Some time passes before she finally straightens up and then claps her hands together. "I think I finally have everything to a tolerable level," she says, and then hmms, and claps her hands a few more times to adjust that sound. "I can't believe I did something like THAT all by myself!!"
She slides off the table and then tilts her head back and forth, getting used to its feelings again, before then turning and then is about to ask for a hug, but instead, offers her hand for a handshake. "Th-Thank you, Perceptor, sir," she says, "And, and, since we're done, do you think I can stay and watch YOU work?"

"There is no need to call me 'sir', Firebolt," Perceptor replies with a little wave. "And you are more than welcome to stay, if you wish, but I am not working on anything in particular at the moment. I hope that you will not be bored."
He's never had anyone want to simply... watch him work before. He's not sure what to think about it.
"As for your filters, I had no doubt that you would manage. Just remember that your filters should evolve as your consciousness adjusts to the ambient sound levels. It is a process meant to grow and expand with you."

"Oh, I was tryin' ta be more mature and stuff," she says, sitting back down on the table. She leans forward and then nods. "I just want to quietly watch and learn. Like I said, I don't want to be that 'dumb Ferrari girl' anymore."
ooc: Seems like a good point for a fadeout to end of thread?

"Admirable, if perhaps unecessary," Perceptor muses. "Life has its own pace to temper the maturation process; do not be in a hurry to rush that and forego the opportunity to experience wonder."
Nonetheless, he makes no move to shoo her out, and, in fact, tenders quiet explanations to what he is doing as he returns to work.
ooc: good for fade out.
