"Right. Gloves. I know what those look like," Optimus says, rushing out of the room, heading for the stateroom Elita-1 shares with Blurr and Override. He leaves so fast, in fact, that he's not there to hear Skyfire and Perceptor start talking about how dire Elita's condition is or is not.
OOC: Out of thread fetching gloves for a round or two.

"Why would I mind getting to see more of you?" Sentinel Prime teases, but he turns a bit more serious, "Only if the medi-bots say you're good to go, though."
He loosens up a little when Optimus leaves and says to the assorted medi-bots, "While you're at it, can you rework it so she won't have a catastrophic reaction if she downloads an organic being?"
Yes, that is still bugging him.

"My ability only works through metal on metal contact," Elita answers Skyfire, somewhat distractedly, "Well. Usually. I'm thinking the barrier provided by that fabric stuff should be enough."
Sentinel's teasing earns an oddly pained look from Elita. She knows you're faking it Sentinel. She appreciates it, but she knows- and every time you do, it cuts the knife harder into her spark.
But then, you probably know that, don't you Sentinel?
She flinches when Perceptor touches her, but she already knew the touch wouldn't initiate a download. She is always very, very aware of how her ability works, and she can tell it is confined to her hands.
"I'll come right back here afterward, if you'll let me go. And- you don't have to be circumspect," she adds softly, "I can tell that this isn't going to be a matter of just resetting to default."

OOC: Rejoining rotation here since I got ran over.
Grumpy but competent. It could be worse; Jetstorm could be back home with his own medical division.
Swerve, scowling all the while he rummages for a diagnostic scanner, listens to Jetstorm's recount of how he wound up here without comment. He grunts at the conclusion of the tale and gives Jetstorm a visual once-over.
Doesn't look all that bad externally. "Sounds like you just got knocked about," he mutters, "but I'd rather be sure than have you break down from some slaggin' tiny thing later." And if Jetstorm doesn't protest and is obliging enough to at least flop a hand or twitch a panel to indicate where Swerve can connect the scanner, they can get on with this.

Jetstorm reaches over to open a panel on the arm closest to Swerve. "I am not sure what kind of weapon it was being - all I recall is that it was very painful, and then I was out." He frowns a bit, rather annoyed with himself for not having better information.
Once Swerve scans him, though, the racer will find some rather extensive circuit damage - like if Jetstorm was some kind of electricity-overloading junkie.

ooc: skipping Skyfire due to time out
"Provided that the barrier is effective in protecting your ability," Perceptor cautions, glancing between Sentinel and Elita, "yes, I will release you to accompany Sentinel down to Pz-Zazz."
He spares Swerve and Jetstorm a glance, but remains confident that Swerve has everything well enough in hand.
"But, yes, I would prefer to see you again once we have all returned to the ship, to determine what can be done." Anyone actually paying attention should catch that phrasing; granted, it will take some study, but Perceptor is already rather suspicious of what he will actually be able to do for Elita. If he'd had a snapshot of her original code, perhaps... but that isn't something that he routinely takes for every new arrival.
"As for your privacy," he adds, tilting a serious look down at her. "Your systems are, to be perfectly frank, no one's business but your own, and, perhaps, for safety's purposes, your commanders. If you choose to enlighten anyone, then that will be your own choice. During your next visit, however, only those individuals whom you request to be present, shall. It is the same courtesy that all of my patient's receive."

Sentinel Prime doesn't intend to hurt Elita-1, far from it! He didn't turn her into command, did he?
So he just hangs out uselessly in the background, looking vaguely concerned and distraught. Now and then, he looks at the job that Swerve is doing on Jetstorm. He reflects about how Elita-1 let Optimus get her gloves, not him.
If only Cliffjumper was here, Sentinel Prime could send him to get them all drinks, and he'd feel somewhat useful!

OOC: Skipping Elita-1 due to timeout.
The diagnostic report intensifies Swerve's scowl, etching his facial seams deeper into the metal as his expression pinches, brow lowering, corners of his mouth drawing down.
"What'd you do," he mutters, "stick your fingers in a power outlet?" He glares sidelong at Jetstorm past the edge of the scanner screen, face angry but optics wearily dim. "At least half your circuits are shorted or burnt out." His engine makes a discontented rumble for him in lieu of sighing and he unplugs the scanner. "Never mind. Your systems can handle some of it," he adds. I can handle the rest.

Oops, I did not realize I was up here. Sorry!
Elita thought Optimus was more likely to know what gloves are than Sentinel, is all.
"All right," she says to Perceptor, "I'll come straight back here after."
"Thank you."

Speaking of Optimus knowing what gloves are, he rushes back into the room, carrying a pair of gloves in one hand. Now all Elita-1 needs is a longcoat and a streak of white hair dye to complete her Rogue ensemble! Also hair.
"Here you go," he says, offering them to Elita with a concerned half-smile on his face. "They're like extra armor plating for your hands," he muses. He can see why organics need them, being all squishy and not having efficient thermoregulation systems, but clothes on an Autobot still weirds him out.
The young Prime turns to Perceptor, looking hopeful, but not saying anything. Wave your magic wand and make it all better, doc-bot!

OOC: Skipping... Perceptor and Jetstorm, I think? due to timeout.- - - Defensively, Sentinel Prime protests to Swerve, "I taught Jetstorm better than that! He would only stick his fingers in a power outlet under situations sanctioned by the Autobot Code, such as subcase 39b of Codex Alera. Clearly, his assailant's weapon inflicted such grievous damage." Then he stops his angry flailing as Optimus Prime returns, the goshdang glove-bearer. He gets to be all concerned and actually mean it. The nerve of him! Wait, those are gloves? He does an obvious double-take on the items Optimus has procured. Sentinel Prime thought those were shoes. Show what he knows about clothing (only that a cape can look glitchin' sweet, that princesses get new outfits as loot drops when fighting monsters, that space ponchos are disreputable, that only Great War veterans like Hound can wear a beret, and that a nice suit is required when on trial for stupid crimes).

Clearly, Jetstorm is still woozy, and didn't think to respond yet. It's not as if his player has been a space cadet or anything, no.
Ooops.
"I am thinking Sentinel Prime is right, since last thing I am remembering is being shot."

Swerve turns a withering scowl on Sentinel Prime.
"Stickin' his fingers in a power outlet under orders would be even more stupid," he mutters, then turns back to Jetstorm. "Fine, it's a weapon. Can't glitch too much at you for getting shot. Do enough of that scrap myself." He shakes his head and pulls his toolkit but doesn't set it down just yet. "I'll deal with the repairs, kid. You don't sit up, you don't try to stand or walk. If you screw around and hurt yourself any worse than you already are, I won't fix it," he growls, pointing at Jetstorm with his free hand. "Got that?"

Well, when Elita goes goth and becomes a black repaint she can have a white stripe painted on her helmet. Will that work?
She carefully takes the gloves from Optimus, nodding at the Prime in thanks. Once she slips them on, she... shuts down for a moment. That hopeful look he's giving Perceptor- Elita knows better. This isn't fixable, not as things stand right now. What will Optimus think of her once he realizes that?
"Sentinel? You need to leave soon, don't you?" she asks, finally looking up, "Do- do you want me to come with you, or just follow later?"
OOC: looks like we're getting to the end of Eita's involvement here?

Sorry, Optimus; the "doc bot" doesn't have a magic wand. He would wave it and fix everything, and not just Elita's malfunctioning ability, either.
"Remember, I wish to see you once I have returned from Pz-Zazz, Elita," he cautions. "And then we will continue investigating the alterations to your abilities."
So, no, Optimus. She isn't fixed yet.
ooc: I'm cool with fading out.
