Waspinator took a moment to assess the situation, it looked like Mindwipe might be in some trouble, maybe he should care, he didn’t though he kept an optic on Jetfire. Blackarachnia also looked to be having difficulty, yes he could help her but he got the distinct impression that if he did there would be exactly zero gratitude. And then there was the matrix bearer, the likely target of Scourge’s attention, he saw his opportunity.
His claws dug into the hull of the EH finding solid purchase as he started blasting his stingers targeting Rodimus’ magnet cable anchor. Let the Prime drift into space and Scourge can nuke him with missiles.

Scourge does not notice Counterpunch's accidentally-on-purpose mistake. He's busy with his own work and then with wrangling conveying information over the radio. Scourge makes for the nearest full-size hatch, intending to hold the pass himself, but the Autobots are too fast for him, and so it is in vacuum that he faces the enemy.
He replies, //You didn't notice me. You noticed the bumbling of another, but no matter. Plasma gun!// Scourge grabs down on the thruster he's crouching on with one hand and whips out his plasma gun with the other, firing off some shots right at that gaudy torso of Rodimus Prime's.
The tether, he thinks, is a waste of time. Let a Prime out of optic range, and he'll be back like a ton of bricks.
OOC: Consider Scourge spun off to go have shooty times with Rodimus Prime.

Did Blackarachnia spot him? Damn it, he'll have to be extra careful for awhile. He doesn't really want to continue to set charges, but luckily, the arrival of the Autobots provides a valid distraction, particularly for a known hot head like him.
He would shout an angry insult, but his vocalizer was torn out. Also, space. So instead he just summons his weapon from subspace and fires at Jetfire.
Meanwhile, Fleetwind continues to set charges. Mission to complete here! That, and not firing at the Autobots means not being fired at in return!

A twist is enough to keep him from being centered for Scourge's shot, but the blast still rips across his left side, leaving a deep gouge along his midsection, front to back. The movement, and the associated twist of the cable, are enough to keep that difficult target from being blasted full-on by Waspinator's stingers, though the shot still grazes his anchor cable, parting a few of the individual threads, fraying the lines.
None of this is enough to stop Rodimus's forward charge, and he slams into Scourge, tackling him to the hull. He allows the other end of the cable sail past them both until it hits the hull, where it latches on in a second spot.
OOC: Tackling with permission. Out of thread and into 'To Hull With It All.'

Jetfire does not care that he is in space. He was born for space, and old habits snap into place as he grins a toothy, wicked grin at Mindwipe. His voice may not carry in the vacuum, but the extreme short wave radio transmission on a general band should more than do so through the few feet that separate him and his opponent, and Jetfire is used to echoing his words there in space.
//Awww... did someone's toy break? // he chuckles, stooping into a ready crouch. His very Decepticon optics flare briefly as he brings his cane up, vicious looking blades popping out from the end.
Once upon a time, Jetfire was a tool of the Primes, sent to find entire stars to destroy for the betterment of Cybertron. He grew tired of the senseless violence and hate, yes, but this violence... is not precisely senseless, is it? And the old jet has something to prove. His fuel is running hot, systems built for deep space all but singing in the vacuum; he'll show these pitiful upstarts what it means to be a Seeker! A real Seeker!
He is in motion but a moment after Mindwipe draws his dagger, surprisingly quick for a decrepit old wreck as he launches himself at the smaller jet, axe leading the way. It is that surprising quickness that spares him the worst of Counterpunch's shot, by simple expedient of not being where Counterpunch had aimed.
It only spares him a direct hit, though, as the blast still slams into his shoulder with a brilliant flare, sending tiny fingers of lightning crawling down his arm and frame from the impact site. His rough shout briefly spirals up into a thin howl of pain before he stifles the sound, and he tries to adjust his axe to aim for taking Mindwipe's head off entirely.

Mindwipe is quite agile - normally, he'd be prancing away from the swing of the axe, but he's not very used to moving around in space if it doesn't involve jetting around as a protoform comet.
So his head is safe, but his wing is cleaved clear off. Sparks shoot out of the wound, and the wing spins away from the ship. His optics burn red, and his second dagger deploys.
//Foolish relic! I do not need to mesmerize you to defeat you! I hope your will is made out, for I will send you to the pit itself!// He moves a bit from side to side, and if he finds an opening to try and stab the cane-swinging arm, he will take it!

Skyfire wheels around the central hull of the Event Horizon, his wings spread wide to allow maximum convergence for his proton cannon. From the terse warnings over the broadband, he expected to find a spacefighter assault force, perhaps led by the likes of Starscream or Thundercracker. Instead, there's a series of zero-G hand-to-hand brawls going on.
There, Scourge and Rodimus fight along the surface of the hull; up there, Blackarachnia and Whirligig maneuver; over there, Mindwipe and the elder Jetfire melee. On one of the engine bells, Jazz and Counterpunch mix it up. They're all too close to each other or the engines for Skyfire to get a clean shot.
...Fleetwind is busy fiddling with the engines, and Waspinator was pointing a pistol in Rodimus's general direction. Skyfire gives himself a bit of english with his maneuvering jets and flips, transforming as does so, his proton cannon appearing in his hand as a double-barreled proton rifle. He arcs around the engine bells and comes up from "below", with Fleetwind skylined on his "horizon".
"I can't let you to do that, Fleetwind," Skyfire says as he fires at the yellow Seeker.

Well it looks like everyone is having there own little couplings leaving Waspinator without a dance partner. He didn’t mind, having no one trying to blast holes in his carapace was a good thing, and good things were to be enjoyed as long as possible.
He climbed his way over the Hull of the EH all the way to the hatch Rodimus had opened earlier and mage his way inside, into the thankful embrace of artificial gravity and out of this thread.
OOC: Out of thread and into the unknown… maybe to find a prime or two.

"Well, actually, you can," Fleetwind answers as he attempts to scramble out of the way of the blast while still holding onto the hull. This is awkward, and the normally graceful Seeker is less capable of dodging as a result - the blasts cut into his right wings, causing the yellow fellow to hiss in pain.
"I mean, all you have to do is not shoot at me. It's easier than not letting me do it, when you think about it," he adds as he lifts his arm and returns fire at the space shuttle.

Counterpunch's aim is spoiled by a punch in the arm! He turns towards Jazz, careful not to dislodge himself from his perch on the Event Horizon, and glowers.
"What's the matter?" he hisses softly, the same wary tone that always punctuates his speech making itself apparent. "Feeling overlooked? Unimportant? Don't worry, you are," he answers, turning his gun on Jazz and firing once more.

Pain fades as quickly as it had slammed through his neural nets, and Jetfire watches that wing shear off and drift away with almost malicious satisfaction.
// Oh, really. Is tha' the pitiful excuse for threats tha' the Fallen teaches his little minions these days? // Jetfire snorts as he shifts from foot to foot like a swaying cobra. // Why, back in my day, the Fallen would rip out your spark, himself, if you vomited out something as pathetic as tha'. Oh how standards have slipped, little one. //
It is a very, very unAutobot smirk that graces his features as he launches himself right at Mindwipe's torso, launching them both into Blackguards and Rogues.
ooc: out of thread with Mindwipe.

Skyfire accellerates and rotates, dodging some, but not all of Fleetwind's fire; his wings are scored and scorched, and his legs peppered with holes. He grimaces at the sudden flash of pain.
"There's physical ease and mental ease, as well as short-term vs. long-term, Fleetwind. In the short-term, it would be physically easier to do nothing, but in the long-term, not having a functional home base would be far more physically stressful than stopping you here and now."
Skyfire pitches forward and rotates, flipping himself end for end as he continued his tight orbit around the engine nozzles, such that he once again lines up Fleetwind on his "horizon" as he "descends" below the engine bell. It's obvious to anyone brighter than a clam (i.e., not Duskwing or Brawl) that Skyfire is being careful not to damage the engines with his own fire.
"I would also find it quite difficult mentally to run counter to my moral and ethical obligations to my friends, Fleetwind. In conclusion, I really can't let you sabotage our ship."
He fired both barrels again before slipping below the "horizon".
--- Looks like Fleetwind and Skyfire are the only two left in this thread. Stay here, since it's just us, or make our own?

Fleetwind is at a horrible disadvantage out here. His anti-gravs don't work in space. As a jet, he cannot fly in space. Of his weapon choices, one is melee (unusable, because he has no means to get to his enemy), one are rockets only usable in alternate mode (a mode that's even more awkward for his current location than his robot mode). And so, as Skyfire flies over him and maneuvers, he does the only thing he can do: he continues to fire his blaster.
This works right up until the point when Skyfire fires his blaster. The shots rip into his shoulder, knocking him loose from his perch and sending him scrambling to grasp hold of one of the external ladderways before he goes flying off into space. He just grabs one and clings to it, frowning as the charge he was trying to attach begins to drift off into space.

Fleetwind manages to hug onto that handhold at such an angle that Skyfire can't fire on him without endangering the Event Horizon. He's not the sharpshooter Starscream was. The demolition charge is drifting off into space--good. Fleetwind could well have more. If Fleetwind resumes firing, sooner or later, Fleetwind will get lucky, and everyone else is presently occupied.
Skyfire flips again and twists, reversing his maneuvering jets to bring him rocketing down towards Fleetwind, feet first. He intends to smash the yellow Seeker loose from that handhold if he can--he holds his cannon pointed high, ready to attempt a disabling shot once Fleetwind is clear of the ship.
<insert dramatic comics panel with Skyfire in superhero-style flying kick attack, big feet in the foreground, complete with motion swoosh marks>
