"Excellent, Hook." Starscream says, satisfied. "If we have a reasonable supply of repair materials we can afford to take some risks. Now all we need is an adequate source of power. I'm considering placing restrictions on energy weapons, should we run into any altercations. We don't know how much energy is available from this station." He raised his hand as a fist as he called to the rest of the gathered units. "Decepticons! Prepare to transform. We depart for new energon soon." He broadcasted similar orders on broadband as well. Starscream turned his head sharply at Fleetwind as he names him to his new friend. Hmm, he didn't know this one either. He headed towards Cannonball. "I don't know you so I am going to make this brief and to the point. I am Starscream, and I lead these Decepticons. I'm not whoever claims to be Starscream wherever you might be from. If you can serve alongside me, there is a stake of energon in it for you, along with the services of those of us that can repair. What say you, Decepticon?" Starscream left what the alternative was up to the imagination of the newcomer. OOC: I thought it might bee fun for a possible combat encounter where we had to be a bit more creative than shooting at people! Rather than energy weapons we can use clubs or throw rocks or whatever. Sound keen?

"I would suggest that the jets go on ahead of the ground-based vehicles. I do not particularly need to deal with the stresses that result from jets having to escort a ground-based convoy." Said stresses would likely result in Hook snapping and end up with him dancing in Starscream's armor-shell.
OOC: Sure, go ahead. Let me know when you want the SceneMod to introduce a possible combat encounter.

"Nay, I didnae find anything useful, lessen ye wish tae make a grass-top hut or somethin'..." he answers.
Cannonball then peered about the group with scrutiny, finding the seekers to be a strange sight. "Oi, the lot of you be brothers or somesuch?" he asks, motioning to them, and then the one deemed 'Starscream' by Fleetwind opened his mouth. The pirate wished he hadn't, as that was a most grating tone. The offer of energon for loyalty was intiguing. "I be interested. Wot amounts of energon be ye talkin' of, flybot?" he asks, stroking his chin. "An' if'n there be anything of value worth plundering, if I finds it, I keeps it" he adds, smirking up at the slightly taller mech.

Skystrike’s optics narrowed slightly as she watched the stranger but otherwise made no threatening moves. She was tempted to fold her arms but she didn’t. That would hinder her guns too much.
"Oi, the lot of you be brothers or somesuch?"
“No, we’re not brothers.” Skystrike answered, shifting her weight slowly from foot to foot, restless and uneasy. Seekers were factory built shock troops, the only time they had anything close to brotherhood was when they were put together in trines or larger groups. Even then, feelings of camaraderie were slow to develop.
She arched a brow slightly at Cannonball when he asked what they were willing to pay him but left that for their dear good ‘leader’ to answer. The blue jet frowned silently instead; this newcomer was the kind of people she’d protected the DFD from.

Starfighter had very little to do there besides add in the new data for Cannonball--with a note in his personal files on 'Skystrike doesn't like him either' and 'odd, crude accent'. He'd been making little notes in what, if this were a paper notebook, would be the margins of his database files. They were viewable only to him, of course, but they helped to keep interpersonal relations and mannerisms straight without putting his personal opinion directly into the database itself.
Shockwave wasn't fond of subjective interpretations, of any sort. But it was still useful to keep a log of who not to piss off.

Fleetwind didn't know Dead End well enough to recognize the onset of a funk, and he had other things to distract him at that moment, anyway. He visibly winced at Starscream's comment of a potential energy-weapons prohibition, but only nodded; he's had to work with such restrictions before, but they were never pleasant.
"Brothers? No. We just share a common mold," Fleetwind answered Cannonball, then turned his attention back to Hook and Starscream.
"Hook's suggestion is a good one, sir." Fleetwind always did his best to stay in the good graces of the people who would likely to be repairing him down the road. "It lets each of us move in our most fuel efficient manner. We can scout out likely temporary-camp spots, and quickly double back and assist the ground vehicles should they require it." And if it's the jets that run get in over their heads first? Well, then they can run away faster!
The pastel Seeker then bent his knees slightly, waiting to be given the order to move out.
OOC: The suggestion works for me, so long as its a one-of. I likes me some lasers!

A good-sized blast had laid open the subterrene secret; and now, through a jagged aperture perhaps five feet across and three feet thick, there yawned before the avid searchers a section of shallow limestone hollowing worn more than fifty million years ago by the trickling ground waters of a bygone tropic world....
Oh dear. The antarctic travelogue was threatening to get to the interesting parts. A hollow threat, Dead End recalled, but it did look vaguely threatening at this point.
On the other hand, no one was actually moving out yet, or insisting that Dead End do anything. Hook would insist he carry stuff, so no chance of being left behind.
Cannonball's dialogue apparently escaped from that Disney pirate movie, and his attitude from Swindle. Dead End wished the sequels had made their way to Charr; they were doubtless much more entertaining than anything Motormaster or Galvatron had to say. Now, that was a thought... wouldn't it be just peachy if Galvatron showed up?
...that was such an atrociously bad idea that it was bound to happen.
Dead End had two major weapons: a air concussion cannon, which was not an energy weapon, and the kinetic energy of two tons of the finest of European steel going 220 mph--which was an energy weapon, but not in the sense Starscream meant. So he ignored Starscream's pointless order and continued to read.

Hook continued to work on the machinery in front of him while other people talked about making decisions. The final touches on his wheeled and maglevved tractor-trailer that could attach to, oh, a Porsche would only take a few more minutes.
After that, he would go to examine the tank Dead End and Skystrike had downed last night. Hopefully, by that time, the jets would have cleared out to scout ahead and no longer be occupying his workspace.

OOC: All right, folks. I know we're in a bit of a lurch here, because several people are waiting for answers or orders, but this thread HAS to get moved forward. We're going to do a minor time skip to after the negotiations are done and orders are given. Cannonball, the assumption will be that you guys managed to come to some sort of workable agreement. Contact Scott and work out the specific details with him when he returns. Everyone else: we're traveling in two groups, a land vehicle group and an air group. We'll close this thread and pick up two separate threads for that. Hook, Cannonball, and Dead End will be in the ground vehicle thread, which will be kicked off by Hook. Cannonball and Dead End, until you guys post-in, there's no set order, so go ahead and post your responses there whenever you're ready. Skystrike, Starfighter, Fleetwind, and Starscream (when he returns) will be in the jet thread. Fleetwind will be making the first post with that. The ground vehicles will be the ones to pick up Demolishor, while the jets scout ahead.
