OOC: Xaaron has timed out, going ahead. ---------- "Me Grimlock no think it cause problems. She no seem like she try to boss around me Grimlock, Tracks, or Makeshift."
Grimlock's shoulder sparks a couple of times as he attempts to shrug. He slumps a bit.
"Me hope armor get done soon. Me Grimlock tired of that."

"I'm afraid yours is going to take a bit longer than most of the others, Grimlock, mostly because you've got more of it," Rodimus explains, looking up. He's been directly involved in the repairs, so he has a good idea about the status.
"Even so, it shouldn't be more than another couple of days. We may have to use thinner, temporary armor before we replace it with your usual stuff." The Prime grins. "You've got a thick head, you know."

Emirate Xaaron is not a planetary leader. He's part of a council that leads a mere city-state. Override is, on the grand chain of diplomacy, rather more important than he is. It's a bizarre feeling. He looks away and murmurs, "Not so far."
He brings up one arm across his chest and loses himself in thought while the conversation passes him by.
Should he tell Rodimus Prime? Can he afford to speak of such things to one with Unicron in his stomach? With a demon Prime knocking down their door, can he afford not to?
//You think. You're not sure. You could be setting yourself up to get killed, you know.//

"Of course me Grimlock have thick head! Me Grimlock!" Grimlock's stature goes back to his usual proud posture.
Grimlock looks over at the mostly silent Emirate, then back to Rodimus.
"Anything me need to do? Me Grimlock bored just sitting around."
Though if one was to look close at Grimlock, he'd appear...distracted, is the word, it seems.
He opens a private channel to Rodimus - //Um... This not easy for me Grimlock to say. Me... Want to apologize for not listening about other Rodimus. Me were too mad that him took Slag down, but me should have known better.//
Yeah, Grimlock just apologized.

Rodimus answers Xaaron's radio message. //As opposed to setting everyone up to get killed? Right now 'unsure' seems to be the best chance we'v-//
He breaks off suddenly, then adds to Emirate Xaaron, //Erm. Grimlock just apologized to me for not listening to our warnings about my alternate.// Because Grimlock apologizing is weird and shocking!
He then replies to Grimlock, //Yes, you should have known better. Fortunately, you and Slag both survived, but next time we go up against him, we're going with a plan and we need you two to stick with it, no matter how angry he makes you. Got it?//
And now that he's done jabbering all over the radio, Rodimus can respond using his voice. He looks up at Grimlock from where he's still leaning against the wall of the tunnel and sighs. "In your condition? Not much. You can probably ask Long Haul if he needs help getting the repair supplies to the people they need to go to, but we can't really let you go, well, out until we've got some kind of armor on you, even if it's temporary."
In other words, naked Grimlock parading around Autobot camp is fine. Naked Grimlock parading around the rest of Gillanan III is not acceptable.

//Prime, we don't have anyone who can handle what you carry inside!// Emirate Xaaron snaps, rather cross. //As much as I appreciate an Autobot who will die for his cause, an Autobot who understands when he must live is the wiser one.//
Emirate Xaaron is not wise; he's just a wise guy. He hesitates, but his voice is at his full confidence when he resumes, //When I told Override I was trying to wake up Primus, I wasn't kidding or being metaphorical. If I get close enough to His Face, I can telepathically contact Primus. I can sense lifeforces, but my range is lower than yours. I can't even tell when people are sneaking up on me. I don't know what this makes me, but I do know that Galvatron specifically hunted me down.//
//It might not be the same, it's probably not, but whatever I am, it might be close enough for a dry run. Try to cut me off from whatever I am. When we have some privacy.//
//Grimlock did? Ah, to you.//
Emirate Xaaron is surrounded by people who don't respect him and probably never will. What does he need to, take a point-bank blast from Shockwave to save Grimlock?
He observes, "Helping Long Haul may not be glamourous, but the sooner the medical supplies get to where they need to go, the sooner you get your armour back and scurry off to exciting tasks."

Hey, Grimlock's getting better about the respect thing. Besides, Xaaron wasn't the one who gave Grimlock the order he disobeyed. He sees no reason to apologize to Xaaron.
He looks over at Rodimus - //Me got it.//
Grimlock nods to the suggestion of helping Long Haul when Rodimus suggests it, though Xaaron's addition gets a bit of a strange look from Grimlock, but that's about it.
"Me go find Long Haul, then" he says, and lumbers off back toward medical.
---------- OOC: Out of thread unless stopped.

"All right, Grimlock," Rodimus says to the departing Dinobot commander, waving slightly.
Then he turns back towards Emirate Xaaron and furrows his brow. "Try to cut you off-" his optics widen. "Oh!" He nods, and looks towards the roof. "Ah, yeah, I get you. But you're right - this isn't the place. And besides, I should probably rest first."
He frowns. "We need to get Mirage back. We need to get Airazor and Synapse back in the air." He shakes his head. "We need a way to keep tabs on what they're doing. With this business going on, we can't count on reports."

Emirate Xaaron is pensive. Did he do the right thing is telling this tainted boy Prime about his attributes that science does not easily explain? Is he falling right into Unicron's trap? Emirate Xaaron doesn't think himself anything particularly important, no more so than any other Autobot, more a freak of nature.
Yet Galvatron hunted him specifically down, perhaps on orders from Unicron.
Was it just to decapitate the resistance movement or was it more?
He doesn't know, and he doesn't have time to think about it. He shakes his head. "We also need to review the other differences between our alternates, not just yours, what we need to watch for, and what we can exploit."

Rodimus rubs his chin and thinks. "We should have those who encountered alternate-'Bots to report in and describe their encounters. Beside my alternate, I... pretty much only dealt with 'Cons myself." Then he shifts, narrows his optics, and puts his hand on the floor to brace his weight a little better.
"I'm pretty sure the shot through my head came from their Mirage. I blasted whoever did it with my electroblasts, but I never actually saw them."

Emirate Xaaron notes, "I ran into the alternate Perceptor. He didn't seem to think much of me, but if he was basing his evaluation off my alternate, I'm not surprised. Taunting him was possible, but er... how can I put this? I used, how do they say it? 'Geeky' taunts?" Kids these days.
He pauses and stiffens and then shakes his head. "Botanica and First Aid are topside. They report seeing aerial intruders. I've told them evasive maneuvers. This is too soon, Prime."

Rodimus's optics widen. He seems to have at least replaced the lense of his broken optic, though the uneven brightness, a bit more obvious now than it had been, indicates that repairs are not yet complete.
"We'll need to get back-up out there. A small group, lesson the chance of being spotted leaving the entrance." He stops and narrows his optics, thinking. "Kup's got a team exploring, doesn't he?" So not them. "Who do we have that's not injured?" You'd think that Rodimus would know this better, but really, spend enough time repairing them and they all bleed together.

Emirate Xaaron picks the best times to reveal that he has been up to inane schemes, like baiting the evil Perceptor - the times when there are much more pressing things at hand, and Emirate Xaaron's gallivanting will be quickly forgotten.
He relays, "Botanica says that Starscream says he's not the Starscream we know. Doesn't mean he's not lying, and even if he isn't lying, he might just be another evil Decepticon. I've told her to try to get these Decepticons talking but to try to get out of there."
He rubs one of his shoulders and replies, "I... am not entirely sure as to the status of the injured versus the non-injured."

Clever Emirate Xaaron! Rodimus has totally missed the chance to ask about the whole Perceptor business!
He struggles to his feet. "I could g-" then he frowns. "No, I can't go. At least, not to talk to them. If these are the Decepticons from the same world that the alternate Swerve and Xaaron are from, the... Rodimus they're used to makes me a bad choice to try to negotiate."
"The good news is, based on what Swerve and Emirate Xaaron said, if these are those same Decepticons, they sound like they probably are their universe's 'good guys.'"

"They could be the same Decepticons," Emirate Xaaron replies, "But they could also be a completely different batch of Decepticons. We don't know what the rules are on this world, remember? Wishful thinking will only get us shot."
"If they are the 'good guys', they will forgive us our paranoia. If they aren't the good guys, we won't need to forgive ourself for being foolish."
He brings up one of his hands, and he considers, before ordering, "Get me someone capable and uninjured. I'm going topside." He raises a finger to his lips, as if to hush and objections. "If they are our 'Good Decepticons', they'll find me laughable at best, and if they are anything else, it'll take very good actors for them not to open fire, if their Mayhems have told them anything."
