Actually, Rodimus wasn't thinking about their own Swerve and expectations based on him so much as he was the idea that this Swerve might not feel comfortable in publicly giving away personal information among not-friends. Strange new world and all that.
The Prime leans back a little on his desk, then turns his attention to Perceptor, interested in what the scientist has to say... but ready to demand the Cliffnotes version should he think it necessary. They've got a lot to do, after all, and a lot to prepare for.

Perceptor watches Swerve exit hurriedly, a deeply thoughtful expression on his features which he then turns on Xaaron and Rodimus. How curious. This Swerve's frequency does not match their own Swerve's frequency. Granted, he could have substituted a new frequency for security or privacy reason, however, Perceptor has the sneaking suspicion that he has not.
How curious.
He remains silent for a long moment, considering this, as well as paring down what he has theorized or determined into a compressed format; he's well aware that while Xaaron has never been known to rush him and always seems to follow his detailed explanations, Rodimus has neither patience nor inclination to endure a lengthy dissertation. An abbreviated explanation is better than an interrupted one, he decides. He can discuss further with Xaaron if the Emirate has additional questions afterward..
"The device which I constructed is meant to traverse the barriers that separate and protect the various continuities within a base reality," he finally begins without preamble. "Think of each base reality as a... a crystal point. Each facet of this crystal reflects a different continuity of reality - my own on one face, yours on another, Bumblebee and Jazz's on yet another - and yet, they are all bound into the same base structure represented by the crystal - the base reality." Look! He's using examples to illustrate! And examples that don't require a physics degree to grasp! Be proud of him Rodimus. He's really trying, honest.
"Based upon what little information we have gathered thus far, this Xaaron and Swerve have slipped the barrier between an entirely different base reality and our own. A different crystal altogether, if you will. My portal unit was not intended to do such, however... it is possible that there had been some sort of, as yet undetermined, convergence between the two. As if two corresponding points in the same locations of each base reality shifted into a moment of perfect alignment, thus facilitating a... a fracture of those boundaries, which both portal units in combination, through that convergence, used to puncture a hole through which they traveled."
"If my theory is correct, disabling the portal unit which I have constructed should prevent such an occurrence from repeating itself in that manner again."
He pauses then, and his expression is quite grave as he continues, "However... Based upon the similarities which Swerve described, that will be a temporary measure only."
"We will be facing further incursions. I am quite confident of that fact."
Hopefully that was cliff-noted enough for Xaaron and Rodimus. Perceptor can't honestly think of anything he could have left out without it sounding like utter rubbish.
But he's biased that way.

Emirate Xaaron just so happens to have a physics degree, oddly enough. While he appreciates efficiency, he also understands that their language is not capable of summing up higher level concepts simply. If preceptor went off on explaining why he chose a particular kind of bolt, he'd ask for some glossing over, but not now, not when Perceptor is on about relevant content.
He isn't pleased, but he expected as much, and he says so, "At least we have a head start on the problem. We will likely need to speed up the pace of fortification and move unprotected assets inside the base. In all likelihood, we will be outmanned and fighting a war on two fronts... just like home."
He can't help smirking.

Rodimus Prime listens intently to the explanation, and at no point does he open his mouth to interrupt. A good sign indeed!
When everyone is done speaking, he slips off his desk and sighs heavily, not sharing the Emirate Xaaron's smirk. Instead, he just shakes his head, accepting the situation and preparing to move on.
The Prime crosses his arms and looks down at Emirate Xaaron, then glances over at Kup. "Time to ramp up the war efforts, then," he pronounces grimly.
OOC: Do we fade out into boring tactical planning?

Relocate unprotected assets? Hmm.... does that mean that Perceptor will have to reloacate his workshop? He sighs. That could take some work, and he isn't even certain that there is an acceptable and functional space inside the bases current crowded confines that would not pose as large a risk to everyone inside as the risks they are attempting to keep outside.
He'll have to go looking.
"I will take my leave, then, if there are no further questions, and see about working up designs for more defenses," he offers, rising.
ooc: sounds good to me.
