Skid-Z and nodding. "A friend? Yeah. Yeah, you might say that."
OOC: Scooping and bear hugging done with permission of Blurr's player.

Blurr yelps quietly as he finds himself gathered up into the single tightest hug he's ever been given. Right off his feet even!
"You know, if I didn't know better," he declares with a chuckle as he reaches awkwardly to give Rodimus a companionable clap on the back, "and I probably know better, I'd think you missed me when it can't be that long, right, maybe a breem? Two breems tops. I wasn't out that long!" He blinks and his grin takes on an embarrassed slant as he looks around – first to Kup, who's busy talking to… someone on the overhead walkway that wasn't there when the team left. Someone who wasn't there when the team left, either. Blurr has that sneaking feeling something didn't go as planned and he asks, "…Was I?"

Nodding, Skid-Z's view shift to the meteor rocks, to turn back to the three. He fades from view for a moment, but one could hear the distinct clanging of metal feet on straight stairs.
Back on ground floor, the Autobot walks around the site up to commanders and new arrival.

Rodimus puts Blurr back down and gives a faint, relieved, and almost embarrassed chuckle.
"It's, uhm... it's a long story, Blurr. A long... strange story. But, uhm... we're not... well. I'm not from the same time that you are." This is a bit different from living in the same time as Blurr, since Blurr obviously lives at a different speed, anyway. "I'm from the future. Not, erm, the future we were all just sent back to. A bit further along than that. Transformers keep getting pulled into this universe from different realities, and different times in those realities." This would probably sound a lot crazier if Blurr hasn't just wrapped up one time travel escapade. As it is, Marvel tends to be just weird enough to make good background training for the local weirdness.
Rodimus gestures towards Kup. "See, Kup here is from a reality a lot like ours in some ways, but... a bit different, too. One of the differences is that they sometimes have different colors."
As he's gestured to, Kup inclines his head. "Nice to meetcha, lad," he grins, the smile holding a faint humor. He's got a funny feeling, after all, that dealing with this Blurr will feel so much like dealing with his own that the difference will be a no-difference sort of thing.
Then Rodimus gestures to Skid-Z, "Skid-Z's reality is a bit further off. Some of the same names, but some different ones. It's a lot to go into right now." Then he points to himself. "And... you were right about me being Prime-big, Blurr. That's it exactly." He lowers his hand.
"I'm not Hot Rod anymore. I'm Rodimus Prime."
Internally, Rodimus prepares himself for the laughter. That's the usual first reaction among people who know him.

Blurr takes in the explanation of all the time buggery going on with great aplomb. After all, he just got back from a trip twenty years into the past to convince an evil Decepticon he was in a completely different timeline so he wouldn't rewrite history. He's disconcerted somewhat that he ended up here – they need him back home, after all! – but there must be a reason for it.
"The short version is fine by me," he declares, "but I wouldn't mind hearing the details later. And, er, nice to meet you, too!" he pipes back at Kup. "Though I guess it isn't really like meeting you, I suppose, if things aren't that different… or is it like meeting you? Maybe you haven't even met me yet! How different are things?" As quickly as he asked, Blurr waves off the idea. "No, wait, some other time. Tell me some other time, would you Kup?" and now he turns to Skid-Z, giving the other Autobot an easy, friendly grin. "The name's Blurr," he says by way of introduction, tapping himself on the chest with his thumb. "I'm the fastest Autobot around on land or sea or air or anywhere for that matter!" He'll manage to run on water someday.
But that train of thought veers right off the tracks at the next revelation Hot Rod – Rodimus Prime hands down.
"…Prime?" echoes Blurr. The look on his face can only be called dumb with disbelief. "You're Prime now? And it isn't a joke, nobody's kidding me, no hidden cameras anywhere?" he goes on, looking around, even darting between rocks and behind the counter to check before coming to a stop again in front of Rodimus and looking his friend up and down. Then he snorts back a chuckle. "Okay then, Rodimus Prime!" This is going to be weird.

Déjà vu. This whole experience seems familiar - stranded in a series of rocks with nobody in sight. Prowl drops down from the top of a rock, landing very carefully on one ped, and stares in puzzlement at a large metal wall that looms before him. It appears somebody enjoys collecting rocks, and he appeared at the back of a large pile, just up against a wall to keep the rocks in place. He lays one hand on the wall before cocking his head to the side, his armor shifting just a bit. Voices.
How bizarre. This experience is starting to be less familiar by the second.
He turns and jumps his way up a craggy sort of rock, hands reaching down for his shuriken if necessary as he reaches the top. Once he's there he peers down upon seeing a group of Transformers of very odd design standing down at the bottom of the large pile of rocks and... Talking? The shuriken's blades snap out as he keeps it at his side and takes a leap of faith - quite literally - as he jumps down to the ground, landing in a crouch on a rock just next to the group.
"Greetings," he says confidentially after his optics glance about and notice the Autobot symbol on them.

The fastest Autobot? Skid-Z smiles, though he squints slightly. He favours 'seeing' over 'hearing'.
Before he can reply, though, Blurr is off to check for those hidden cameras. "eh.....huh?" A slight tilt of the head accompanies his apparant confusion.
"Greetings" Unknown voice! The racer looks to his right, and sees a black and gold bot perched on a rock. And an Autobot symbol. And... shuriken blades! Weaponry!
"Hello!" Skid-Z smiles and steps a bit towards Prowl, his thread light and relaxed, "You're an Autobot? May I ask for your name? Mine is Skid-Z..." He stops, halfway between Prowl and the other bots behind him: "If you stand down your weapons, then we can tell you where you are and what's going on"

Kup opens his mouth to try to answer Blurr, but by the time he gets that far, Blurr's moved on. He shakes his head, grinning with amusement, and says, "Sure, Blurr, I'll tell you some other time." Not that Blurr is likely listening by this point. Kup's just talking much too slow!
Rodimus, who's not particularly surprised by Blurr darting about the room at high speeds to check on things, stifles a sigh as the other holds back his chuckle. Well, at least he tried. "Uhm, yeah, I'll explain late-" and then there's another new visitor to concern himself with.
He turns towards Prowl, spotting the weapon in his hand. Down at his side, but still in-hand. Rodimus's own hand balls into a fist, then relaxes as he prepares to use his pipe-blasts, if necessary. He makes a quick radio report explaining things.
"Right. Welcome to the..." what did they name this ship, anyway? "...our ship," Rodimus finishes lamely. "Long story short, again, we've got something pulling Transformers from different realities into this one, and they often appear around those rocks," he gestures to the broken chunks of Cybertron. "So if you don't mind explaining who you are, and whether you've heard of... uhm... sparks, laser cores, or brain modules? The Matrix or the Allspark? Quintessons or Primus? And, uhm, do you know a guy named Emirate Xaaron?" That's where they usually start for sorting these out, right?
All of this, and Rodimus hasn't introduced himself. How rude!
