Emirate Xaaron does not know of any Crystal City. He knows of celestial spires, although mostly as a rather polite curse. It must be a location peculiar to Long Haul and Perceptor's timeline. Synapse's, too, evidently. He tells himself just to shrug it off. He's been a singular figure before, anachronistic in his own time. He'll deal with it now.
Also, his information on the Constructicons is pretty much useless to Long Haul, for the same reasons.
Idly, Emirate Xaaron looks around, wondering if any of the surrounding can be used as impromptu-weapons. Well, he could possibly snap off a lightpost and use it at a bat, if it came to that. He doesn't think a lightpost would last too many hits against Cybertronian metal, but it's something.
He asks, because someone has to, "What does Synapse look like? What ought we expect?"

Long Haul crouches slightly, and flexes his fingers, but doesn't de-subspace his weapon. He reasons that having a weapon out increases the odds of a misunderstanding, a conclusion he comes to not through experience, but through the fact that he is certainly apt to take things the wrong way when someone's pointing a weapon at him.
He nods faintly as Xaaron asks what to expect - maybe he should have thought to ask that, but Xaaron seems a lot better at thinking through this whole "tactical" stuff, and besides, Long Haul's mind is really on other matters, anyway. He glances at Perceptor briefly and says, very softly, "Yeah... you can tell me later. Looks like we'll have the time for it."

"He will likely be preceded by his surveillance nodes, round black spheres that he may send independently. Synapse himself has a transport alt mode, flight and space capable, dark green in color. I anticipate that will be the mode he approaches in, to reach us the most quickly," Perceptor answers, panning his gaze in an arc that encompasses the direction he'd last seen the node hovering. He's also watching for other movement, guessing that this would be an excellent time for an ambush, either by an opponent, or by another mega-fauna creature such as the dragon.

Synapse makes his pass around and draws overhead the group, his nodes spiraling lazily around him and then the individuals below. He lands a few feet away and quickly transforms.
It's an odd group. He isn't sure what to make of the rather unfamiliar golden bot and barely manages to quirk a nervous smile in Long Haul's direction. Doing his best to suppress any signs of uncertainty, Synapse stands straight and walks closer.
"This place is scaled smaller than I thought."

Emirate Xaaron listens very closely to Perceptor's description and commits it to memory. Soon, he ought to have images to index along with that description. He is not disappointed, for Synapse arrives. The robot does not appear to be threatening. He notes, "Many xenorganics are smaller than the average Transformer. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Emirate Xaaron. Perceptor has already kindly informed me of your name, Synapse."
Emirate Xaaron smiles warmly. He's still ready to go for a lightpost, if he needs to.
OOC: Quick post - don't want to bog you guys down.

Long Haul does not smile. He doesn't have a mouth. He does, however, straighten up and relax. He dips his head forward in a nod, and his gentle blue optic band brightens momentarily. "Yeah," he adds, although he'll have to take the others' word as to how Xenos are scaled. Certainly, it's odd for him to be one of the tallest Transformers around!
The transport shifts his weight and places a fist on one hip. "I'm Long Haul, by the way. Construction and logist... log... supply specialist." While he knows on a conscious level that his group apparently become famous (or wouldn't it be that other one? The bad one?), he still has a hard time thinking that way.
He glances back at Perceptor, then looks again at Synapse. "Flying and, erm, surveillance? That's going to be heckeva useful, I'm guessing."

As Synapse breaks into sight, and then drops to a landing, nervous smile and all, Perceptor finally allows himself to start relaxing again.
"Synapse. Welcome. We are definitely no longer on Cybertron, any Cybertron, and we have yet to come across any indication of what, exactly, life forms once occupied this world, other than they were slightly larger than a human, and much smaller than we," he replies with a nod towards Xaaron for his observation. "Did you note anything of interest on your approach, Synapse? We are still seeking supplies, fuel, and a defensible location to wait out the night."
OOC: cannot brain today, for I have the dumb. apologies.

Synapse feels himself relaxing for the barest bit at the friendly reception. The golden bot seemed cordial enough. Long Haul, well, the Constructi- construction bot surprised Synapse with his easy greeting. Having Perceptor around, from the far future or not, was a bit comforting.
"Eh, yeah, flying and surveillance, that's what I'm built for." Synapse lets his nodes wander throughout the group before letting them float above him.
He really doesn't want to pay attention to the fact that he really is not on Cybertron any longer, but the problem can't be ignored. As long as he can go without a proper refuel, it won't be long until that energy warning begins flashing in his vision as well. "The mass of 'vegetation'," he trips a bit over the foreign term, "Seems to offer some cover. If you're looking for energy...the place I left, it must run off of some sort of energy source, after all, some of the strange walls are still functioning. From what I can tell, they are energy fields. Powerful ones."
OOC: It seems that today is slow for many of us ^^

Emirate Xaaron appreciates the value of good intelligence. Having had it at a few points in history could have worked wonders. Fallen friends would never have fallen. He says as much, noting, "Your abilities should prove most useful, Synapse."
However, he cannot help but wish they had someone here who is a bit more suited to combat. Xaaron informs, "We do know that there is at least one Decepticon on this planet. There may be more. Also, the local predators can prove dangerous." He rubs his own half-healed injuries, remembering. Perhaps Perceptor already informed Synapse of all this. Redundancy never killed anyone, unless they literally were bored to death.
Emirate Xaaron is a peculiar looking Transformer - no symbol, no trace of an alternate mode, rather short, yellow optics, and he appears to have metal stitches through his lips. He exudes confidence and a sense that he belongs here, however.

Long Haul's optics dim as he's reminded of "at least one Decepticon." His gaze lowers, and he seems to study nothing more than the ground for a moment, perhaps noting the considerably longer shadows. Then he re-activates his radio (it's too important to leave it off for long, after all... and what if another is drawn from his time?) and looks up.
"This other place of yours, the one that's still got energy that’s running things? Y'think you can lead us to it on the ground? And quickly?" He looks to the others, then points at the sun. "That star's been headin' downwards for awhile now, and if we don't wanna be caught out when it's below the horizon, we better find a place to settle in soon."
OOC: I am trying to RP drunk. This is probably a mistake.

Perceptor considers their current situation and the others' observations and recommendations for a moment.
"While I agree, Long Haul, we must exercise extreme caution. Given the state of disrepair and abandonment of the settlement we have observed thus far, it raises the question: why does that area retain energy supply? Synapse described it as a holding area for alien creatures. Given the one creature we have faced already, and the fact that this facility Synapse describes still retains some energy supply while, thus far, nothing else we have observed has, we must assume that the facility may yet restrain other similarly dangerous creatures for it to possess an apparently more hardened energy supply. The creature we faced may have, in fact, escaped from that facility. We cannot, however, overlook a potential energy source," he explains, before turning, expectantly, to Synapse for direction.

Synapse straightens, his confidence in his function washing out the anxiety from the attention he is receiving. It's like a mission debriefing really. Only thing is that he's not entirely convinced that he can replace Emirate Xaaron's golden form and Long Haul's large sturdy build with Ultra Magnus and Kup. Xaaron's not the only one that is wishing for more battle-ready bots, but as far as Synapse thinks, Long Haul is the most battle ready of all of them.
"I wasn't able to pinpoint the energy source of the walls, but it's definitely there." Synapse purses his lips as he runs over the information he has received since his arrival to this strange planet. "Leading us back to the area shouldn't be too difficult, but it's what's there that worries me. During my brief stay there and my way to rendez-vous with your group, I noticed signs of movement within the facility. From what I could tell, whatever it is is quite large and hopefully slow moving."
"My nodes can scout ahead as we make our way to the area, but..." he glances towards Perceptor with an apologetic shrug. "I'm not sure how far we can make it before night fall, the area's too foreign to me to make proper calibrations."

Emirate Xaaron has far more in common with Kup than he does Ultra Magnus. He suggests, "If the area was, indeed, a containment area for dangerous animals, I would not consider it the best area for waiting out the night. We have cording that we scavenged off a local predator. Synapse could fly up to one of the taller roofs, tie down a cord, and send the other end down. We could then climb up, presuming that the cord holds. High ground seems more desirable to me than an area what may contain dangerous creatures. It, at least, rules out most ground-based assaults."
Now, they're still vulnerable to ranged assault and fliers, but they'd need a nice underground bunker to be rid of those dangers. Xaaron doesn't expect this place to be perfect. It's not Cybertron.

"Hah!" Long Haul (who, while having a sturdy build, is actually not very large as a robot; he's probably somewhere around five feet shorter than Kup) grunts. "That's right, we do got that stuff! Guess it's a good thing you tossed it in after all!" Long Haul falls forward as he transforms, and now he does get considerably larger as his reconfiguration automatically de-subspaces a good portion of his mass. Also returning from nowhere is the load of supplies Perceptor and Xaaron had piled into his truck bed earlier. "Lemme know when you got the cords out," he requests. "Best to still leave everything else still in there, since I can bring it up with us when I climb up. Then we can go about gettin' settled." OOC note: The Decepticon thread has moved into night-time. As soon as we've settled ourselves on a roof-top, we'll follow. Don't worry about any time discrepancies, though. Remember: this is a RPG based on cartoons and comic books. Neither format is particularly well known for their accurate or realistic handling of the passage of time.

OOC note: Perceptor's player has just informed me that he won't be available for posting until tomorrow evening, and has given us permission to skip his turns until then. Should we move location (like, say, climb on top of this here building Xaaron was talking about climbing on top of), we're going to just assume that Perceptor is coming with us, but is in a quiet state of mental fugue.
Synapse, this means that you're up next. I want to thank everyone for their patience.
