Emirate Xaaron can respect a certain tenseness about an Autobot. It is certainly better than laxity. He folds his hand on his lap, and begins. "At the dawn of time, there were many gods, massively powerful beings beyond our understanding. Unicron, a god of darkness and chaos, devoured everything, and thinking that only he remained, he fell asleep, in the void."
Emirate Xaaron's optics twinkle slyly. "But Unicron was wrong, of course. Some gods of light ha survived or grown up while he slumbered. One of them was Primus, and He was chosen to fight Unicron."

Wheelie for all his tenseness, still does retain some childlike tendencies. One of which, of course, is a love of storytime.
A being capable of destroying everything? It defies his imagination. Wheelie's barely used to the idea of planets and anything beyond immediate survival.
"Did Primus go out and win his fight? Or was he banished, back into the night?"

"Ah, Primus was not quite a match for Unicron, power for power, but He was clever. He saw that their battle was destroying the life He sought to protect, so Primus hatched a cunning plan. He tricked Unicron into inhabiting a barren asteroid, but as a result, Primus was also trapped in an asteroid. Unicron transformed his asteroid prison into a Transformer so massive that it could eat planets!" Emirate Xaaron spreads his arms wide, rather animatedly.
"This would simply not do. So Primus made His own asteroid prison into the planet Cybertron, and He gave birth to us, the Transformers. Primus made us to fight Unicron one day and rid the universe of Unicron's evil."

Wheelie is, of course, not descended from the line of Primus the way Autobots from Emirate Xaaron's reality are. If anything, he's descended from the original Quintesson product, albeit by means of the colonists of Antilla1.
Wheelie nods, then looks thoughtful for a moment. "There's one little thing that Wheelie ain't got. How can we win, where a god could not?"
--- 1The Autobot colony from Cosmic Rust. Seriously. The ancient Autobot recording speaks in rhyme. IT ADDS UP!

Emirate Xaaron picks up a rock - just a normal rock, not a magic Cybertron rock, and he explains, "I can be hard to break this rock by just bashing it with brute force." He smacks it against one of the tunnel walls. "But with considerably less effort, more delicately applied..." He runs a finger along the rock and then jams it into a crevice, wrenching the rock apart.
"You see? Primus gave us the Matrix, His concentrated essence, to combat Unicron, but each of us contain some of His essence, and with the correct leverage..."
"It is a better strategy than putting all His energon cubes in one crate, anyway."

Wheelie smiles at the explanation. Not unlike how a single seemingly insignificant minibot could be a continued thorn in the sides of the Quintessons for countless years. Just on a bit more cosmic a scale.
"There are too many, he can't get us all, get right in the middle... and then watch him fall?"

For every Goliath, there is a David. Wheelie is a sharp little fellow, isn't he?
Emirate Xaaron nods. "Indeed. However, when Primus made the first of our kind, He was too weak to hope to face Unicron, should battle come again. Primus and Unicron have a psychic bond, that is... they can tell where the other one is, if they are awake. So Primus went to sleep, to allow Himself time to recover and His creations to mature."
"So our people had our beginning, in my universe."

Wheelie is far too clever for his own good sometimes.
He considers what Xaaron had said, especially about how Primus had created all the Transformers of that universe. Only something does not quite add up.
"But wait, one question, before we go on... If Primus made them, why are there Autobots and Decepticons? Should not he have made, but one team of 'bots? To make two and set them to war, sensible it is not."

Emirate Xaaron's optics twinkle, and he continues to spin his tale, "While Primus slept, the first Transformers made more of themselves. I'm..." he frowns, "not sure how." He can't remember, and it troubles him, sometimes. "We lost his original message to us, as it got gargled as it was passed from machine to machine. Some of the first suffered accidents. Some of them were lost. Some were killed, as hatred grew in our souls. Either way, many of us forgot our origin, forgot our true purpose. We grew complacent, as we built cities across the face of Cybertron and states grew up around the cities."

Wheelie can't remember his own origins, but he's also several generations removed from Cybertron itself, even if it is a different Cybertron. But it's impossible to say how he'd reconcile the different between godly offspring and a product line.
"And that's when it happened, when the bad guys first came? The first time, when evil had a name?"

Emirate Xaaron notes soberly, "Evil has always had a name. Unicron! This is not say that all evil done is done in Unicron's name. There are many kinds of evil, petty and insidious, appalling and sadistic, chilling and furious. However, evil has always been, and even when Unicron is gone, evil will always be. It is up to each and everyone to combat evil right where it starts - inside of us."
He places a hand over his chest, where an Autobot symbol might rest of he wore such a thing.
"As I was saying, the city-states started to grow, and as their borders neared each other, they grew competitive. Each city state wanted to say that it was the very best, that its people were superior. For a time, we defrayed tensions with State Games." He speaks as if from personal experience now. "Each city-state would send its finest athletes to compete against athletes from other city-states in various sports and ritual combat."

Leaving the philosophical arguments aside for the moment, Wheelie frowns more deeply at the explanation of the ritual combat. Even with defraying the aggression of the various factions, something about it struck him as being quite plainly wrong.
"Fighting should not be done for sport or fun," he says, after a moment, but with steely determination. "Fight to protect, fight to survive, fight because that's how you stay alive. But don't make it a game, life's no joke, don't deal out violence with a casual stroke."

Emirate Xaaron quirks an optical ridge, and he chides, but gently, "That is a bit narrow-minded of you, Wheelie. I understand that you are from a... unique background. However, in organised societies, people quite often practise martial arts for reasons other than hurting people."
Would you catch Emirate Xaaron at a martial arts dojo? Probably not. Does he acknowledge that they exist and make some people happy? Yes. Just because he doesn't like them does not mean that he wants to see them destroyed. He can accept alternate opinions and ways of life when they do not threaten the freedom of opinion and way of life of others.
"Self-defense, for some. To sharpen the mind and reflexes for others. Just because they study combat doe not mean that they have any desire to harm people. Indeed, a number of martial arts stress searching for a non-violent solution, such as fleeing, first."
And then there are people like Bludgeon.

Wheelie nods, seeming to accept this answer for the moment. It made sense, for the most part at least. His understanding of civilization was rather limited. The notion of great numbers of people being able to live and work together is simply mind boggling.
"This peace didn't last, that's that I think. The time of peace, it was starting to shrink?"

"Peace lasted quite a while. Longer than many civilisations. Longer than many species. However, it did falter, as tensions grew between the city-states. Vos and Tarn, militant city-states both, had never gotten along well. Vos belonged to Starscream and Tarn to Shockwave. It may not shock you to know that Starscream and Shockwave are Decepticons now."
"Tensions came to a head at the State Games. Vos and tarn annihilated each other, and from the ashes, an athlete named Megatron rose to lead the destitute and dispossessed refugees. We dismissed Megatron as a crank, at first, but we were so very wrong..."
Emirate Xaaron has kicked himself so many times over for dismissing Megatron when he could have been crushed easily.
