"Ah, all right," Fleetwind answers, tone polite and non-committal at Shockwave's pronouncements and declarations. Of course, it could be said that Fleetwind's Cybertron is united as well... after all, all the Autobots had been driven off the planet.
Language is a funny thing.
"Erm, excuse me." Fleetwind kneels and, not taking his optics off of Shockwave, reaches into the building that Jetstorm had entered and begins groping around, trying to grab Jetstorm.
Fleetwind briefly considers pointing out that lack of mutual recognition doesn't constitute proof in and of itself - after all, on his Cybertron, Shockwave is a very prominent figure, while Fleetwind himself is most certainly not - and then decides against it. Fleetwind's pride-point, in as much as survival allows for pride, is common sense, not logic. Common sense says that you do not point out a flaw in the logic of a very, very powerful mechanoid who appears to pride himself on his logic. In as much as logic allows for pride.
So. Shockwave has been listening on the frequencies. The conversation on General with Sell Sword didn't really yield any proper explanations, but the one on the Decepticon frequency with Ratbat did. So... Cybertron may be united, but Shockwave knows a Decepticon frequency. The Seeker wonders briefly if he also knows the Autobot one?
Finally, Fleetwind's searching hand finds Jetstorm and he plucks the little Transformer out.1 He stands back up and holds the other on his open palm. "He calls himself a 'Vehicon.' He's from a future." These days, there's no longer "the future" or "the past." "Apparently their Cybertron went in for downsizing, as the only others he's recognized are also rather small. His name is Jetstorm." The Seeker explains all of this without actually coming out and saying, No, sir, he's not a drone.
Finally, Fleetwind glances down at Jetstorm. "Jetstorm, this is Shockwave."

Had Fleetwind pointed out the flaw in Shockwave’s thought processes, Shockwave might have pointed out that he has made a very specific point of knowing at least the appearance of all those sporting the Decepticon brand. One can’t tie up loose ends if one can’t find them.
That and the Seeker is yellow. He would remember a yellow Seeker.
Shockwave studies Jetstorm. “A highly efficient form, it seems. We experimented with more energy efficient forms prior to planetary stasis lock, but none were so…compact. You say there are others like him?” he says, his single optic brightening for an instant. No, that isn’t indicative of him wanting to take the Vehicon apart and see what makes it tick. Not at all.
Of the Seeker, he asks, “What is you designation? I have confirmed Thundercracker’s voice patterns, as well as your Air Commander’s. Who seems quite… occupied of late.”

Jetstorm screams as he's grabbed, not realizing that it's Fleetwind's hand. He struggles for a moment before bright light washes over his optics, making him realize that he's outside, and now he's laying safely in Fleetwind's hand. He lays back in the other's palm, cycling air as he attempts to calm down.
"Thanks, comrade," Jetstorm says weakly as he puts his hands on his chest and then sweeps himself up, sitting elegantly in Fleetwind's hand, his bottom fin pushed back as he balances up.
Then he spots Shockwave. Jetstorm stares for a moment, blinking, and then almost doing a double take. "There are not 'others' like me, I'm the one and only Jetstorm! End of line, baby, end of line." Jetstorm shakes his head, and a finger, at Shockwave, proud of his name and his uniqueness. "There are two other generals but one's as dumb as a hunk of steel and the other... Mmn. He's moody."

If Fleetwind had known about that 'tying up loose ends' business, he'd be making escape plans.
Well, actually, because he's Fleetwind, he's been making them, anyway. Currently his favorite is to throw the Vehicon that Shockwave appears to be so interested in directly at that single optic and taking off at top speed. Sorry, Jets, but if it ever comes down to Fleetwind or Jetstorm, Fleetwind's going to choose himself every time.
"The other he recognized wasn't quite like him. Similar in size, but an alternate mode that seems... organic, actually," Fleetwind explains. There is fear in his voice - there is most of the time, really, but it's rather noticeable right now - but his tone is still controlled and even.
"My name is Fleetwind," the Seeker answers Shockwave's question. "May I inquire as to your most recent timestamp before waking up here?" He pauses, then tilts his head. "You didn't wake up at the magnetic pole by any chance, did you?"

“You. Were not. Addressed. Be still….now.” Shockwave stares at the Vehicon, his optic not flickering in the least, until Jetstorm complies. 1 Shockwave returns his attention to Fleetwind.
Shockwave does not miss the controlled fear in the Seeker’s tone. It is a good thing; those that fear can be controlled by their fears. Should Fleetwind flee, Shockwave will let him go. Let the Seeker tell his commander he left Shockwave to his own devices; that will go over well surely.
He files away the information about partially organic Transformers for later; research is not his current priority. He has questions to answer.
“The frigid area to the north, yes. As for my timestamp…,” he gives it, his removal point translating to sometime in 2005, “I am certain Starscream is quite interested in that information. Which begs the question…is he your Air Commander or another’s?”
Yes, Shockwave is not ignorant of the fact that the first thing the Seeker likely did on spotting him was to contact his commander. in fact, he was counting on it.

Jetstorm visibly flinches, staring back at Shockwave. He says nothing, but acts like he should be kicking a little dirt up (if he had legs of course). He floats over next to Fleetwind, almost feeling the nervousness and fear rolling off the other in waves, and tries to be comforting by lightly putting his hand on the other's arm.
He glances back at Shockwave and then stares away, holding tighter onto Fleetwind. // I'm... What do I do? // Jetstorm 'whispers' privately to Fleetwind.

Making his way towards Jetstorm's coordinates is simple enough. Quick enough too. But the reason why Sky-byte is currently no where near the small jet is because of the large expanse of blue in front of him.
Water--no, even better: Ocean. One great big expanse of cool blue.
The Decepticons shouldn't miss him for too terribly long.
In he goes into the ocean blue, reveling in its familiar feel. Well, not too familiar, there's something different about this. A slightly odd feel in comparison to Earth's waters. But then again, hey it's a totally different planet.
Off like an arrow underneath the waves, Sky-byte alternates gleefully between water and air. His delighted leaps making him resemble a dolphin, rather than his proper beast mode.
Ocean delightful Wondrous now to encounter. Happy shark it makes
OOC: Sky-byte his heading towards the group and should be getting visible, if not audible.

Fleetwind shows no visual reaction to the revelation that Shockwave knows, or at least suspects, that the Seeker is already communicating with Starscream. He may just not be surprised. "Starscream's not said anything that contradicts with what I know of the past or the universe, save, perhaps, his timestamp. Going by that, he should have been missing for almost twenty years, although it's possible he did go missing for a brief period and the information didn't make its way to me." Another careful, but truthful 'not yes or no.' It presents the facts as Fleetwind knows them with no assumptions or suppositions on his part.
To Jetstorm he radios, //I recommend you do as he says, Jetstorm. My reality's Shockwave is powerful, intelligent, and dangerous. Since being wrong about the opposite is more detrimental to our survival than being wrong about the same, we're best off assuming this Shockwave is also powerful, intelligent, and dangerous.//
The Seeker doesn't appear have noticed the leaping shark off in the distance, getting slowly closer, but perhaps he's hiding his reaction well.

Fleetwind is being careful, providing information without coloring it with opinion. An intelligent move by the Seeker; if he gives no opinion, he can’t be called out for it later, by either Starscream, or Shockwave. That one so fearful can still think so clearly intrigues Shockwave. This one might be useful.
“And that timestamp would be?” Shockwave would like Starcream’s timestamp, but is more interested in how the jet will interpret the question. “Is the one approaching another time displaced oddity, or a member of the local fauna?” he asks, noting the shark’s approach. Then his name is mentioned on the broadband.
Time to say hello to the group.

He nods slightly in response to Fleetwind, starting to understand the full gravity of the situation. His hands still cling to Fleetwind's arm, as if he's trying to make sure he doesn't get pulled away by the very scary Shockwave.
Jetstorm is still silent, almost in a shy way, as he glances away towards the ocean and at the Shark. Oh. It's him again. JOY. He looks like he should roll his optics if he could.
// Fleetwind, we should get out of here and back to investigating the town. Maybe he'll leave us alone... //

Sky-byte's jumping ceases as he realizes that he's not as far from Jetstorm and Fleetwind...and this Shockwave character as he thought he was. Huh, spoil his fun.
Diving beneath the waves, Sky-byte arrows towards the small group. He stops a dozen meters away, top of his head poking out of the water. How odd. Does this Shockwave have any relation to Eye-fire back at base? Sky-byte emerges from the water some more.
"Greetings! I hope I am not interrupting something," he says, wriggling the rest of his way into the air. He doesn't actually mean his words, but, best be some semblance of the charming shark that he is. With that Sky-byte cruises a bit closer for a better look.

To be thought useful by one such as Shockwave is about the second to last thing Fleetwind wants. The last thing would be to be thought useful for spare parts and nothing more.
It all comes down to a balancing act.
Based on the phrasing and what Fleetwind himself had said, there's really only one answer that Fleetwind can give which makes sense. He provides Starscream's timestamp, one that fits in the mid-80's, just after the end of season 2. Only when Shockwave points out the shark does the Seeker appear to notice it. His gaze darts in that direction, sizing him up quickly, then his focus returns to Shockwave.
"That's Sky-byte. He calls himself a Predacon," Fleetwind says the word as though unfamiliar with it, "and claims that in his reality, Megatron is one as well, and Decepticons are a subgroup of theirs. There is another here that also refers to herself as a Predacon, the one I mentioned already, that Jetstorm recognizes. She, however, is from a later time period, and claims that Predacons are descendants of Decepticons instead."
When Sky-byte actually announces himself, Fleetwind takes his attention off Shockwave long enough to offer the shark a polite nod of greeting. "Greetings, Sky-byte. That's... really not for me to say."
To Jetstorm, he radios, //Jetstorm, I am not just turning my back on Shockwave unless he dismisses me, or I am running away at a very high speed. You just don't do that.//

Also nodding at the shark, Shockwave introduces himself, “I am Shockwave.”
“Interrupting? No. In fact, you may be of assistance, if you like” Shockwave inclines his head toward the power station. “I noted several such stations at regular intervals on my journey from the pole. I am curious if there are some sort of underwater connections from one to another, and if so, what types.” Shockwave’s tone is as even as ever, deliberately phrasing his “request” as such.
“As for you,” he says, his attention now on the Vehicon, “describe the interior of the station, and what caused Fleetwind to have to fetch you from within it.”
Fleetwind should thank the shark. Shockwave is halting his interrogation of the Seeker in favor of research. For now.

Jetstorm whines. No, seriously, he sounds like somebody just smacked him upside the head and is scolding him. // Oh... Man, so running away is out of the option? He's startin' to majorly freak me out. Like, a lot. //
Then the attention is put on him. Now, normally Jetstorm just loves the spotlight. It makes him feel important and all and all sexy (although he doesn't use that word). But when Shockwave stares at him with that one glowing yellow optic... He visibly shivers. "I... I don't wanna. It's scary in there, and tiny and dark. I don't like small places. N'd... And..."
He can't much finish his sentence as that looming machine fills his head again, making him fall silent. He whispers something, possibly softly enough that only Fleetwind can barely hear it, "No... Don't... Don't hurt me again please..."

Hmm an underwater investigation? Sky-byte can appreciate an open-ended request such as that. The floating Predacon swishes his tail thoughtfully as he thinks over Shockwave's words. As enticing as the request sounds, Sky-byte isn't keen on taking orders from random, newly arrived Decepticons. But then again, the chance (he thinks) to earn some brownie points with this rather formidable looking individual would be nice. Not only that but and excuse to spend extended time in the water and such is very very tempting...
Of course he's going to accept!
"That a very...intriguing inquiry. I'd be very willing to and investigate that for you," says Sky-byte with a toothy grin, buttering up every word. "How will this information benefit us?" In other words, 'What do I get out of this?'
