//We'll have answerers soon enough. My memories remind me about how good my Shockwave was at making people talk.// Eye-Fire transmits Scourge over his persona frequency.
He turns and scans the skies, like Scourge, he'd rather not have more fliers on them.

Thundercracker continues to patrol the skies, just in case more friends of the minibot show up. Okay, so maybe Skyfire is a coward and took off. That doesn't mean more Autobots won't show up -- they're suckers for fishing their own out of trouble. At least the ones he knows are...

Fleetwind is not proud. Some Decepticons might be concerned with the idea of admitting weakness at a time like this. Fleetwind is more concerned with the idea of crashing on the way home. He nods, sighing. Not the most pleasant methods of travel, but... "I'll take the trailer option."
OOC: Feel free to tie Fleetwind to any trailers as necessary.

When one node comes dropping into his lap, Synapse automatically curls around it. His optics are glued on the other one--or rather, on Shockwave's roving digits. A faint shudder runs through the minibot's frame. As for worth? He's worth plenty--a lot. As much as Synapse would like his angry sneer to be what he feels, there are plenty of insecure thoughts crowding in. Skyfire's just regrouping for reinforcements. Rodimus Prime will send someone. After all, it is only the Decepticons...
His self-assurances and processes come to a standstill at Shockwave's needle and words. This-this is different. The sharp jab at vulnerable epidermis. This isn't the Shockwave that Synapse knows of. The scout's gaze darts across the forms of the other present mechs. In fact, there are differences in these Decepticons that he should have noticed instead of reveling in his seemingly simple mission.
"No," He may be left, but he's not giving up on his leaders so quickly. After all, it's only 'for now'? Correct? He'd gulp if he could. As much as Synapse tries to make himself believe this, the minibot still makes to scramble back, away, anything. The back of Scourge's trailer isn't somewhere Synapse wants to be. Fleetwind can take his place if he so wishes.
OOC: He can be easily grabbed and lashed to the trailer

Not a flicker of his optic, not a twitch of his body betrays the annoyance he feels at Scourge's "suggestion." The needle where it rests against Synapse's chin is steady, though the pressure slowly increases. Does Scourge truly believe Shockwave to be so foolish, so reckless as to attempt such in these surroundings?
Shockwave has succeeded, though, in his intentions. The scout is anxious, his fear showing clearly despite his bravado. That needle point digs a line into Synapse's paint as the scout scrambles back, and Shockwave grabs at Synapse's forearm, snatching him roughly up. "Tsk, scouts are usually possessed of higher intelligence," Shockwave says, "Luckily for you I am not unreasonable. You may have some time to reconsider your answer." Shockwave flings the minibot toward Scourge, "Get Fleetwind to Hook for repairs, then bring our guest to my lab."

Scourge just grunts at Eye-fire's assurance. It does little for him.
He, fundamentally, does not know Shockwave. There is no Shockwave in his history or future, and there is not Shockwave analogue. Perhaps the closest would be Scourge's very useful Mega-Octane, less passionate and more reserved than Scourge, but Mega-Octane was cowed to Scourge's will by the power of the iron fist. Until proven otherwise, Scourge is going to be forced to assume the worst – that perhaps Shockwave is that foolish as to conduct an interrogation out here. He has no basis for comparison, after all. Scourge is merely being careful, but there is a fine line to walk. He did hesitate in reminding Shockwave, and he did so privately, because he has already discovered that Shockwave dislikes being called out.
Some would call Shockwave emotionless, but Scourge sees a petulance and ire perhaps mirrored by his own, only far more tightly caged. Maybe Scourge is wrong to see it, perhaps he sees something that isn't there at all, but he does see the world through wrath-tinted goggles.
He makes his voice professional, smooth, and calm, and he answers, "Of course, sir. Might you favour me with the honour of witnessing the proceedings?" Scourge has a nasty little interest in interrogations and how the mind works. Give him a few more months in his home reality, and he'd have Cerebros strapped to a table and hooked up to machine designed to break into the sanctity of his mind. That, and Starscream put Scourge in charge of intelligence. He might as well learn how it's done from the master, if Eye-fire is correct.
Scourge-3, it should be noted, is much less formal in his speech patterns, if Synapse has ever run into the treasure hunter.
Not dealing with Fleetwind for the moment, he instead moves to secure the Minibot, who still seems to have some fight or at least flight response in him. In a voice not so mild as the one used to answer Shockwave, in a voice laced with intimidation and demand, he explains, "As soon as I have you secured, Commander Shockwave will disable your radio and optical sensors. Be good about it, and I won't tear out your voicebox myself."
He explains, //Sir, they may know we're here, but I don't want him transmitting any new information out about the inside of the base. Also, it will serve to make him feel more cut-off, alone, and disoriented. I apologise for imposing on you.//
Scourge firmly triple-secures Synapse to the trailer in a none-too-comfortable position. However, he puts the Seeker into a much more comfortable position, with his hands and arms free, in case Fleetwind needs to undo his own knots or reach over and smack Synapse for singing annoying road trips songs. No '99 Bottles of Energon' this trip.

Eye-Fire stands back and watches silently, now he just has to wait for when the Autobots try to retrieve their captive.

Fleetwind has his hands free! Hoorah! So he can slap Synapse around if he wants to! He probably doesn't want to, though. Nothing to be gained by that.
The Seeker settles in for his likely uncomfortable ride back to base.
OOC: Skippable.

Make that large differences in these Decepticons. The words that that these mechs are uttering sound more suited for Autobots, and their behavior--Shockwave's behavior....Synapse would pointedly not comment on the shivers that run through his frame at the thought.
Synapse freezes in Shockwave and then Scourge's grip, frustration and fear that contorting the scout's face into a grimace. Stop touching! The side of him that nit-picks over control is sending up protests at his lack of charge in his reactions and the situation. That feeling of loss only increases as Synapse finds himself lashed tightly to Scourge's trailer.
He tries to make it a point not look at his captors. There's no way to change the viewing angle in either of his nodes, so instead Synapse makes to focus away. But the looming fact that there is going to be an interrogation and the fact that one of his nodes is still not on him has most of the scout's attention right back on the Decepticons. No obnoxious road songs coming from this minibot! Nope, he's going to be too busy not fretting.

While Scourge has been busy securing their prisoner, Shockwave has been examining the node he appropriated. He is well aware of the need to disable the scouts' optics and communications, but there is no point in doing so until the feed from the nodes is cut. Shockwave theorizes that cutting that may actually damage the minibot's psyche more, as he locates the access panel in the back. He could, of course, simply break the optical sensor from the outside, but Shockwave is not yet ready to inflict that much trauma on his prisoner.
It takes but a little time for him to locate the small bundle of cables that relay vision from the node and use his needles to disconnect them. The movements are careful, perfuctionary, not causing anymore pain or discomfort than necessary. Shockwave replies to Scourge as he crosses over and plucks the other node from Synapse's shoulder, working to disable its camera as well. //No apologies needed, Scourge. I have found vocalizing such intentions often heightens a subject's fear. And I needed to deal with these first.//
Shockwave considers refusing Scourge's request as he moves on to disabling Synapse's optics and radio. He does not usually prefer an audience. But perhaps if Scourge sees what Shockwave is capable of along these lines.... "You may observe if you wish,- //Quietly.//- but I have no intention of making this public entertainment." He steps back when finished, both nodes cradled carefully in the crook of his elbow. "I will be holding on to these, so I suggest you not do anything foolish, little Autobot."
"Eye-Fire see if you can find a vantage point which will allow you to assist Thundercracker if needed. Scourge, I will meet you at my lab." Shockwave reaches out and strokes lightly at Synapse's cheek, "And do take good care of him. I prefer an unspoiled canvas."
Shockwave waits for any answers or questions, then takes to the air, heading back toward base.
OOC: as always, player permission granted.
Do we want to move interrogation to a separate thread, or skip forward and stay in this one?

Scourge salutes and answers first verbally, "You are too kind, sir," and then over the radio, //I will be silent.// Shockwave watched the games, did he not? He would know, then, that the big black truck can indeed be quiet.
Since Eye-fire's ride back will apparently be Thundercracker, whenever the pair is recalled, Scourge only has to truck two people back home. Joy.
Scourge glances down his path and considers – he had better avoid the muddier patches. He still does need to talk to Hook about a silly little project he'd like completed. He confirms, "I will do my best, sir," and that is quite good. Fleetwind and Synapse need not fear a dirty, rough ride. Synapse only need fear what lies at the end of the ride.
He transforms and hitches himself back to his trailer. Scourge pulls out.
OOC: I'm find with just inserting the cut-scene 'spinny' and flashing forward to everyone being where they need to go, with Thundercracker and Eye-Fire still here, Fleetwind off in a medical thread, and Scourge, Shockwave, and Synapse in an interrogation thread.

If he hadn't been strapped to the trailer already, the sudden disappearance of two-thirds of his vision would have sent the scout reeling. Seeing in the range of what a normal mech usually does more resembles tunnel vision to him. After countless years of experiencing a larger view of the world, this is something Synapse 'Does Not Like'. Just another mark to add onto the list. But Shockwave's cuts accomplish their objective.
Synapse is already straining at his bonds and trying to pull away as Shockwave moves closer. It's really no use as Scourge is quite proficient in his bonds, so Synapse barely budges an inch or so before he's as far as he can go/stretch. Well, he doesn't have to worry about tunnel vision any longer. In fact, he doesn't have any optic input to occupy himself with at all. Perhaps the tunnel vision was a better option than none at all. Actually, it never was an option.
Courage running on fumes, Synapse's engines hiccough as the plans for an interrogation are further discussed. Who are these mechs?
The stroke against his cheek is utterly unexpected and has Synapse turning his face sharply away with a startled and angry hiss. The words 'Don't touch,' are half-way out before he re-realizes the situation he's in. Quickly, Synapse bites in his words and jerks his head to the side. He's hoping that he turned to a direction not actually facing Shockwave, not knowing that the other had already gone away.
Synapse shall be a very quiet road-trip buddy.
OOC: Cut scene sounds fine to me

Thundercracker is just starting to get bored with staring at the horizon when he gets Sky-Byte's radio call. Not eager to meet up with the Berkut again but still relieved for a break in the monotony, he turns and heads in the proper direction.
//Eye-Fire, I have orders to pull out. You'll be all right on your own?//
If the answer's affirmitive, he'll go. If it's negative... he'll still go.
OOC: Out of thread.
