Needlenose leans forward and makes his final announcement, then shuts down the simulation.
"Well, that's that, I suppose. Not much in the way of unexpected twists, but useful information was gathered, anyway." He looks back over at Spinister. "Recordings already copied to your directory."

//Duly noted, Spinister. I had my suspicions.//
Of course, Shockwave had more than suspicions. He had fact. But no need to let Spinister know that as of yet.
And now the games are finished. Shockwave takes his leave.

Hellbender rumbles wordlessly after Spinister's explanation and turns toward the exit. Hopefully no one is between him in the exit; he's not in the mood to stop. Of course, even though Hook laid out the whole strategy and was the will behind their victory, he no longer counted once dead. It was the Decepticon way of things: death meant you'd failed in a very personal, final way. Decepticons did not care to remember failures.
Hellbender couldn't help but remember the carnage of the futile defense against Unicron. As he slithered down the hall, he wondered if Iceraker and all those others would be as scorned and forgotten as any other Decepticon dead. What about Midnight himself, presumably lost in the battle? Were there even any survivors to remember or forget them?
Hellbender shuddered as he moved down the double-wide hallway; he didn't want to die! The lab doors slid open at his nudge and he slithered in to curl up inside.
The simulated battle showed him a few things: he was severely deficient in combat and needed fixing. Between them, Shockwave and Hook could do it, and do it well. --- OOC: Out of this thread.

//I have no intentions of giving up my prior secondary mode,// is Wreckage's answer to Shockwave's query. Indirect, but explanation enough; he is ever so slightly distracted by the death throes of the game, and his sidelong glance and acquiescent nod to the vice-commander's further request should be all the answer needed. Distasteful though he finds the thought of being poked and prodded for purposes outside repair, it is hardly his place to defy a superior. (An insect is an entirely different matter.)
He lets his hand linger for a few seconds longer, ignoring the slight jab of a talon at his palm. Deny it though he may often try, Wreckage is a being forged in the furnaces of war. He is a creature who, at his spark, thrives on combat and he has had but a taste today, only enough to stoke his hunger without sating it. Energy expended on this new form or not, he will give Barricade a fight if the infiltrator decides to keep pressing him. Barricade is even free to follow him out if he so chooses, but Wreckage is leaving; Shockwave has already departed, the Mayhems seem preoccupied. There is no-one of rank to detain him and there is nothing left to see here.
OOC: Exit Wreckage.

Hairsplitter and Singe wander back to Spinister, Singe to sulk at Spinister's feet and hairsplitter to climb up Spinister's chair. The efficiency expert perches on Spinister's shoulder, in front of the blade and looks at Spinister's processing of the game with some interest. He comments, "Should have used a bigger team size, boss. The games mostly panned out due to solo actions, not concerted efforts. Not a valid test of teamwork, except in planning."
Spinister accepts this criticism. It's why he wanted Hairsplitter, after all. He nods at Needlenose's comment. He'll need to go over everything a few times.
Spinister has to inquire, because information is his business, //Lord Shockwave, what tipped you off with Barricade? I understand that he is something of a shady persona, but I am curious what cues and tells he gave away.//
Lo, Spinister will spend hours slogging through tapes, unless someone distracts him.

With a thoughtful look at the retreating Wreckage, Barricade wanders off in his wake, a vaguely purposeful light in his red optics. ooc: exit Barricade, although anyone sticking around in thread would be able to and welcome to continue watching the simulation room, which barricade wanders into immediately after leaving here.

Scourge has a stop to make here and a request to beseech of the Mayhems. Also, it'll buy Scourge a little time to hopefully get Starscream off his trail. He wants some privacy for when he repays his debt to Dead End.
He pauses near Needlenose and inquires briskly, "Would it be possible to get a copy of the tapes of both games for review purposes? The point of these games was to learn more about our fellow soldiers, here, but my own perspective was extremely limited."
He angered Frenzy, manipulated Sky-Byte, fought Dead End, and he saw Starscream fly around with a flag. Overall, Scourge has some bad gaps in his education from the games.

Needlenose tilts his head and glances back over shoulder-and-wing at Scourge, lowering his wing slightly to do just that. "Possible? Hmmm. Certainly. However..." and he trails off.
To Spinister, he radios, //He is going to be a department head. I suppose that means I've probably got to let him have them?//
Needlenose has gotten in quite enough trouble today without getting in trouble over giving Scourge the tapes, thank you.

Hook has been inside the holo-room, fiddling with the console ever since the simulation ended. Now he exited, passing through the observation room on his way to the rest of the base. Unless someone calls for him, it seems quite likely that he is just going to keep going until he gets to wherever he feels he needs to be.

Spinister reminds Needlenose, //We answer to Starscream alone. Keep that clear. Antagonising command is counterproductive, though. Edit the tapes if you want, but give him something.//
Something catches his expanded field of view, and Spinister swivels in his chair. Voice just a bit louder than usual, he calls, "Lord Hook, you'll get more complete tapes if you want, but I've compiled a tape that you ought to find educational for those warriors who doubt your prowess."
He stands and snatches up a datastick from the terminal in front of him.

//Gotcha,// Needlenose replies to Spinister, then he glances up sidelong at Scourge. "However..." he repeats, "that should be no problem. I've still got to process the data myself, but you should expect the files to be transferred to your directory by tomorrow."

"Yes, I do want more complete tapes." Hook accepts the data-stick, though he does not immediately plug it in. Watching streaming video like that tended to be a bit disorienting, and his 'death' is a little too fresh yet.

"Thank you. See that it is," Scourge replies mildly. He seems friendly, thankful and genial. Needlenose can also expect Scourge to be knocking down his door if the files aren't there. Scourge now has a debt to repay Dead End.
Step brisk, Scourge paces out of the observation room. Exuent Scourge.

Spinister wonders how to phrase this. It has to seem a logical progression of ideas, because Spinister isn't known for being disjointed in his thoughts. He settles on, "Documenting your, ah, exploits did remind me of something, Lord Hook. We need to have a better database for documenting all medical and engineering procedures performed and not just by the ones within your group. If Needlenose uses up a tenth of the stock of carbon fibre making me a new set of blades after a battle, you need to know that, for restocking purposes. There are many unfamiliar designs here and having schematics on file could help avoid accidentally undoing an intentional modification."
All of this seems very mundane and sensible, but what Spinister is gently implying is that even those who don't report to Hook – like Shockwave – should have to report in. It'll give Hook a measure of power, if he can hold people accountable.
What Spinister gets out of this is less obvious. No one expects him to be able to read a medical file. He's fine with that. Let them think it’s just Hairsplitter's desire for efficiency getting to him.
