Autobrand Party: Welcoming Skyfire

[Rodimus Prime]

Rodimus paces along the roof of the Autobase, making sure everything is set up. Not that there's much to set up. A table, several large carafes of energon, a crude chalice, and a number of more traditional cups. A small collection of spaceship grade paints.

And what else is there? Decorations? They're preparing for an invasion. Chairs? There's a few crates. That's close enough.

Really, what's missing is people.

Time note: This thread takes place two days after the arrival of Xaaron-3 and Swerve-3, but before the arrival of the rest of the -3 Autobots. Any normalverse Autobot or Maximal may join, plus Xaaron-3 and Swerve-3. If Arcee is here, she's escorting Xaaron-3, meaning those characters have to be here together. The same for Mirage and Swerve-3. Skyfire and Skyblast are necessary. If this thread gets too large, spin-off party threads can be created.

And people are showing up -- or at least one is.

"Hey, Prime!" he greets, reaching the top of the final ramp and the roof of the base. "Where's everyone else? Kind of empty up here..."

And here's another.

"What's going on, ol' flame-painted boss? Tried to figure it out, but Wheelie's at a loss!"

Botanica isn't quite sure exactly what to expect of this whole branding business. She can understand the desire to mark Skyfire's choice in some manner, to acknowledge it, and maybe to allow the group to relieve some tension. Though perhaps freely flowing (more or less) energon and the...unique amalgam of individuals might not be the best of mixes.

She considered not attending for that reason, and the fact that it really seems to be an Autobot ceremony. Still, she is here, because Skyfire has been assigned to M.E.S, and she is acting division head. Not attending would reflect poorly. Besides, she has not had a chance to interact much with Skyfire. Or many of the others, for that matter, though that is due more to her own discomfiture among them than to any avoidance of her.

She gives the Prime a smile, "At least I am not late, if the guest of honor has not arrived yet." She takes in the other arrivals, and her smile falters slightly. Oh dear. The chatty one.

[Rodimus Prime]

The Boy Prime puts a stop to his pacing, then offers Botanica one of his more winning smiles before sharing it to the group at large.

"Oh, no, Botanica. Not late at all." The smile turns sheepish as he tells Bluestreak, "Hardly anyone's arrived yet, after all." Then he turns towards Wheelie and explains, "We're... well, basically, we're welcoming Skyfire into the Autobots, Wheelie."

[Pee-Dee]

Free drinks and a party! How did Rodimus get the Junkions to follow them in the first place? By giving them free drinks and a party.

Of course Pee-Dee shows up. "Hello, everyone!"

[Bluestreak]

"Well, I hope they show up soon," Bluestreak replies to the Prime. "Don't know many Autobots that'll turn down a party. Heh, too bad we don't have Blaster for the tunes... though maybe Bumblebee can handle that..."

He finds a crate and sits down, deciding to see who else shows up.

[Grimlock]

Grimlock is here, too! He figures he should be here, since he hasn't seen Skyfire since he caught him out of the sky, and helped drag him to medbay.

And see what this branding nonsense is all about.

Ooooh, drinks!

[Boondocker]

And not far behind Grimlock comes the faded blue form of Boondocker. First time he's got around to showing his face to the 'public' group.

And what a strange group it is...a little rhyming orange fella, a Prime'd Hot Rod, a...uh...whatever Botanica is. Plant-former, if he recalls correctly... What else...a big ol' robo-dinosaur, but he comes from a similar universe that he did, according to Kup. Same with Bluestreak, and this 'Junkion' girl. Apparently, the three of them are from Boony's future.

Man. All this was confusing...better to just try to enjoy the party-thingamajigger for what it was!

He waves a bit, smiling and putting forth a "Howdy, y'all!"

[Perceptor]

Another arrival, and this one toting one last addition to the libations in the form of something bubbly and fun looking that he'd concocted up specifically for Holi and any of the others not looking for potency in their refreshments.

"Greetings and salutations," the verbose scientist calls as he climbs the last bit of the ramp to the roof and moves over to place his offerings with the rest of the collected Energon. He may not ordinarily be much of a "party mech", however, officially welcoming Skyfire into their ranks is inducement enough to entice him from his workshop for a few hours at least.

[Skyfire]

Skyfire strides up the ramp to the roof, his long steps making short work of it. It's about time the guest of honor showed up!

"Hello! Rodimus, Perceptor--I see you brought the refreshments-- Wheelie!" Skyfire grinned at his dimunitive roommate. "Botanica, nice to see you. Pee-Dee, Bluestreak... good to see you! Grimlock! Where've you been? And..." Skyfire looks at the (relatively) new guy. "Boondocker. Haven't had a chance to ask you how things went on arrival."

The big white shuttle mech looked around. "There's more on the way; I passed a few people on the ramp, and our jets are out there somewhere." He grinned, pleased to be here with all these friendly people.

[Jazz]

"Greetin's and hallucinations!" Cheerful greeting called out over conversation. Jazz must have heard Perceptor's arrival, and decided to bring the fun with big words to a new height. Either that or he caught that particular greeting on the internet, and thought it was funny. "Hey guys."

Party. Jazz.

Why would you think you could have one without the other?

Poor Botanica. Chatty 1 and Chatty 2 both in the same room. The reclusiveness that he's been forcing upon himself to get work done is not natural. Not normal. Not SANE.
Which is why a party might just be...

"Hey Skyfire! Glad to see you here!" Jazz is happy to see people. Happy happy happy. "Hey Bluestreak!"

Oh. This should be entertaining.

[Nimbus Tsura]

Skyblast isn't sure why he has orders to haul out here. As far as he can tell, he was ordered to show up to a party?

Maybe Kup is just awesome.

He looks around, first noticing the set of paints. Interesting! Not his favourite medium, but Slingshot could tell them how he spent time fussing over painting their room. Then, he notices the people here.

Skyblast waves cheerily to anyone in range and then goes off to investigate the energon carafes. They had better not give him kiddie energon. He's not short; they're all just ungainly in height! Skyblast wonders speculatively but not quietly, "So who do I have to do a portrait of to get some synth around here?"

It's a bitter green liquid fuel that can be added to energon as a mixer. It's also definitely not for the kiddies.

[Emirate Xaaron-3]

Emirate Xaaron does have something of an issue with too many people, but he does like the anonymity of crowds. Also, there are few things more chaotic than a party.

He rubs his hands together and greets the group, "Hello. Quite the spread of hospitality you have here."

Emirate Xaaron isn't touching anything until he's seen what it does to everyone else. His optics flutter over the chalice with veiled distaste.

Arcee should be around here somewhere. Otherwise, he's being a very bad Emirate. Worse than usual, anyway.

[Emirate Xaaron]

Emirate Xaaron supposes that he should show up. It would set a negligent example to not be there when a neutral finally joins the Autobots. When he arrives, he sees that he is already here. It's a rather awkward feeling.

Smiling and nodding in greeting to whoever he passes, he paces over to Rodimus Prime. Emirate Xaaron does need to check with the Prime about a few things, such as – which over of them is doing the speech, anyway. He could very easily see Rodimus Prime thinking it his duty, being the Prime and the bearer of their sacred life force. On the other hand, Emirate Xaaron is currently their leader, so he could see Rodimus Prime expecting him to the speech. It would be embarrassing if they both tries to do speeches at the same time or if no one did a speech and there was an awkward pause.

He doesn't even look at the drinks.
