//Nearly there,// she replies.
Soon enough, this is true, and her car form pulls over to where they are. She transforms back to robot mode and looks around. "Pretty fascinating place, isn't it?"

"Yeah, it is." And considering that Jazz's attention has wandered away from the creature, where has it landed? Oh yeah. Arcee. That's what distracted him. She's different. And he's giving her a once over, and not bothering to hide it. Sorry. He's not that tactful. But he is smiling and friendly, even though she's the wrong colors. "So what'cha found out here?" He asks. Yeah. All business, now that he's fixed this Arcee in mind. "How far over that way did ya explore so far? Did ya find any factory type areas? Or maybe somethin' that's more educational... schools an' libraries, maybe?"
Does he ever shut up to listen to the answers?
Yes, actually.

Long Haul shrugs to Arcee. "This is my first time really out out since I got here, I mean, outside of the first day, when we were first found this place and such. Fascinating... I s'pose..." He sighs. "To me it's so... different it's kinda overwhelming. I'm still just working to get my mind around this 'organic' stuff." He chuckles, and his optics brighten slightly as he bounces onto the 'toe' end of his dump-truck feet. "First time I saw a tree, I thought it was some kinda strange column that someone built. Perceptor hadda explain that it grew there, like a crystal." He pauses. "Messier than a crystal, though."

She shrugs. "It reminds me a little bit of Earth, but... I think most organics are a lot alike."
Though she does notice Jazz's wander eye, she doesn't comment on it. She probably should, but for now, she can let it slide. Better to swallow her pride and allow for some harmony between them all.
"I didn't get that far out, actually. But I did peek in a few buildings. It's weird. Almost like whoever was here left in a hurry."

All the girls notice when Jazz gives 'em the eye!
Ok, so it wasn't an unfriendly look, just an openly curious one. As though he were seeing the differences... Not that that would get him out of trouble anyway.
"First time out for me as well," Jazz grins. He's focused on Arcee's face, as is proper for a conversation between beings. Right? He's not subtle, but he's also not looking to get hit. "Trees are kinda... wierd." He agrees with Long Haul. "Messy and don't grow in as few patterns as crystal. Like someone put some kind of taint in the crystal vat, an' made it warp with the gravity an' winds and such."
Oh. Organics! How your environment shapes you in odd ways!
"Ain't quite like Earth-- but I wasn't really there long 'nuff to get a good look." Jazz continues, "So, citywide evac maybe? That doesn't sound too good. What kinda places were you lookin' at so far?"

"Not just citywide, Jazz. When we went to meet Omega Supreme, there was plenty of towns and buildings and stuff that we passed along the beach... but no people anywhere."
Long Haul begins to look around. It's not fidgety, like Jazz is, just... an examination. Occasionally, he brings up a hand and moves it slightly, index finger out, like he's trying to trace something. In fact, what he is doing is, once more, trying to use his knowledge of how cities are typically laid out to work out the patterns.
"I think there's some docks a bit further down river, past the spot where they got it channeled... would make sense for more factories to be around there, if they got 'em." Then he points at a fairly wide road. "This road looks fairly important... can't tell if it would be government or something else, though."

"I drove through what might have been a residential area. Or a downtown, at any rate. Lots of buildings grouped close together. No big purpose I could see," she reports.
Arcee considers herself reasonably clever, but this is well beyond her. Give her something to hit or shoot any day. She'd normally leave the mysteries to the science types and leaders, but here and now, she wants to do something.
Her visor drops into place as she looks down the road Long Haul had pointed. Maybe she can find something...?

Jazz nods, as Long Haul explains himself. Considering that Jazz isn’t exactly an expert on building cities, he’s gonna trust the Constructibot’s opinion on things. Oh cool! Arcee’s got a visor too! Wonder what spectrums it sees! “Anyone been down that way yet? Might be a good place ta find machines an’ stuff that Perceptor might want.” Jazz speculates. “Important road might lead t’ government buildin’s or something? That might be a good place t’get information–“ Mysteries are fun though, Arcee! Jazz is bouncing a bit at the idea of finding something. Of course, that could just be him anyhow.

The buildings could be government buildings... or upper scale office buildings. They're all rather squat, as most the buildings in this city are.
Arcee would be able to see a spot where the road parts to circle around a raised area of grass. In the middle is a spire of some sort, a tower (though not one so large that a Transformer could actually enter inside) with oddly shaped protrusions - antennae? - on it. Perhaps a monument? Perhaps something else?
Long Haul shrugs at Jazz. "Don't know if anyone's been down there. I hain't got the chance to go myself. I'm just..." Long Haul shrugs. "I'm making guesses, but I may be assuming too much. They don't seem to lay out their city as well as we did ours, but I'm still trying to... y'know, find patterns. Based on how cities are normally set."

"Some kind of tower down that way," she says, pointing. "It's got something coming off it. Might be antennae, might just be spikes. I can't tell."
Her visor retracts. "Probably worth a look"

"A tower?" Jazz's attention wasn't peaked until she mentioned the antannae. Which may be spikes. Spiked towers are inevitably interesting, "Sounds good to me! Let's head over, and check it out." Depending on how far away it is, he may have to transform and drive, right? Which... might not be so peachy. His paint isn't quite... perfect. Jazz will have to ignore that for now though. "So, you've got telescopic on the visor?" He's bubbly, and probably asking for all the specs and magnifications at this point. Just one of those curiosity things-- and still. Moving.

Long Haul only has a visor! Poor Long Haul!
He nods his head, and says, "Sure. Can't hurt to check it out, huh?" And yes, the tower is some distance down the road. Certainly, they'll get there faster driving than walking... although Jazz and Arcee can both get there much faster than the slow dump truck.
Long Haul transforms into his alt mode, and his engine starts up. He considers waiting for the others, but... naw. They're both faster than he is, anyway. He begins rolling up the road.

Is Jazz just interested... or is he hitting on her? Arcee's not certain, but in some ways, he certainly does remind her of both Hot Rod and Springer.
"Yeah," she says. "Comes in handy every now and then. Not that I need it when I'm shooting."
She transforms into her own vehicular mode and begins to move out, albeit slowly so that Long Haul can keep pace.

Sorry Arcee, you're pretty (in that exotic over-dressed kind of way) and obviously special, and most certainly a wonderful being-- but Jazz is actually just interested in finding out your capabilities, and what kind of technology has developed your universe.
Poor Long Haul. Arcee's visor is retractable, just like Jazz's. That's the only reason he hasn't asked about his. Either way, the little sports car is showing remarkable (for him) restraint in driving only a little faster than everyone else.... and having to either circle back, or idle while waiting. "Know it does. You a sharpshooter or a sniper then?" Jazz hasn't really been completely silent. Seriously. "That's good t'know. Can't underestimate the importance of someone bein' there t'watch your back." And such an interesting shade of light red, as well. Maybe he should be hitting on her... Nah. Not a really good idea. She could probably kick his aft. And what would he do if she actually liked-- "Sorry. Goin' too fast again for ya, Long Haul." Jazz finally realizes that he's left them behind twice already, and drops back to a flanking position again. "I should remember bettern' that."

"Eh, that's okay, Jazz. I know I ain't much for speed," Long Haul admits. Who also has horrible aim. Sigh. Well, at least he can kind of throw a punch... and when it lands, it lands hard!
"Y'got a lot of energy there, Jazz. Y'ain't over-clocked or anything, are you?"
Eventually, the group pull up to the tower. It appears that, in addition to whatever utility purpose it serves, it was also intended as decoration... it's painted over in intricate but abstract patterns in silver and blue, mostly soft and graceful curves, although the designs steer clear of areas on which are printed what appears to be more of the local language.
Long Haul transforms and sighs as he notes an entrance... too small, of course. "We may have to just mark this place down and come back with Holi... or maybe Holi and a camera or something, so's he can show us what he's seeing and Holi can, y'know, do stuff. If he needs to."
