Hook is hardcore. Once these things are over, Spinister is going to go through all the footage and pull out all the examples of Hook's plans being awesome, Hook's traps doing terrible things to people, and Hook doing ludicrous acts of engineering, make a video of it, and give it to Hook. Except this he won't give anonymously, because he doesn't need Hook having neurotic fits about stalkers. Spinister should tell Hook to show what combat engineers can do more often! It makes for great 'why we obey command' footage,
Fantastic, so now Shockwave is happy, and Needlenose is going to be sulking at him for weeks. Which one of them does he have to work with more often and share a room with? Needlenose.
He looks over at Needlenose's screens for a moment. Looks like Needlenose has something to announce.

Killed by frying. How... unsatisfactory. Barricade's expression, however, as he avails himself of the viewing gallery to watch the other game in progress is studiously composed.
At least until he sidles up within view of a white Berkut that promptly drops out of the sky upon taking a brief burst from Starscream's weaponry.
Well, so much for not laying all the cards on the table at once. And for the privledge of getting shot down by Starscream, at that. How... unsatisfactory.
Barricade sighs and turns his attention to locating his partner in the chaos.

Needlenose glances over as Spinister's game draws to a close, then looks up and dips his head in a nod as Barricade arrives before refocusing on his game.
"Wreckage is out," he observes. "At least until the Null Ray wears off, but considering until then it's Skystrike versus everyone, I see this one wrapping up pretty quickly. Well, they made a good try of it despite the early betrayal."

Shockwave for his part had been focused on Spinister's set of monitors, specifically the one containing Hook up until the Constructicon's jury-rigged repair had failed. It really was fascinating the lengths Hook went to to stay alive just that long enough to give the orders which would insure a victory, even if it was a pyric one. Shockwave has not seen such determination, such dedication, out of anyone in a very long time.
This will require study, oh yes.
Shockwave reminds Spinister, "I do want copies of the footage from both simulations, once they are complete."
He turns at the sound of Barricade's entrance, his optic brightening by just the barest amount. That sigh is telling. Shockwave returns his attention to Needlenose's monitors, though he does radio the Saleen, //Can you all changes your forms in such a manner? Are there restrictions?//

Reality blinks out, and Hellbender finds himself back in his tight coil in the simulation chamber, surrounded by slightly rattled looking teammates and opposition. "We won?"
He sounds slightly surprised; sure, he'd gotten the flag back, but there'd been at least one or two enemies unaccounted for. They could have done something. Then something about the victory announcement registers; there's a name missing.
"Don't you mean Team: Hook, Hellbender and Thrust?" the big worm rumbles.

No sign of Frenzy out there. Either Frenzy's been taken out already, or he's setting everyone up.
This should be good.
// It's a standard ability from our reality, yes, // Barricade replies, still watching the active game. // Mass restrictions. That's why Wreckage went for Skystrike's mode rather than Thundercracker's. //

Wreckage's stride as he makes his way to the staging room/observation deck is almost too deliberate, his footfalls studiously normal, neither too light nor too heavy. Outwardly, he is as quiet and calm as ever. Privately, he is seething. It is not that he was defeated which he finds so vexing; he is a soldier, after all. To fall in combat is inevitable. His discontent is for having fallen without getting the fight he wanted. These fliers are troublesome so long as they can hide behind the distance afforded them by the skies, but they can hardly defend themselves at all once on the ground, in close quarters combat. Why send out soldiers ill-equipped to fight? What sort of army do they have in that world?
The sort that results in a Starscream armed with weapons that knock out an opponent's systems with a single shot, Wreckage notes with great, carefully concealed bitterness.
He enters, twisting his upper body just so as a precaution with this still unfamiliar, temporary new form; he glances around the room and nods acknowledgement of his superiors, jaw firmly set, looking across those standing there – so, Barricade had already been taken out – and the screens depicting the fight still raging in his former territory. Against Starscream and Thundercracker and Sky-byte, with Scourge, Dead End, and Frenzy still out there, Skystrike stands no chance on her own. Hopefully, she at least makes them pay dearly for their victory.

Ah, the prodigal scanner arrives, that cold, far-too-composed gaze sweeping over Barricade when he cants a brief glance toward the door. So subtle, those tight signs of cold fury in the white mech. Too subtle for most, in all likelihood, but Barricade is in the habit of watching for exactly these types of little tics; someone is just as unsatisfied with his participation in these games as Barricade is with his own.
This has promise.
"Nice plummet," Barricade offers evenly, no trace of scorn, not even the smirk he is wont to toss in the Stry- Berkut's direction before he turns back to scan the ongoing game. "Nice form, smooth lines. The cascading rubble distracted from the overall maneuver, though; that hurt your score. I'd give it a seven-two."

And Barricade, prompt as always with the needling. Wreckage is hardly in the mood to abide much of it at the moment; he trundles forward, stopping just behind and to one side of Barricade, and so very idly rests one large grey hand on the smaller Decepticon's head, ignoring the sharp angles pressing into his palm. It might seem an innocuous gesture were it not for the careful exertion of pressure at his fingertips. A small… reminder. Nothing more.

Ah, and now we have the Wreckage. Excellent. Shockwave is unconcerned with the pairs antics. He does note, however, that Wreckage does not seem upset by Barricade's teasing.
To the both of them, Shockwave radios, //An impressive display, Wreckage, though I noted that you are not naturally suited toward an aerial mode. Will you be able to return to your previous alt, or must you choose another?//
//Also, in the near future, I wish to closely examine your physiologies- and Frenzy's as well. This ability...intrigues me.//
He gives Barricade a look at that last, warning against argument. The Saleen would do well to remember that Shockwave is very aware of just how long he and his partner were skulking around, and that their systems were cleaner than they should have been all told. Shockwave has yet to inform Starscream of just how clean.

Scourge slips off to the side a bit, preserving his view but keeping well away from the recently arrived larger robots. He certianly would be interested in eventually looking inside Wreckage, but the reverse was oh so very not true. It wouldn't be too hard for one of the warriors to squash him, really, if he wasn't paying attention.

That warning grip on his head barely phases the Saleen as he continues scanning for Frenzy; he'd expected something of the sort, really, and it gives him a private little thrill of glee-
Which promptly dies at Shockwave's transmission. Frenzy will not like this, and life can get downright... uncomfortable for Barricade when Frenzy is unhappy.
Not that Barricade is any more pleased about this development than Frenzy will be, for the same reason. Or for the thought that anyone else will be poking about his partner's systems. Crimson optics flare for a moment as he shoots a look at Shockwave and catches that look tossed back in his own direction.
Damn. Shockwave had repaired him before, and had gotten a brief look at Barricade's systems then, but not nearly as in depth as the scientist now wants. The Saleen had been expecting something of a request along these lines at some point, but that doesn't mean he has to like it.
At all.
// He's not my pet, // Barricade replies evenly. Barricade can ask on Shockwave's behalf, can even share that it isn't much of a request so much as an order in polite trappings, but, ultimately, the little hellion calls his own shots.

//I am aware of that. But you are...very close. Do pass my request along//
Shockwave returns his attentions to the monitors. Skystrike can do nothing effective. The game is over, despite the lack of formal announcement. It is just a matter of waiting.

Spinister is quiet. Spinister is quiet a lot. If he wasn't purple, pink, and teal, people might forget that he's there. In fact, one might think that the only reason why he has that Primusawful color scheme is so that the rationing officer doesn't forget he exists.
He's going over the data from his sessions and occasionally glancing over at Needlenose's screens. One might think that Spinister hasn't even noticed the influx of new people into the observation room.
One would be quite wrong there, because Hairsplitter and Singe have been up and about, wandering around the room. In fact, Hairsplitter has managed to get a very good look at Barricade's foot, simply by virtue of being about human height.
It reminds Spinister, and he radios Shockwave, //My lord, I meant to mention this sooner, but I needed confirmation. It would be unwise to bring you idle speculation. Barricade has been skulking around our camp, a good while prior his official appearance. I would assume the same of Frenzy, but I have no proof, there.//
Shockwave might note that Spinister does not know about the impure/pure fuel situation. No report was ever made of the findings, after all.
He supposes someone should answer Hellbender, so he does, "Hellbender, Hook died before your victory."

// Understood, // Barricade rumbles tonelessly to Shockwave.
There is an insect thing milling about his feet. There will probably be severe repercussions if he squishes it. This day just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it? One silver talon tip slips between the fingers warningly cupping his head and pricks the center of Wreckage's palm, pressing back with his own hint of warning.
Wreckage had gotten the drop on him once, slowed as he was from bad fuel. He isn't handicapped in such a manner right now, is cranky, and hasn't just blown most of his energy on a scan and mode-shift.
