Nonononono! The flag is getting away!
AGH! That null-signal, rusty, wire-wicking, gear-grinding, glitching pile of dross they called a leader had knocked this low clock-speed eight-bit bulletmagnet off the flag! AGH!
Frenzy scrambles to keep himself on a side of Wreckage that's not being slammed against anything - oh, he hates rolls. "Getimgetimgetimgetim!"
No, he's not actually cheering for either one of them over the other.

Leaving Wreckage alone with Starscream did not settle well with Skystrike, but Thundercracker just took off and Sky-byte just flying out of his hiding place and right into--
Skystrike opened fire at the shark as she pushed off the building. That pitiable blue bastard was her's, dammnit! She transformed a moment later before blasting off after Thundercracker, the anger that'd been boiling in her fuel tanks sending a flare of power to her thrusters. The dark, smoky haze that covered the buildings erupted outwards as she burst out of the smog and after the other seeker, a fading trail of gray swirling violently in her wake.
"Thundercracker!" The infuriated roar was nearly lost in under the thunderous sound of jet engines and fresh laser fire streaking through the air.

Excellent. Wreckage and Frenzy are dealing with Starscream, Skystrike is attacking Sky-Byte. Thundercracker's being pursued, but one of them is attacking the other.
Starscream gets slammed face-down with the powerful Wreckage atop him. It's difficult to move with his blasted wings in the way. He can't aim a weapon. The only option he has is to activate his boot jets once more. Unfortunately, this means his torso is getting scratched and scraped seriously as he moves himself forward. However, it's enough to break free and it means that Wreckage would be caught in the jetwash!

Thundercracker can just hear Skystrike shout his name over the screams of various engines and the snap of gunfire, but he continues onward. Because pausing to ask the Berkut what she wanted is just counterproductive at this point...
He does spare a backward glance to see how close she is. Not as close as he feared -- partly because she's also firing at Sky-Byte. Great, now he had the shark to contend with too, unless he retaliated against Skystrike. If he was lucky, maybe they'd end up fighting each other, though he wouldn't place any bets on that.
He considers making a beeline for the border again to put as much distance between himself and his teammates as he can, but he decides against it and instead circles back around -- partially in hopes of confusing Skystrike and partially because, at this point, the last thing he needs is to be attacked for crossing into another team's territory.

An audible snarl thunders up from the pits of Wreckage's engine, tangling in his vocal circuits, as he tries to fight the pull of Starscream's jets; he cannot allow the enemy to escape, not when he has him like this. But the pin is too weak, his grip not secure, and although the shriek of the Seeker's fuselage scraping the ground as he slides free and the cry as thin metal skin splits where his sword makes shallow contact across one wing are sweet sounds, Wreckage finds no joy in their caress over his audio receptors. Too much pain interfering, jet wash searing his arms, mid-section, thighs, leaving wide swathes of metal blackened and scarred by the heat. He howls in pain and rage, scorching a hand in one last, unsuccessful lunge to grab the escaping Starscream.
Wreckage cycles air slowly to maintain focus and control as he shudders through the fire lancing down his relays and pulls himself first into a crouch, pausing to fire after Starscream, then rises slowly to his feet. Thundercracker, blasting overhead in a low pass – trying to lose Skystrike among the buildings, Wreckage can only assume – earns a second outraged burst of gunfire. Circling back to mock those he has betrayed?
Damn it all. The fight will move to the skies again! Wreckage will have to go to the fight if he cannot keep it here. And self-repair will take too long to recover from the burn; he cannot afford to wait on it. He will not be denied battle and he will not remain useless on the ground while the fliers outpace him. He has to move now.
"Off," he growls to his clutching, unwanted passenger when he realises Frenzy remains. That is all the warning he gives the little hacker before he glares, tracking Skystrike's approach. Once she draws near enough, Wreckage engages his scanners. The data of his current secondary mode is filed away; he is not so fond of the air to make this a permanent change. The impulse is a foolish one, as is any such thing, but the urge to fight is stronger than his reason in the instant it takes for his systems to process the data on the Berkut and assimilate it. Armour ripples, panels shift and reconfigure, wheels separate and vanish, and if Frenzy has not already taken Wreckage's advice, now would be an ideal time to do so. Without further hesitation, the warrior bolts forward, leaps into the air, and transforms. Canards, forward-swept wings, and tail planes lock into place and jet engines roar to newfound life as a conspicuously white and grey Berkut joins the chase.

Not for the last time, Sky-Byte wishes that he had been outfitted with beast-mode firepower. This whole aerial combat thing just isn't going to work if he actually has to keep up with these jets!
A pained roar escapes out of the shark's mouth as laser-fire makes contact with his dorsal side. Sky-Byte twists around and glares at the sight of Skystrike taking off into the air after Thundercracker. "Hey, back off! He's fair game!" Undeterred and perhaps with a little more persistence now that he's been shot at, Sky-Byte gives chase after--that is, until he notices a certain new flier that he's never seen before join in. The color-scheme is familiar, but there is no way...
His thoughts break off from wondering about the new flier as Thundercracker comes back around. Sky-Byte makes a bee-line for the blue seeker, jaws wide open ready to slam down as he pours as much speed as possible into his flight.

Wreckage ordering him off just makes Frenzy cling all the harder-
Until he sees Wreckage scanning the friendly-to-Wreckage jetdame, and then all bets are off. And so is Frenzy, thanks much. He wouldn't sit on Barricade making his first transformation into a new form, and he's sure as shooting not doing it to Wreckage.
This pretty much leaves the little spy on the ground grumbling to himself as everyone else takes off for an upper air battle. At least he gets under cover before anyone tries to take potshots at him. Like Wreckage.
"They gonna do that, find some trouble elsewhere," he mutters to himself as he wanders off to see if he can make the trains run.

Skystrike snarls, ailerons and canards flexing as she executes an almost impossibly sharp turn to intercept Thundercracker, pelting the other seeker’s side and rear with more laser fire. Confusion was the last thing on her mind; she’d already decided what she wanted to do with Thundercracker and now it was simply a matter of catching him. Which should be easy to do now since the other jet’s turn had let her use her agility to her advantage—
Starscream was free from Wreckage’s grasp it seems, but that wasn’t what made her almost falter and stall in midair. It was the sight of a strangely familiar white and gray jet rising from the smoke that caught that nearly did it. Was that…?
Then Sky-byte joins the fray, dragging Skystrike’s attention back to the situation on hand. She launches two missiles at Thundercracker. Had to concentrate on fighting right now. She'll have time to think about other things later.

Starscream began to make chase after Skystrike, abandoning Wreckage on the ground. He opened laser fire on Skystrike... wait a minute. Is that.. Wreckage following behind him?
"Since when can you turn into a jet?!" The gray F-15 intones, perplexed. He's not abandoning chase, he's not even overly distracted. Starscream wondered just how many other ways those multiple pieces on Wreckage's frame could be re-arranged to form a different alt-mode.

Were he in robot mode, Thundercracker would wince at the sting of Skystrike's gunfire peppering his rear and wing. Block it out, focus on getting away, focus...
And every process in his CPU terminates in a startled "Whaa...?" as Wreckage goes airborne. The white mech had never said he was a triple changer! Nor did his alt form give any hint that he was one -- usually you could tell from a mech's build and kibble if he was a triple-changer or not...
His brief gawk-break costs him his precious lead, and his confusion dissolves into an explosion of pain as Sky-Byte slams into him, jaws locking onto his right wing. Screaming in pain, he drops a short distance before regaining control. Then Skystrike's missiles streak by, just barely missing him.
"Fraggit!" he swears, and he does a barrel roll in hopes of throwing Sky-Byte off. He also drops again, this time purposely, in hopes of losing his pursuers among the buildings. Maybe he can get close enough to scrape off his newly gained remora at the same time...

It should be noted that Wreckage, while capable of scanning an airborne secondary mode, is not capable of putting it to full and proper use. He may have taken many different forms over the millenia, but each and every one was a ground unit; he is not and never will be a flier. The mode is simply a tool to keep him in the fight somehow.
Because it is so unnatural to him, being in the air makes him feel unwieldy. Unbalanced. He knows the parts of his new body, but how to use them… that is something he could only learn with practise, and there is no time for that. Sky-byte has latched onto Thundercracker and the Seeker is taking them both earthward; Starscream is ahead, shocked but not enough to be caught off-guard as Thundercracker had been. Wreckage answers Starscream's question with a burst of machine gun fire – down to only the twin .30 calibres in this mode – before cueing his radio again, latching onto the other Berkut's frequency.
//I will try to take the other two to ground,// he growls. They are well on their way already. //Take Starscream. I cannot.// It would be even more foolish of him than anything else so far to deny his inability to face any Seeker on equal footing in the air. Sky-byte's interference will make this less of a handicap, and once Wreckage gets them out of the air, he will give them both all the careful attention his enemies deserve.
That in mind, he banks sluggishly and dives after the shark and its chew toy. His awkwardness counterbalances the quick, sensitive reactions of this body, so he cannot follow every darting manoeuvre Thundercracker makes. He beelines after the Seeker instead, opening fire when he has an open line; if he can draw near enough – and he pours on the speed to catch up – he will transform and tackle the enemy tangle into the nearest available solid surface. Building face, roof, street, he cares not. He is certain… yes. Yes, of course his swords remain. He will make full use of them yet.

Skystrike's missiles almost send Sky-Byte swerving off-course. But with his goal this close, he'd be a fool to. Onward he plows.
If there's anything that a shark has to its advantage it is some form of bite power. Also, unlike Sky-Byte's more organic counterparts, his teeth aren't going to to be falling out into Thundercracker's plating. So any tossing and turning the jet does only causes Sky-Byte to clamp down further. The unfortunate part of this is that if Thundercracker struggles enough and if his own bite gets too hard, there might be a chance of the wing ripping off--which would rid Thundercracker of his 'giant remora', albeit painfully.
A growl forms as his dorsal side buffets against buildings and walls shatter. There's a reason Sky-Byte doesn't indulge in concrete-swimming too often and the pained growl rumbling from the shark's throat signals as much. "Okay, flyboy. You're not the only one that can fly here!" Sky-Byte snarls around his mouthful of wing. "Just hand over that flag and nobody--urk--gets hurt!"
With that Sky-Byte begins to thrash in an attempt to jerk Thundercracker around a bit. But these efforts are interrupted by laser-fire and he stiffens in surprise. What?!
"Back off! He's mine!" The shark turns to face his newest adversary, glaring furiously. But that also means that he just let go of his high-flying, blue prize...

Skystrike hisses at the sensation of laser burning through her side and tailfin and pulls sharply up and out of Starscream’s line of fire. She hears Wreckage over the radio and silently agrees. He wasn’t experienced enough to go head to head with the air commander, one could tell by the ungainly way that the white mech moved through the air. It would be nice to have a wing mate right about now though, but she’d just have to deal with that wouldn’t she?
The berkut arced in the sky, rolling onto her side as she prepares to open fire at Starscream once more…
Then, Needlenose’s voice announces Scourge’s victory.
Her shots go intentionally wayward. The blue jet pulls up sharply again, putting a safe distance between her and Starscream, enough to see if he’d turn around and attack in any way. It was probably a move that she was going to regret very soon, but now that Starscream’s team had been defeated it was a good time for trying to negotiate. Her team wasn’t winning the game by fighting head-on after all, especially since one of their fliers had deserted them: now came the opportunity to gain new comrades. And maybe a regain one of their own –Thundercracker was good at distractions after all, even if he was useless otherwise.
//Starscream, sir?// Skystrike sounded tense, ready to move out of the way should the F-15 open fire once more. It wouldn’t be the first time she’d had to reach some sort of deal while fighting someone. //One of Scourge’s teammates is with Wreckage and Thundercracker. We can capture him and interrogate him for the location of his team’s flag.// Hopefully, the prospect of petty revenge would make their leader more willing to join. And of course, the Air commander gets to do the ‘interrogation’. That goes without saying.

Thundercracker hears the announcement that Starscream's team has disbanded and curses loudly. Fragitall... his luck has just been lousy from the day he onlined in that slagging mine shaft...
He doesn't make a decision on where to go from here just yet -- he has to get away from Wreckage and Sky-Byte first. Luckily, he feels the shark's death-grip on his wing loosen as he mouths off to the white jet, and he's able to jerk that wing out of reach.
Unluckily, Wreckage is right on his aft again...
