Hook is apparently invisible to Starscream. That's all right, because Starscream isn't invisible to him.

Dead End had started to raise a hand in warning as Starscream ran his hand along the edge of Hook's tray of tools. Didn't the Air Commander know better than to meddle with Hook's equipment? The mask hid all expression as usual, but the Stunticon flinched slightly as Hook spoke up.
Delightful. Starscream and Hook would now kill each other, and if Dead End didn't die in the crossfire, he'd die in the inevitable scramble for power afterwards. Or just rust away as all his parts slowly disintegrated from lack of proper maintenance from Hook. More realistically, with his forcefields failing from lack of anyone to repair them, the Autobots would get him.
SO SLAGGIN' DO SOMETHING, YA USELESS PILE OF GEARS AND RUSTED-OUT SHEET METAL!
Dead End froze. He hadn't heard that voice with his audials; he knew that! It was in his mind. He was in his mind. Shared code from Menasor, like when he went Wildrider out in the battle for the power station. Dead End wasn't just doomed; he was cursed.
A brief rumble of jets 'clearing their throats' sounded not far away.
"Oh dear. Hook, I believe Skyfire expects you quite soon, judging from that horrendous racket outside."
Dead End turned his visored gaze toward Starscream. "Of course I've left out things about your fate! Your goings and comings covered the previous two years of my life, and those were very busy years. I'm sure there's plenty of interesting events I haven't mentioned; if you could clarify what sort of things you're interested in knowing, I could be more informative."
He tilts his head slightly. "Or perhaps not. I'm only one Stunticon, in only one place at any given time. There is much I didn't see personally, or have only vaguest notion why what happened, happened. Some of the things I've told you I gleaned from second-hand accounts, and only happen to know that much because the rumors piqued my interest." Dead End-ese for 'I obsessively chased down the truth behind rumors that appealed to my morbid fetishes'.
He ponders for a moment. "It occurs to me that that Shockwave-looking fellow was on the Autobot City raid. He might be able to give you more details about those events."
Dead End thinks a bit more. "You rescued Octane from Galvatron," he says. "And somehow contrived to lure Galvatron into an ambush by Rodimus Prime and his most powerful associates, or so I've heard. Hard to get details on that one--it's not a safe topic of inquiry under Galvatron's reign."

OOC: Okay, I misread and thought you were leaving with Skyfire Hook, my bad.
Starscream shot a look at his second in command. It was a threat, you dolt, he thought to himself. Starscream isn't as prone to random outlashes of violence like his former leader was, but Hook seemed hellbent on pushing all his buttons. With all the restraint he could muster, he sat there listening to Dead End's explanation. Then he turned to his 2IC. "Hook. This is now a general-purpose repair bay, and you had better get used to others using your tools until we can manufacture new ones. Though you are beyond a doubt our top repair-mech, you are not our only one. Now, get out of here before I order you shot for back-talking to your commanding officer!"

You glitter-plated moron. Haven't you observed the way I work at all?
//Abide a moment, Skyfire. An emergency has come up that shouldn't take long to deal with,// Hook radios the white shuttle.
"No, I will not. I keep my tools in my toolkit when they are not in use, and my toolkit stays with me."
He had, in fact, been packing them away when Starscream started fondling the tray they rested on. The tray would also be going into his toolkit, since it was part of his toolset.
He continues to pack things away in the vast thing he claims as a toolkit, leaving the power screwdriver he had gotten out earlier for last.
There were really few things better for discouraging someone's foolishness than leaving them in pieces.
"Now you listen to me, and you listen to me well, Starscream. You have a guarantee that I will not kill you, thanks to Dead End's information. However, if you cannot take what you gave to Megatron, then you might consider putting a shot through your own lasercore."
Hook picks up the power screwdriver and turns it on briefly, watching it spin. "Most of us do remember what you were like as second-in-command, don't forget. When you are a fool, I will inform you of it. When you are risking your life unnecessarily, I will inform you of it. Be grateful I gave you a warning at all. Most people with as much experience with the way I run a repair bay as you have would have simply gone into the spare parts bin."

Dead End froze again, then began to creep backwards, one step at a time. Even Megatron didn't meddle with the Constructicons in their own domain! This could not end well at all. If it came down to a fight, whose side was he on?
Did it matter? No matter what, he was doomed. They needed Hook as much as they needed Starscream, perhaps more so. After all, another Megatron might show up to lead, but there was only one Hook. The broken stubs of Menasor ate at him; Dead End needed his team!
"I have a small toolset if someone needs repair while Hook is gone," Dead End said. His air concussion rifle suddenly waited at his side, held easily in his right hand, muzzle pointed at the floor. There was an inaudible hum heard only by Dead End as his remaining forcefields came on line. "As do you, as I recall. So does Needlenose. Harassing Hook is pointless. Threatening him even more so. Don't we have Autobots out there to shoot instead?"

Starscream was FURIOUS at Hook. How DARE he talk back to him like that.. and yet as much as Starcream hated the truth, he makes a point. However, he's frustrated, and Dead end just told Starscream to leave his own second-in-command alone! Starscream suddenly had a great means of relieving his stress.
"Yes, but you're closer!" He yelled, thrusting his right arm at the Stunticon as a powerful Null-Ray blast emitted from his arm rifle.
Regardless of whether he hit or missed, Starscream felt better. To Hook, he said, "We'll talk about this later."

Hook watches Dead End crumple to the ground. "Those suicidal tendencies need to be repaired sometime."
The power screwdriver goes back into his toolkit, and the entire thing clicks closed. "I am certain that we will, Starscream."
Just like they had talked about it later the last time Hook backtalked to the Air Commander.
He slides the toolkit into subspace, inclines his head to the white jet, and stalks over to where Skyfire waits for him.
Oh, and puts out a call over the main Decepticon general band.

And Hook is out of the thread. Descriptions of Dead End done with his player's permission.

Starscream's null-ray hit Dead End square in the torso--for a fraction of an instant, Dead End was surprised and chagrined to be reminded that Starscream's weapon knocks down Stunticon forcefields. Then it knocked down Dead End, too, all circuitry suddenly shutting down like the big red Quintesson 'OFF' switch had just been flipped.
He crumpled gracelessly to the floor, his rifle falling from his hand with a clatter and knew nothing more....
---- Dead End should wake up in a while; how long depends on what's convenient. Where he wakes up and in what situation is up to the rest of you... For now, he's out of the thread and skippable. Just remember to mention him if you're carting him around or stringing him up, please.

Starscream, glad to have the release of anger, mused over Dead End's unconscious body for a moment, before adding a little something extra to Hook's radio command.
Stepping over Dead End, Starscream strolled off.
OOC: Exit Starscream.

Skystrike slowed to stop before transforming and quietly landing on the squared roof of a building. She peered around for a moment before her optics settled on Dead End’s prone form a few hundred yards away and a slightly confused expression settled on her face. The jet stepped off the building’s roof, her feet clanking slightly as it touched the road before fading into the rhythmic sound of footsteps and whirring of the berkut’s joints.
Dead End didn’t seem to have any external injuries and Starscream had been here if she remembered his amused tone over the radio correctly. The mech was probably just incapacitated for the time being then. Skystrike came to a stop of meter or so away from the dark mech resisting the urge to nudge his arm with her foot. The car was lucky he wasn’t particularly disliked by anyone otherwise his situation would’ve been potentially fatal for him.
Uttering a soft ‘harrumph’, the blue jet growled something under her breath and crouched down to pick up the Stunticon, gently placing a hand under his shoulder and the other under his knee joints before standing back up with a soft grunt. At least he wasn’t very heavy and there weren’t any annoying wings or random pieces of kibble that’d make keeping a hold of him difficult. With that done, Skystrike turned and peered up at the sky waiting for Starfighter’s arrival as well as his ideas for what constituted as a ‘semi-safe but amusing’ place. There were no real amusing places in a mining city and even if there was, the berkut wasn’t going to put Dead End there. There also weren’t any real ‘semi-safe’ places here as far as she was concerned; it was either ‘potentially dangerous’ or ‘potentially fatal’ places when you lived with Decepticons you weren’t familiar with.

Starfighter touches down with a bit of a whimper. He has a perverse urge to go fuss over Dead End until he wakes up, but it would be unDecepticonly and rather silly on the side. "What happened to him?" he asks quietly as he goes to help Skystrike carry Dead End, cradling him ever so gently as if the Stunticon is going to wake up any moment and critique him on his bedside manner. "He doesn't look hurt, Hook would fix him if he was..." Who would do such a thing to him?
Oh, right, Starscream. Starfighter knew there was a reason he hadn't really cared for the second in command based on everything he'd read about him.
"I can stay with him until he wakes up again," the seeker offered. "It won't be completely safe, but he'll have a guard and I'm not doing anything at the moment. Do you think he'd be all right with that or should you stay with me to help guard him?"

“Starscream’s null rays going by the lack of external damage.” Skystrike answered, watching with a quizzical expression when Starfighter cradled Dead End lightly. Gentleness and seekers had been long disassociated from each other in her world. Seeing a seeker being gentle confused her and made her rather suspicious nowadays; even Starfighter doing so was no exception to this, especially when he was standing this close to her.
So when he asked whether or not she wanted to help him guard Dead End, she found herself narrowing her optics slightly before answering, “I don’t exactly have anything better to do either.” And she really didn’t. Skystrike had never been particularly good at figuring out what to do with her free time and her old comrades usually did that for her anyways.
“Our orders were to bring him somewhere relatively' safe',” she prompted after a moment. “What place would you consider ‘safe’?”

Needlenose strolls into the area, a slight, cheerful bounce to his step. You'd never realize just how badly he misses flying. Jets are cool. Jets are awesome. Jets are rad, bad, and totally hip. Needlenose misses being a jet, badly. Needlenose likes following fashion trends and all, and part of being a trend means that a lot of people have to be doing it, but let's face it... walking as a mode of transportation is so 'in' it's 'out.'
He scans the area, tilts his head back, and grumble-sighs, one hand going to his waist. "You were told to take him somewhere 'semi-safe, but amusing,' not make out with him," he snarks towards Starfighter as the Seeker cradles and fusses over the Stunticon. "First off, repair is not semi-safe if the repair mechs don't want you here. I know I don't, and considering Hook was the one who told you to move him somewhere else, he probably doesn't, either. And second... well, actually, you making out with him is pretty amusing, come to think of it..." he trails off thoughtfully at this.

Starfighter, if he knew of the phenomenon, would be glad he did not have blood vessels in his cheeks that might reveal a visual sign of terminal embarrassment. As it is he simply coughs lightly and focuses very intently on not looking at Needlenose.
"We could put him in one of the munitions bunkers that we found earlier. There's only one entrance and he'd be secure in case of an attack." The pale seeker is attempting to pretend that he hasn't noticed Needlenose's comment. He's gotten worse comments in relation to his obvious interest in being loyal to Shockwave (as all should be), but it's still making him rather uncomfortable.
"I'd think the safe part would come before the amusing part, though. We could..." What would pass for amusing but be generally unharmful? "We could paint something silly on him?"

“We’re moving him in a moment.” Skystrike answers Needlenose with all the enthusiasm of a century old brick. She’d just managed to get away from him and here the flightless jet comes sauntering towards them again. Joy of joys. Admittedly the making out comment was amusing, but amusement was not something the berkut outwardly conveyed in such company anymore. So here she was, stiff as a metal pole with an unconscious suicidal Porsche in her arms, watching with a flat look as her comrades tried to come up with something entertaining to do with him.
Maybe if Needelnose wasn’t Needlenose and the, err, ‘victim’ wasn’t Dead End then Skystrike would’ve eased up more. As it was, the berkut simply contented herself with not participating in the planning. For the time being.
