Ah, so that's where his quarry is! With a smirk he drops down to the newly blown entrance the zombies spilled from, slowing his reaction to an immediate halt by grabbing a pipe next to the opening. One of the two zombies is still clinging and trying to get back up, but the Seeker denies him by planting his foot on his face and igniting his jet turbines, sending the zombie falling down.
"That takes care of that..." He murmurs before turning around, looking at the carnage that his opponent left behind. And he has to admit that he is quite impressed at the sight of so many zombies blown apart! Of course, there are still some left standing. Quickly he starts running forward, firing at some of the zombies in his path, jumping in between them and coming to a rolling stop and then getting up to keep running, heading in the direction which he thinks Duskwing went in.

Duskwing hated tunnels. Tunnels were where Autobots and zombies tried to ambush you. So the thing to do with tunnels is blow them up behind you, keep moving, shoot anything that moves that isn't you (or your team), and get the slag out of them. By the Book.
Following the Book, Duskwing tossed a couple of bombs over his shoulder as he jetted down the tunnel on his boot thrusters. He was in robot mode--too cramped for aerial maneuvering in here!--but flying was better than walking. Fliers didn't fall into sudden traps when the floor collapsed.
ZAP-ZAP-ZAP! More zombies; Duskwing blew out their cranial cases. Head shots usually worked. (Unbeknownst to Duskwing, that was where the remote control unit was usually situated). The dark blue & purple Seeker was getting tired of this--he felt like he was trapped in one of Needlenose's video games, going in circles killing endless hordes of really stupid computer-controlled enemies.
Another four-way; Duskwing swerved hard right, and jetted down the corridor, looking for a shaft up or down. And where the slag was Assault in all this?
// HEY, FRAGGER! Youse gonna keep hiding? Dis is gettin' boring. //
Yet another four-way and-- Whoa, shaft pit! Duskwing hovered as several shambling zombies lunged out of the adjacent cross-corridor at him and promptly fell down the hole. He couldn't resist snickering as they bounced of the walls with increasingly distant 'clangs' far below.

The freshly collapsed tunnels steer him in a different path, but ultimately, he too ends up at the shaft. Or to be more specific; in the same one that Duskwing came out of. He watches the other Decepticon from a safe distance behind him, his optics cold and calculating, pressed against the wall and hiding in the shadows. Then, once Duskwing is closest to the pit he takes out a charge and hurls it at the Seeker, waiting until it gets close and then firing off a single shot.
Boom.

Duskwing should have spent less CPU-time laughing at the falling zombies and more on keeping aware of his surroundings--
BOOM! Assault's bomb went off, and Duskwing was flung upward, stunned, singed and dented, by the shockwave--only to fall back down again.
"SLAGGIN' GLITCH-HEADED RECYCLED OIL SUMP DRIPPING-SPAWN OF A--" Duskwing's cursing echoed through the tunnels as he plummeted down the shaft. Both lifters were out, and it was far too narrow for flight. Metal shrieked as he grabbed at the shaft wall to slow down his fall--the last thing visible in the darkness was the trail of sparks as his fingers dragged at the wall.
Far, far below, there was eventually an orange flash that settled down into a steady glow...

He doesn't know what he enjoys more; the sight of Duskwing tumbling down, or his sounds of delightful frustration! "That was almost far too easy!" Assault lets out a rumbling and all too amused chuckle, his optics flashing brighter for a second. He leans in towards the shaft, looking down through the sights of his rifle, but only to blink in surprise at that glow. Surely, that didn't cause Duskwing to explode?
...Wait, what kind of shaft is this anyways?
"Oh no."

Duskwing came from a reality where they didn't have lifters; he only got them installed after being dumped on Gillanan III. He learned to fly on his jet engines a long, long time ago. The hurricane howl of them precedes Duskwing up the shaft, focused like a sonic blaster in that confined space--and the glow of their flame reflects off the inside of the shaft as he screams upward.
Is that Assault's pale face peering down the shaft, looking over a rifle? Duskwing holds both arms crooked along his centerline, flying upwards in a Superman pose--and fires both at Assault's face. Repeatedly.
"THINK YOUSE GONNA SLAG ME DAT EASY? THINK MORE!"

The shots hit his rifle, and Assault has to think fast and throw it down the shaft before it explodes, hopefully knocking back Duskwing as well. Assault activates his jets and flies back in the direction he came, swerving through the air, and should the other Seeker follow him...
Well, he has a surprise in store, just for that! He pulls out the detonation device, times the sound of Duskwing's jets and then presses the button, the explosives he had planted in his wake prior starting to beep faster. Let's see if Duskwing can survive a tunnel exploding around him!

That would have been a great trap--if the exploding rifle in Duskwing's face hadn't thrown off his flight just enough for him to richochet off the sides of the shaft like a pinball and stun him. He recovered quickly, but Duskwing had flown out of control just long enough to fly up the shaft to the next level--and slam into the ceiling. Oops.
Somewhere below him, Assault brings down the tunnel he fled down. Duskwing shakes his head, which resets a few loose connections, and drops back down to the lower level and stares into the billowing dust spewing out of the collapsed tunnel. His wings had collected an appalling number of dents and gouge marks; they no longer looked like the shinest, fastest parts of a jet.
"Huh." He shook his head again, dumping a few milliseconds of recent memory, and flew back up the shaft to the next level, then charged down the tunnel just above the one Assault had collapsed. The floor sagged dangerously in spots, but Duskwing jet-jumped off them as they started to collapse further.

When the rumbling stopped Assault turned to look, arm cannons raised, looking down the dust filled tunnel, waiting for the howling of jet engines to come rushing at him. But there was nothing. The blue seeker smirks and is about to say something witty when the ceiling behind him starts to rumble, dust and dirt coming out, his optics brightening as he realizes what could happen.
Quickly he activates his jet engines and tries to fly away, banging into the wall once before he manages to fly straight, trying to get out of there before the entire tunnel collapses around him!
Which he does, but when he reaches the end of the tunnel he's none too pleased by what he sees. Zombies have been attracted by all the noise, shambling out of other tunnels and into the chamber. "Hrmn. This might be a bit too many for me to handle. How terribly annoying. Oh well, won't know until I try!" Assault backs up a bit and starts firing precise shots of his armcannons, aiming for heads and joints and cripple as many as he can, trying to use the first row's corpses as an obstacle to slow them down. If he can do that he could retreat into the tunnel and have enough time to bring the ceiling down and create an escape route!

Duskwing snapped his head around; someone fired a laser close by! He turned this way and that, trying to figure out where the fight was--
"Waitaminute! Dat loudmouth coward was downstairs! Hah!" Duskwing yanked out a cluster bomb and tossed it back onto a section of weak flooring, then ducked as it blew up.
The floor behind him disintegrated completely, collapsing into the tunnel below in a pile of girders, dust and rust. Unfortunately, Duskwing had miscalculated just how weak the floor was underneath him, and it groaned, sag, and fell in beneath him, carrying the surprised jet down to land atop a pile of rubble and smashed zombies.
"Whoops."

When the roof comes down Assault stops his approach, half turning around to look at whatever happened, only for his optics to narrow dangerously. Looks like Duskwing was him ten steps ahead. That just bumps him up the kill list!
One zombie lurks dangerously close, but Assault manages to grab him by the arm and push him towards Duskwing before raising both of his arms, firing one at Duskwing and the others at the zombies.

Duskwing laser-blasts twin holes through the zombie's head, right about where its optics used to be. It drops like a stone.
He twists, turning his narrower side-profile toward Assault, though his wings catch some of Assault's fire. Duskwing jerks slightly as the shots pierce his wings, leaving smoking holes, but doesn't cry out, doesn't say a word. He twists back and dives forward just after Assault's flurry of shots pass, trying to tackle Assault about the waist.

"My, that must be painful, Duskwing old chap! How sweet retribution tastes!" He fires off a few more shots, but it looks like Duskwing is already springing into action. Before he can even properly react he's knocked down by the other Seeker, cursing as he tries to knee and punch him. "How dare you lay hands on me, you uncouth lout!"

Bad move, Assault. Duskwing is happy you're flailing at him with your arms--that makes it easier to grapple you. Duskwing struggles to pin down Assault's arms--he's willing to take the knee in his cockpit--just so long as he keeps Assault's arm guns pointed away from his vitals.
"Pain? You dun know nothin' 'bout pain, Officer-wannabe pretty-boy," Duskwing growls as he tries to angle his own gun to point at Assault's face, without letting Assault do the same. "Let that jackleg mechanic get his hands on your wings and wire them up all wrong, and let Clown Prime smash your cockpit in and zap you from the inside, yeah, then we'll see. See if you whimper at his feet like a busted Empty--like his own fraggin' hunter did--or get crazy mad and tear the guts outta the guy dey had hold you down so dey could beat you up."
"Think you the whimperin' kind. Can't even handle getting knocked down. How's about gettin' your face blown off?" One arm-gun ends up pointed--somewhere. It's the best chance Duskwing thinks he's going to get right now, even if it isn't aimed perfectly, so he fires.
Does he shoot the ceiling? Blow Assault's face off? Score a painful, but glancing shot? None of the above? Tune in next post to find out!

Surprisingly enough, Assault's struggling lessens when Duskwing grabs a hold of his arms, though he does still fire them at the feet of any zombies that get too close. When Duskwing starts rambling he can only chuckle in response, his optics narrowing, a rare but small taunting smile appearing on his face. "My, I was wrong! You can string more then two sentences together!"
He doesn't seem to be too worried about the gun facing him either. He waits until exactly the right moment before he kicks in his jet heels and is propelled forward, bouncing along the ground and away from the zombies into another tunnel. Bit hard too fly like this, but hopefully he can throw him off and into that hoard of zombots! But damn, that blast managed ti take out one of his shoulder vents and that hurt!
