The Apache is moderately nimble, and Sell Sword has horribly bad aim. However, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then, and one shot lands home on his undercarriage. Spinister is rocked slightly, and there's a nasty mark down there, but he puts the pain out of his mind.
He has driven his quarry to ground, and he notes, "The end game in is in sight."
The Apache opens fire with his batteries of automatic particle beam cannons, aiming at Sell Sword's arms and legs, because while having a pile of helicopter spare parts would be nice, cannon fodder to throw at the Autobots is also useful.

And again, leaping to one side, Sell Sword manages to dodge some of the shots.
Most of them, though, smash into his legs, he is now not all that mobile. After bieng angry that he couldn't get his hands on his foe, he is now livid.
With one last push, Sell Sword springs from the ground, blades carving the air up in front of him, hoping to catch Spinister.

The Apache, honestly, has no desire to get into remotely close range, not when he can reliably hit a target from afar. Besides, staying away makes it easier to retreat, and everybody knows how Decepticons just love retreating! Cough.
He considers just dropping his other bomb, but he decides to keep that for later. For all he knows, they'll be assaulted by Ultra Magnus, Springer, and Inferno on the way back. So the Apache just continues with his automatic particle beam cannons, still aiming for extremities.
Continuing with his semi-flowery and slightly morbid speech, Spinister narrates, "Knight takes pawn."
The Apache changes his angle ever so slightly, as if peering over at Starscream. What, does Starscream want him to knock out Sell Sword? Kill him? When is enough enough? He prompts, "My Lord Starscream, this is going nowhere but a Rooivalk-sized pinewood box. I fight ranged, and I'm fast enough to keep a fight ranged. Setting him against Wreckage would be a much better test of his abilities, because unless I miss my mark," and Spinister rarely does, "Sell Sword here prefers melee."

And, as guessed, Sell Sword sails under Spinister, still being pelted by shots.
When he lands, he's had enough, and plants his swords in the ground in front of him.
"Enough, I'm not going to win this, and I don't feel like dieing quite yet." He says with a low growl in his voice.

"I know of the descrepancies in fighting styles, Spinister, thank you." Starscream said with a resigned tone to his voice. "I think that's enough, Spinister. I've learned everything there is to learn here, you spending more firepower is just a waste of our energon supply."
He then turned to his potential contractor. "And you. You certainly boast enough, but from all I've seen here you're operating purely out of theory since you have yet to get close enough to land a single strike on your opponent!" Starscream is exaggerating, yes, but still. "Do you think you can simply ASK the Autobots to send a melee specialist against you?" Hmm, but if he DID do that then chances are he wouldn't have to pay Sell Sword..
Starscream narrowed his optics. "So far you have proven none of the claims you have made. Consider yourself lucky that I do not simply leave you here." That, and it was in Starscream's best interests to keep this one away from the Autobots. He had no idea they weren't interested in him. "You may have the co-ordinates to our base, a repair from one of our medics when they have the time, and a top-up of fuel." Starscream transmitted the co-ordinates. "I will consider a secondary evaluation later. Spinister, follow me. I have to talk with my newest subordinate." With that, Starscream transformed and took off. Assuming Spinister followed, they'd be leaving Sell Sword alone in the plains.
Here's hoping he's undamaged enough to fly to the base.
OOC: Sell Sword, Starscream may be a jerk but I'm not. IF you want your character to walk there, feel free to just make a time-skip and pose in on one of the base threads whenever it suits you.

Spinister was just giving Sell Sword the benefit of the doubt here. Cannon fodder has its uses, after all, and they tried to recruit Wheelie, he recalls. He wouldn't have minded if Starscream had made this an execution, though. Spinister's chillingly apathetic about this sort of thing. The Apache sort of waggles from side to side in the air, as if shrugging.
He's really not surprised at the outcome. Hunting and killing Decepticons is his job. Mercenaries have it easy against miscellaneous xenos. Certainly, some xenos are more dangerous than Decepticons, Spinister will readily admit, but on balance, they tend to be more fragile than Transformers.
Spinister follows after Starscream. He's not as fast as his commander, and he is somewhat injured, but the damage won't show in robot mode, so he'll still be presentable to Lord Shockwave.

Sell Sword stands with his arms folded on his chest, and he's somewhat angry.
And not at Spinister, no, He's a good opponent who took an opportunity presented to him. A mark of a smart fighter. And neither really at Starscream, he's a pain in the ass, and Sell Sword may have to pull a smash and grab at some point, but that could wait.
No, he was angry at himself for not having anticipated the attack, and then for not fighting intelligently. Its his own fault he's damaged now.
Transforming, he begins to make his way towards the Decepticon base.
