Day 11, ask before joining please.
It is quiet above the mountains that house the Howling Mine. The only sound is the howling of the wind through the jagged rock, causing quite an eerie noise, even for a Cybertronian...But there was one Decepticon who did not care, who chased away the howling with the thunderous roars of his own engines.
Scanners and sensors are taking in every detail that they can 'see', relaying the information back into the purple bomber's mind. The sight of the mine gave him a brief shimmer of hope, remembering the Earthen cave system where Megatron had been waiting, building...But then that shimmer is crushed first by the sight of the base resting on the mountain range, and the knowledge of who are hiding there second.
With a simple mental command the purple behemoth twists around until he is once again in his true form, hovering down to the ground and landing with quite a thud, a few tiny rocks jumping up from the tremors as if they were startled. Lugnut says nothing else to Skystrike, not even a 'thank you' for bringing him here, shutting down the defenses and the opening of the door. No, instead he walked into the entrance tunnel, ducking a bit to fit, grumbling.
"Inferior pests, can not even find a proper cave system or build a base large enough to fit all warriors...The great and glorious Megatron would be outraged at this pathetic display of a lacking insight and engineering!" His grumbling slowly quiets down as he walks around, searching for Starscream and Shockwave for a nice, good talk.

Lugnut should not have issues with fitting once he is within the tunnels proper. Hellbender dug them out to accommodate the largest of them, after all, and Shockwave himself is not small.
Nor should the zealot need to wander too far to find at least one of his targets. Shockwave, already warned of Lugnut's arrival, is likewise heading toward the base entrance. New arrivals must first pass the various security checks, and make a trip through medical, after all. As this one is a name unknown to Shockwave, he would prefer that Lugnut's time roamnig free prior to such be limited.
In that, Starscream and Shockwave should actually agree.
OOC: Not upon Lugnut just yet. However, once Starscream posts in, either of them may notice the big purple guy at their leisure.

Indeed Starscream does agree. Starscream has already dealt with one lunatic in a cave since arriving here. He's not going to make it two for two. Therefore he's more than happy for Shockwave to take point. As they wend their way down the tunnel, Starscream gets the opportunity to take note of the large purple cyclops waiting for him in the corridor. "Interesting build design." He remarks quietly, forgetting he's currently entering with the other large purple cyclops. As they get close enough to talk, Starscream smiles. "Welcome, Lugnut, to Gillnan III. I am Starscream, leader of the Decepticons--and sundry--that have found themselves here.

Lugnut was taken aback by how different these two looked when compared to the Starscream and Shockwave that he knows. The proportions are all wrong, not to mention that they are far more colorful, the traitorous mongrel in particular!
When the flier in question started speaking, Lugnut couldn't help but growl in annoyance. He stays silent never the less, listening to him, though an odd grinding noise came from his mouth. By the great lord Megatron, the voice of this version is even more grating then that of the one that he knows!
At 'Decepticon leader' he finally has enough, his growl deepening as he walks past the arrogant usurpant, secretly hoping that he was close enough to at least shove him against the wall with his shoulder. Lugnut only stops when he stands right in front of Shockwave, his red optic staring into Shockwave's own yellow one before finally speaking. "The Shockwave I know is no more then a simple lowlife infiltrator! In the name of the glorious Megatron, I demand an explanation for why you took over along with that traitor!"

Shockwave crosses his arms over his chest, fingers rubbing the bottom of his optic casing while Lugnut sputters. Oh dear, they really do have one of those now, do they not? Ah well, they have gone this long without any true fanatics. Perhaps Primus decided they were overdue.
"Then the Shockwave you know is a poor bearer of the name," he says calmly, and the voice is likely more familiar-if a bit more formal- to Lugnut than Shockwave's form. His hand strikes out, cupping Lugnut's jaw and slamming the zealot back against the tunnel wall. His gun arm comes up and he just rests the tip on Lugut's chest.
"As for why we two lead, it is because we are the strongest and most capable here," Yes, Starscream, you just got a compliment from Shockwave. Do not get used to it. "However glorious your own Megatron may or may not be, there is none by that name here. Nature abhors a vacuum, my friend, and we have filled it. Such is, after all, the Decepticon way."
Shockwave tilts his head slightly toward Starscream, "Would you care to explain how poorly we take to newcomers demanding things of us? I do not know about you, but I am becoming rather tired of it."
OOC: Manhandling of Lugnut done with permission.

Yet again Starscream is brushed aside.
As Shockwave's prompt, Starscream gets up. Fists clenched and resting on his hips, he says very quietly: "Perhaps you have someone who shares my name where you come from. That does not tell you a thing about me. Not that you are going to have the opportunity to find out, because if you cannot calm yourself and have an open mind to the situation we all find ourselves in, I have matters to take care of, and it will be Shockwave who has to see about your punishment in my leave.
"But I will forget that little outburst happened, in the name of a fresh start. Hello. I am Starscream. Your leader."

Well, Lugnut should have seen that coming. He is still surprised at the sheer strength that this Shockwave just showed though, actually taken back by it, which is one of the reasons why he didn't just unleash the Punch on them. Wouldn't be the first time that he was stupi-brave enough to use it in a mining tunnel, or even when having a weapon pointed at him.
The other reason is that he's actually listening to what Shockwave is saying, despite his stubborn growls, the glow in his optics softening just enough to show that he is willing to-operate. "So it is, though never forget..." He looks at Starscream from his side optics, trying to ignore that aggrivating voice as he keeps his attention on the purple cyclops. "...That the Decepticons only exist to serve the all-powerful Megatron, no matter what world we find ourselves on."

Shockwave sighs inwardly as Lugnut not only still ignores Starscream but continues to expound upon the virtues of Megatron. "Perhaps that is the case in your reality, but you will find that some realities do not even have a Megatron, or their Megatron is fallen."
"We make our own way here. It would be...prudent of you to be a bit more cautious of others. A familiar face or moniker can hide very...different abilities. And loyalties."
Shockwave still has not released Lugnut. Shockwave is not fully convinced that the brute will not do something rash.

Starscream is about three seconds away from blasting Lugnut. There is no the Megatron, all-powerful or otherwise! There's at least three different Megatrons besides the ones that Starscream and this new guy know. And even though Shockwave knows the 'same' one, even then they have their notable differences.
For now, he waits with rapidly diminishing patience for Lugnut to actually acknowledge him, blankly staring at the bulky cyclops, mentally commanding him to turn around as much as he possibly can.

Inwardly Lugnut is revolted at what Shockwave said, wanting to punch his processor in at his words, but even the thickheaded zealot realizes that doing so won't exactly be a smart move. Instead he lets what Shockwave said sink in, mulling on it, though that annoyed growl didn't go away quite yet.
"I...Understand." He looks up at the purple cyclops as best as he could in his position, his body-frame relaxing, not even getting the urge to attack Starscream when he notices him standing there again."So you are able to silence yourself. More then I can say of the Megatron defying mongrel that I know!" Well, no urge to psychically attack the Seeker. Snapping at him is still fair game in Lugnut's mind. What can he say? Old grudges are so hard to shake off.

As Lugnut's words and body seem to indicate a desire to cooperate for the moment, Shockwave relaxes his grip upon the zealot's jaw, stepping back. And then Lugnut continues to insult Starscream.
This? This is Shockwave actually facepalming.
It is not, you see, that Shockwave actually cares that Starscream is being insulted. Far from it. After all, Shockwave insults Starscream on a regular basis, and often to his face. But the two commanders have a mutual respect of sorts for each other's abilities. They also know that push past a certain point, and there will be more than words between them.
Lugnut, however, either is unfamiliar with the particular pain of a null ray, or is a bit of a masochist. Either way, Shockwave takes a discreet couple of steps back. He would prefer not to get caught in the possible crossfire.

In response to Lugnut's continued belligerence, Starscream insinctively draws up a null ray. Before firing, he pauses for a moment as he said earlier that he wasn't going to be the one to punish him.
He lowers his weapon and says, through gritted teeth, "Well, fortunately for me, I have some time to see the beginnings of this. Let us hope it will hold."
He turns to his 2IC, mildly surprised that they are agreeing so much on this. "When you are ready, Shockwave."

Lugnut watches Starscream prepare to fire, his arm reconfiguring in preparation to strike back...The only problem being that the attack never comes. His arm cools down again, an almost unnoticeable look of surprise on his strange face, his optics keeping both of them in sight.
However, at Starscream's words even this thickheaded zealot realized that he might have gone to far. He knows what his Shockwave is capable of, what the double agent would do when he wanted something and how far he is willing to go to obtain it. And there is something...Off about this one, not to mention that Lugnut isn't stupid enough to let himself get tortured needlessly, unless the Great One commands it of course!
The sound of grinding gears come from inside his mouth as he thinks, considering his options, before turning to Shockwave, though he kept his gaze on the Seeker as well. "Did he prove himself worthy to..." He falls silent for a few seconds, trying to force the next part out, disgusted at himself for even being open to the idea of multiple Great Ones! "...His Megatron? If he did, then you will have me as a soldier in your army."

Shockwave supports Starscream at the moment because a zealot of any kind is always a danger, and Lugnut needs a severe attitude adjustment before being allowed to wander freely about their base.
Shockwave glances over at Starscream. "Interesting. My own Starscream would never have passed up an opportunity to inflict pain. Another point toward the differences between realities, I suppose."
Ah, Lugnut appears to have been hit by a stroke of sense. Unfortunately, Shockwave imagines this is a case of too little, too late. He turns his attention back to Lugnut.
"It is my understanding that he did. He was Megatron's second, just as my own Starscream was." Note the absence of key information here. "However, I am afraid that, at this point, you have pushed him beyond the point of letting this encounter slide with a mere slap upon the wrist." As he talks Shockwave points his canon arm at Lugnut, and fires a concentrated shot aimed at one of the brute's shoulders. It is a cautious shot, but Shockwave has his reasons. "Tell me, before this goes much further, do you possess a laser core, a spark, a brain module, or otherwise, and if you happen to run on something other than energon. I do not want to accidentally explode a reactor, you see."

Starscream is waiting and waiting for the day where Shockwave will finally fully realize that he is not the same as the one he knows.
Starscream folds his arms to enjoy the show. "Of course I did. Something that you never bothered to check before you ran off at the vocalizer. In my generosity I tolerated your disloyalty, to get used to th notion of being in such strange circumstances. It's not something all of us were afforded. Which you then squandered with misconceptions, and disrespect for the Decepticon cause. What would Megatron think of your actions?" Note he just said Megatron, not 'your' Megatron. "If he has anything resembling true Decepticon justice, then you know you have no choice but to honour his cause and accept this punishment for your insubordination."
