Quietly, Spinister notes, "I'm here."
So now Needlenose has a good reason to look out for Spinister. How many Decepticons are willing to give other Decepticons rides? Of course, Spinister can and does watch out for himself. He isn't going to let up on that front. Spinister also knows that throwing himself into danger is a way to motivate Needlenose, albeit a chancy one. The fact that he's transportation, too, just builds on that motivating factor.
Spinister continues to cut low over the terrain. The ride might even be slightly exciting, if only for the grasping trees just below the helicopter and his cargo. He flies with his infra-red on, and he sees a world of furtive, hiding animal life, but there are still no signs of live sophonts, just the artefacts they left behind them.

Needlenose's sighs softly, and his antennae droop. "Yeah. You are." He is, but Needlenose's Spinister is not.
Needlenose grabs on a little tighter and leans a little closer due to the rough ride. It wouldn't due to be pulled out by one of those trees! Of course, the fact that the action involves, well, grabbing a little tighter and leaning a little closer are just happy coincidence.

They travel, and silence resounds below them. Spinister breaks the awkward quiet with, "Autobots are here, too, and other threats. No idea how many or their capacities."
He has to ask. He must. Voice almost breathy, feathering out to nothingness at the edges, Spinister whispers, "What happens after you, um, don't die? Why were we working for Thunderwing?" He's just a backwater lieutenant. "Tell me everything. I need to know more than just, 'Don't get shot.'"
Spinister knows that already. He needs to know why he fails to follow through.
Singe also speaks up, "Was there any news of Llyra?"
Hairsplitter corrects, "Don't you mean, 'Will there be any news of Llyra?' and 'What will happen...'" There's a slight clicking noise, and Hairsplitter turns squawky, "Hey, no disengaging my lock mechanism, boss! It's a long way down!"

Needlenose continues to hold on. He looks down, showing that his loss of flight hasn't caused them to bother him, at least noticeably so, and occasionally twitches his wings or antennae in the wind. "You mentioned Omega Supreme," he points out.
Then he shrugs. "After I didn't die, you didn't die - largely thanks to me, I might add - and the rest of the Mayhem Attack Squad got captured. They didn't stay that way, which is probably why we got stasis later on instead of a cell. Thunderwing... got voted Decepticon leader by a Decepticon council. That's why we were working for him. Then we started hearing about some strange Autobot activity..."
Needlenose summarizes the events between the Wolf Saga and the Matrix Quest, then details the Matrix Quest itself, from the capture of Nightbeat to the chase and eventual aquisition of the Matrix to Thunderwing's eventual possession by the corrupt artifact, ending finally with his expulsion into space and their surrender to the Autobots.
"And then we were placed into stasis, and that was it until I woke up here, not able to transform and... well, you saw what happened to my guns. I feel like there are other differences, too."
Needlenose twists around to try to see Singe. Not easy from his angle. "No... no news of Llyra." At least none that Needlenose was paying attention to.

Spinister listens along to Needlenose, and he gets the impression that Needlenose is leaving something out. However, all the major military actions appear to be in there, as well as details of the players. He can't fathom what Needlenose might have omitted. Tales of his video game prowess, perhaps. Spinister might press Needlenose again at some later time, but he just cannot see the missing details as possibly being relevant.
He understands why his future self did what he will do. Spinister would do it, and in the future, he already did. Taking down a diseased leader is one of his duties, but Thunderwing had/will have the Matrix. A Decepticon Matrix Bearer could be an unimaginable asset. Unicron, taken down by a Decepticon! Would that not show the universe the validity of their cause? Spinister had to give talking sense into him a shot.
So he was shot/will be shot.
Singe sighs and says regretfully, "Yeah. Didn't think so." It's a war, and news from back home's going to be hard to get, especially since they're exiles. Still, she's Zarak's daughter. Maybe he'd keep tabs.
Spinister reports, for Needlenose's benefit, "Starscream says that the area where we are headed there are at least five Autobots. No Omega Supreme. Probably the same group that Fleetwind described by colour."

Needlenose considers the colors that this "Fleetwind" listed off, and one antennae goes to a cocked angle. "Fleetwind only listed four colors," he points out. He shifts a little, still holding on carefully. Needlenose is not comfortable, and very antsy, but too much movement runs the risk of throwing Spinister's balance off.
"I won't complain about no Omega Supreme, though!"

Spinister continues the trek. His tops speed is 520 miles per hour. It's impressive for a helicopter, but it's still not enough to get them to the battle on time.
He doesn't recognise the Autobots on broadband.
Spinister does, however, mention, "Lord Starscream said Perceptor is there. Perhaps he was in a form too small for Fleetwind to sight."

Needlenose nods. "That could be it." Then he squirms a bit, once more trying to make himself more comfortable.
There's silence, for a time, before the unknowing Actionmaster speaks up again, "I suppose we should expect reinforcements on their side, then. It's not so much that we know they've got at least one Autobot in reserve. It's that we know it's a damned rocket ship." The last note may be a bit bitter. Omega Supreme probably doesn't have any problems transforming!
