Spinister has walked into angry groups of Decepticons about to kill each other before. Recently, even! He seems to recall this one funny time when Bludgeon, Octopunch, and Stranglehold wanted to kill Needlenose. A silly matter, that. If Needlenose needed killing, Spinister would do it himself, with a lot less fuss.
Blitzwing gives a story that makes it out as if he was an innocent little cassette, just trying to talk to Hellbender, minding his own business.
Spinister resists giving Blitzwing an affirmative right now. He needs to get to the bottom of the story before the lynch mob murders Lugnut.
Something about the tilt of Spinister's head and the pose of the blades on his back makes it look as if he is ever so slightly pleased by Shortround. He inclines his head and allows, "Get him out of here. Don't talk to him when he awakens or allow anyone in here to talk to him until either Needlenose or I can get his story." A pause. "See if you can get Needlenose in medical. Simpler that way."
Spinister is not sure he likes Hellbender's attitude, there. In-fighting is a right of all Decepticons, and he doesn't make any obvious motion to stop Hellbender from attacking Lugnut, who, to all accounts, does not understand a proportionate response. Spinister's pretty sure that he could just punch Counterpunch one to make a point, and Spinister's punches are less than nothing special. There was no need to damage property. Therefore, Lugnut was being stupid. Therefore, Hellbender has due cause to injure Lugnut.
Blackout has a weapon ready and also seems primed to move in on Lugnut.
Lugnut also says his piece and readies a weapon. Oh, so Lugnut knew the little troops were there, and he blew up the place anyway? That's rich.
Their stories are matching up pretty well, and they haven't had time to rehearse. So discussion turned to debate turned to argument turned to Counterpunch being an idiot turned to Lugnut being an even bigger idiot.
In a moment of what is either bravery or stupidly, Spinister steps into the fray, putting himself between Lugnut and Blackout. In another life, he's put himself before a Matrix-possessed Thunderwing and try to reason with him. This isn't as dumb as that, but it’s close. He holds up his empty hands, weapons 'holstered' for now. Spinister snaps, "Fine. We got some overly touchy folks here. Learn something every day. If you want to continue fighting, do it in the solid light hologram room," oddly particular about the exact nature of the technology, ain't he? "You won't wreck up the surroundings, and the medics won't have to ream you out for wasting resources."
He looks up at Lugnut. "But you? You're monkey boy for said medics now. They tell you jump? You jump. No buts."
Considering Hook's personality and some of the other medics, letting Blitzwing, Hellbender, and Blackout brutally murder Lugnut would be kinder. Spinister doesn't put a time limit on the punishment yet. He's waiting to see how badly these people murder him over not letting them murder Lugnut.

Blitzwing watches Hellebender take a swing at Lugnut, and lugnut ready what appears to be an attack of his own. He also hears Spinister ask, more ore less, that they not attack Lugnut.
Blitzwing spins his sword in his hand a few times, trying to make up his mind if he wants to scrap Lugnut for what he did, slice Spinister for saying no or back off for now and wait until later. On the fourth spin he deactivates his scimitar and stores it, taking a few steps back to indicate he's sitting this out. He's more or less sure that if he layed into Lugnut, Blackout would follow suit. He's also got a reasonably good chance of taking Spinister in a fight at this distance.
He's also sure that Spinister is a lot more dangerous than he looks, and he'd rather not get on the Mayhems bad side. If spinister does though ever give anything even mildly resembling something that might be construed as a go ahead, Lugnut will pay.

Shortround takes a step back as Hellbender goes after Lugnut again and it seems like it will get started into another conflict, at least until Spinister steps in.
Feeling that everyone's attention will be as far from the hovercraft as possible, Shortround swiftly runs over to gather up the unconscious Counterpunch and transforms, leaving the car to just lay across his alt mode as he zooms toward the exit.
Presuming he isn't stopped, attacked, or otherwise caught in something, Shortround will speed off to catch up with Scorponok and offer the scorpion a ride down to the medbay, which isn't too bad as far as he is concerned regarding jobs.

Hellbender snaps forward suddenly and grabs the spinning fist with both hands. He squeezes hard, trying to shut down whatever mechanism Lugnut is spinning up--
Oh hey, Spinister finally did "suggest' that they all stand down--or take it to the sim chamber. Hellbender holds his pose, switching to trying to restrain Lugnut rather than cripple his weaponry.
"Yeah, I'm a worm. You really want to make something of it, boy, let's take it to the sim room--like that there Mayhem said. After this here mess gets sorted out. But coward? Who's in your face ready to take the punches, boy? Who's NOT using his heavy laser, on account of Ah'm smart enough to know that you don't go freak-out and try to kill your own people and use explosive overkill inside a tin can in deep space? And which one of us panicked over a lil' ole punch from Counterpunch--Ah say panicked--and cut loose with the heavy weaponry? Seriously!" Hellbender says very softly to Lugnut.
Hellbender really, really doesn't like being called a coward, but Lugnut's reflexive shout was so ridiculous that not even Hellbender could take it seriously. Still, the boy needed to learn to be more careful with both his weapons and his words.
"Now, stand down like the nice Mayhem told us, Lugnut." Without turning his head, Hellbender adds, "You, too, Blackout--so long as Lugnut can prove his audials are workin' well enough to listen. He ain't managed it yet, but Ah'm hopin'."

Blackout is raising his spinning blade to strike when Spinister steps in the way. His optics narrow dangerously, seriously considering throwing the smaller helicopter out of the way, until the Mayhem mentions Lugnut being the medical staff's property for a while. From what he's seen of Hook, that's at least as much of a punishment as a three-Con beatdown.
Blackout lowers his blade, letting it spin down to a stop, and takes a step back. He has not stowed the blade yet, though, waiting to see how Lugnut reacts. The zealot is falling into the same "useful but generally a liability" class as Bonecrusher, and one never stands down around Bonecrusher if one values their spark.

Hey, that's not fair Spinister! He said that Blackout knew, not him! Oh right, giant worm trying to kill him. Lugnut growls in anger at Hellbender's insults, trashing against his hold, trying to get free as the spinning fist slowly grinds to a stop...
...And then Spinister basically tells them all to shut up for now. Even Lugnut knows better then to resist the Mayhem's 'request', especially when he's in a room full of Cons that want him offline, one of which currently has him in a rather unpleasant hold. "Understood...I shall comply." If only Lugnut fully realized what Hook is like.
Naturally, Hellbender just had to poke the zealot. "How dare you! I-" He growls in rage and is about to try and get out of the mining worm's grip, when he hears what Hellbender is saying oh so softly into his audio's. Make no mistake, Lugnut is still seething in silent anger at the insults thrown his way, but he also hears what else Hellbender is saying.
It is enough to make Lugnut calm down as best as he can, actually standing down at Hellbender's request. "My action was rash and disproportionate. I shall accept my punishment."

Spinister isn't dead? Spinister isn’t dead!
The thing about fighting Spinister isn't that he's any great shakes (though his flamethrower is still a potent weapon in close quarters). The thing about fighting Spinister is that you're never just fighting Spinister. There's also Needlenose.
Spinister should radio him.
Hellbender does have a point that Lugnut must have panicked or something – seriously, Counterpunch is the exact opposite of scary to most Decepticons.
Spinister stays right in the middle of things, feet spread and planted, as if he isn't going to be budged, and he keeps his hands and arms up. Staring coldly at Lugnut, Spinister clarifies, a disapproving sneer in his voice, "Got a big empennage, huh? Bet you could haul a lot of smelted empties from Yuss. Medical owns you until Hook or his authorised deputy decides otherwise. "
Looking around at the others, Spinister barks, "Weapons down and away, the lot of you! Just 'cos this place looks like a warzone now don't make it one."

Spinister isn't dead yet. He could still be if he says something to spark off everyones barely restrained rage, such as recommending all four of them go into group counseling and perhaps take up knitting.
"At any rate, that weird rifleformer is going to be happy for the company." Blitzwing says as he steps back further and leans against a wall until further notice. He reaches up and takes off his visor/totally awesome sunglasses to reveal a set of red optics. He's going to have to see Hook about them, as they've been warped a bit by the blast.

"Tha's real good, Lugnut. Work on listenin' first, gettin' mad second, and you'll do," Hellbender says, carefully releasing his hold on Lugnut's fist and stepping back. His cutters spin down to a halt with a soft whine and and a clunk as they finally stop. "If you're still mad at me later, we can go a few rounds in the sim room. All-out. But only there, for the good of the Decepticons."
"Blackout, he's listening. You can relax now." Hellbender says, risking a glance at the big helicopter-former.
"Acknowledged, Spinister," Hellbender says, turning fully to face the pink Mayhem, turning his arms to show the cutters at halted and locked position. His laser never was energized.
Finally, he offers Blitzwing a nod and a quick thumbs-up.

Spinister also speaks for the commanders, who control the fuel supply. That can't be ignored.
Blackout generally doesn't relax. He's spent too much time around Frenzy to ever relax entirely. He does, however, stow his blade and retract his guns. Outwardly, he's standing down. Inwardly, he's debating if he could hack into the room assignments system and move Lugnut in with Bonecrusher for a while. Then again, there might not be a ship left afterward. Still, amusing the think about.

Damnit, Lugnut didn't panic, he was just a bit too...Enthusiastic with putting him down again!
Finally, freedom. Lugnut steps away from Hellbender, saluting Spinister before looking at his damaged arm. Ah, good, it's still functional...That will come in handy should they try to attack him again. He looks at the others in the room with all five optics, cautious as he slowly drops his arm, getting ready to jump into action should they try something. "Hrmpf. There will be no need for that, worm."

"-Do you have raw meat in place of processors?!"
Why, look, Engineering has arrived in the form of Hook. He's stares at the damage, taking it all in and working out what the minimum needs to be produced from their limited raw material supplies in order to fix this.
He jabs a finger at Lugnut. "You! What weapon did you use to cause this?"
It should be noted that Hook is, by most Decepticon standards, short. He's shorter than Counterpunch, in fact.

Looks like the group is calming down somewhat and getting the idea that the massive explosives go in the solid light hologram room. Good.
On the other hand, Lugnut's being a bit insulting to Hellbender. Yes, Hellbender is a worm, but... rock-eating worm of doom. It's like calling Carnivac a lil' doggy.
When Hook arrives, Spinister sweeps out what would be an elegant bow on someone with not so gaunt and spare a frame, someone with less mechanical efficiency. He greets, "Lord Hook."

Blitzwing returns the thumbs up to Hellbender, though not the nod as he's trying to adjust his visor to sit properly over his eyes again. When Hook arrives, Blitzwing nods towards the chief medic but doesn't actually give a formal greeting. He'll save that till he needs his leg welded back on or something.

"Name's Hellbender, Lugnut, not 'worm'," Hellbender growls.
You can tell the latecomers to the party--they don't have scorched and battered armor. Hellbender was not one of the latecomers, and the worm-shaped hole in the wall and dent in the further bulkhead may give some clue to the sheer raw force of Lugnut's blast-punch.
"Ah don't know what he calls it, but it goes off when Buffalo-wings there slams that there red button into the floor," Hellbender points out, pointing at Lugnut's Big Red Button. Why yes, he's identifying Lugnut with a slangy reference to his alt mode. Perhaps he's making a subtle point...
