The crackle and roar of flames, the thrum of distant jet engines in the air blend into a haze of white noise for the Junkion. Unfortunately concealing white noise, and she doesn't realize how much she could be missing under the din she doesn't even register as being loud.
The brilliant red lights of the fire make the shadows even darker and more concealing. The contrast is too much for most eyes, and while Pee-Dee's eyes are good at picking out a Junkion from junk, that rarely involves such varying light-conditions.
Of course, even if she were inside a blank orange cube with the Mayhem, she'd have a hard time spotting Spinister if he didn't want to be spotted.
---
"This is a whole new world," Pee-Dee muses. "The Decepticons can't be the same as the ones we've got back home. Ooh, maybe we can find Kup a pretty carboy!"
Kup had done her such wonders, opened her mind to so many possibilities in her little trip to Cybertron. It was nice to get him things he would like as a sort of repayment.
Though, admittedly, Kup wasn't anything like Skyfire when it came to pretty things. So maybe she'd just need to return to her original thought of cajoling Swerve.
A pity he went and ran off. With the Emirate, too!
She transforms into her motorcycle form and nuzzles her chromed front against Nightbeat's hip. Wanna ride?

Huh. Nightbeat will swear they're being watched. No real reason for it, the city's an absolute ghost town. And yet... Wasn't at least one of the Decepticons supposed to have some kind of cloaking technology? He may have a holographic memory, but he makes connects in such a cross-wired fashion that accessing that information isn't always easy.
Besides, it's hard for the logical portion of his mind to function when Pee-Dee's engaging other parts of it. He swings a leg over her and climbs on. "Let's roll, dollface."

Blast, with Bluestreak steadily approaching Spinister's hiding spot, either by chance or intention, Spinister going to be forced to move. Moving is a great way to get given away. Being walked into is an even better way, so he'll take the lesser of two evils.
These three seem to be moving with some amount of intent and determination. That is as open and invitation to follow as any Spinister will ever get, vampire at the threshold as he is.
Spinister is rumoured to possess a cloaking system, but it has never been confirmed. His medical files in the Decepticon database make no mention of it. Decepticons wouldn't lie, would they?
Spinister scuttles off to another hiding spot, down the way that the Autobots seem to be headed. He's quiet, but under the crackle of the blaze, there might be sound of phantom footfalls - or perhaps they are merely falling timbers.
When the Autobots get there, they just might notice dome dried leaves, with no one to sweep them away, that have been crushed, as by a heavy, metal footfall. Perhaps some ominous music will cue up in Pee-Dee's head.
They are not alone.

Bluestreak doesn't see anything out of the ordinary -- but then, being just a gunner and not a scout or tracker of any kind, he doesn't look as hard as he probably could. Not finding anything of interest, he finally just collapses into Datsun mode and prepares to follow the cop and gangster. Wherever they go, he hopes they find some action...

Pee-Dee hums as Nightbeat climbs onto her, then takes off sharply towards the portal. It's not a smooth ride; it's impossible for something with spiked wheels to give a smooth ride on a metal road. But it's fast, and her engine purrs as sweetly as anything as she goes.
Too bad about the lack of handle-bars, but she did so hate it when people tried to steer.
The landscape flashes by, and it would have taken an actual Decepticon standing on those levels fully visible for her to notice. Smatters of images stick in her mind, too fast to fully take in any individual one. They flowed together into an intelligible whole, and that was good enough at speed.
There was the portal!

Even when riding a hot chick, fighting not to fall off and bang his valuable head open, Nightbeat is a master of observation. And something is rotten in the state of Praxus.
"Something ain't right about dis."

Let Denmark rot.
Spinister stays hidden in the darkness of the alley until he can no longer hear the ping-ping-ping of spike on metal or the tread of foot. Once those sounds have faded, he peers around the corner of the alley, still cloaked, just in case an Autobot happens to look back. Handily enough for Spinister, one of the Autobots he is stalking happens to leave a very clear trail. Spiked wheels will do that. Bless the Junkions.
Of course, he has heard the cease-fire order handed down from Starscream. He'd like to put shots through each and everyone one of them, but for now, he must be content with watching.

Back at the portal, Bluestreak rolls to a halt, though he remains in Datsun mode for the time being. He finds that people are less likely to try and initiate conversation with him if he's in his vehicle mode. Not that many Autobots try chatting it up with Bluestreak at this point. It's about as entertaining as trying to coax information out of a brick wall.
He doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary, and Nightbeat's concern only earns a snort.

Pee-Dee stops as soon as she registers Nightbeat's words. Well, not immediately, since she doesn't want to send the gangster catapulting over her windshield. "Yeah?"
Her front wheel twisted from side to side as she looked around the street. "Got an idea of what?"

Nightbeat is very grateful not to be thrown over the handlebars. That only has to happen to a guy ten, fifteen times before he wises up.
"Something was, or still is, followin' us. Lots of little signs. Somebody's playin' hunter."

Spinister cannot hear their conversation. He's down a while back, in a darkened alleyway.
He runs scenarios though his head. Spinister still hasn't found Duskwing. He won't, if he continues hiding in an alleyway.
It's time to move. He clambers up a fire escape attached to the side of one building. If the Autobots double back and check, they'll find the fire escape slightly jostled, some fresh metal showing where there should be rust, but they won't find Spinister.
He stealthily moves roof-top to roof-top, keeping his body low and avoiding the burning buildings, ready to hit the deck at any time. Bit by bit, he follows the trail of the marks in the road left by the motorcycle.

A hunter, Nightbeat says. Well, whoever they are, they can keep tracking their party, in Bluestreak's opinion. He wants a fight, and he wants it bad. If they are indeed being tracked, then maybe whoever-it-is will attack shortly and some real action can begin.

You can bet that after the first two or three times, any catapulting onto the street in front of Pee-Dee was on purpose.
Hunters weren't good. Hunters could reach out and touch the Autobots with pricks of laserfire. Decepticons back home weren't prone to doing that in a dangerous way, but there were more than Decepticons out there in the dark. "Hold on tight then. Let's not give them an opening."
She may not fear guns, but a shot going the wrong place on Nightbeat...
The Junkion's engine roars as she takes off for the portal; does she even have a muffler?

Hey, he's not saying he didn't enjoy it.
"Not many 'cons who'd be good enough to pull something dis fancy out. And not many of dose with enough firepower to do it 'right,'" he considered.
And more importantly, though he'd never say it out loud, those guys that were were also good enough shots to shoot Pee-Dee's tires out from under her. And then? Well, then he'd have to send 'em to sleep with the sharkticons.

Spinister-3 never, ever shoots to kill. As it so happens, Spinister does, all the time. He won't be shooting at all right now, due to the ceasefire, but he wouldn't aim for the tyres on a Junkion. He'd go for the torso first, then the head. Mostly, likely, he wouldn't aim at the Junkion at all and instead would aim the ones he knows will stay down when he puts them down.
He continues to creep over rooftop. There are close calls, times when he nearly caves in a roof. However, he is Spinister, and he is good at what he does. Before long, he can see portal. Spinister gazes at in fascination. It rather reminds him of some technology back home, but it's clearly different.
Okay, the Decepticons have to know about this.
