Posturing? Check. Apparently sage sounding advice? Check. Yeah he's as clueless as she is. This should be an adventure. On the other hand, what could it hurt, other then her pride?
Hopefully, she won't be finding out jets have two left feet. Grace in the air does not always equal grace on the ground after all.
"That's...only slightly helpful. Maybe you should demonstrate?" Why did she feel like she was playing verbal hot potato? Just because she was graceful didn't mean she had the slightest clue what to do other then maybe sway in place a bit. Not exactly enthralling.

Slingshot tries to look around covertly. Anyone else dancing? No... Dangit, the detective could not be that interesting.
"I need another drink first," the Aerialbot declares and makes a beeline for the refreshments table.

To spite her previous misgivings about overcharged Autobots, Oracle could find herself really getting behind the idea of another drink before she attempted something like dancing. False courage before embarrassing stupidity worked for her. Either someone would head them off at the pass, or she just wouldn't care.
"Yeah, good idea. Is this all you're supposed to do at a party anyway?" She thought she saw why her old squad mates skipped the party and just went straight to the bar if that was the case. Eliminated a lot of the extra fluff and kept the more interesting part.

"Can't be all they do. Why have a party outside of the lounge then?" Slingshot argues as he makes his way to the drink table.

Eyeing the various things on offer on the drink table as they headed that way, Oracle shrugged. "I wouldn't really know to be honest. I've never been to a party before, this could be normal for all I was aware." Which considering it had already been established she wasn't as young as Slingshot, probably sounded slightly strange.
"At least there are drinks, or things would be really unfamiliar." Probably a lot more boring too, since she didn't have much interest in whatever was going on that seemed to be causing the stir over in the center of things.

Slingshot snags a couple of cubes of the normal high-grade and offers one to Oracle. He has nimbly avoided all of the people from the "Welcoming Skyfire" main thread that are also looking for drinks. Boy's got skillz.
"Never been to a party before? I thought you were from the beginning of the War!" He has an excuse, darn it. He's only a month or two old.

Not having any problem with letting Slingshot deal with dodging the various others weaving around the drink table, Oracle is more then happy to accept the offer of a cube from him. "Thanks. Seems like drinks are starting to look like a good idea to a lot of people." And she's more then happy to let Slingshot use those skills of his to acquire drinks for the both of them instead of fighting for them herself.
"No, I've never been to a party before." She didn't see any point in keeping secret something that was known in her own time and universe, since there was always a chance of someone she knew showing up anyway. "I was a Neutral like I mentioned, but I also spent most of my time alone. Parties weren't exactly a priority even when I was in any of the encampments." For as long as things like that existed anyway. "After I joined the Autobots the company I was assigned to was more the bar then party type. It wasn't exactly some pinnacle of social events I felt I'd been missing out on anyway." And now that she'd been to a party, she still didn't really see the big deal.

Okay, Oracle? Is weird. The expression he gives her clearly says that, then he shrugs a bit and takes a long drink from his cube.
"Hey, looks like Rodimus and the Barbie car are dancing. Why don't we go over there?"

Oracle knows she's strange, but that doesn't prevent her from shifting slightly uncomfortably at his expression and she avoids his gaze by staring at the cube in her hands she she rolls it between her fingers.
She looks up when he speaks though, then across the room . "Sure, though that looks a bit more complicated then just moving to music." Swing dancing more complicated then the previous type? Just a little bit.

"What? You don't think you can handle it?" Slingshot's question is pure challenge.

This was such a bad idea. Oracle looked at Slingshot, then back at the two across the room. After a moment she downed half her cube and shook her head. "Oh to...lets just go before I get a rush of sense."
That said she started across the room with determination without waiting for Slingshot, though she wobbled briefly as the rush hit her systems.

Skyblast resurfaces from painting Skyfire and gawking at Nightbeat's revelation. He has a different drink than he started with, the astute among Oracle and Slingshot may note.
He pauses and looks at the other jets, who seem to be busy being awkward at each other.
Skyblast comments, "A bunch more people have shown up. A big helicopter, a tiny tiltrotor," this is exciting! "an ambulance, and - uhm, I'm sure I'm forgetting someone."

"An ambulance?" Slingshot perks up a bit. "That's First Aid. Lemme invite him over. Hey, Skyblast, do you know how to dance?"

Skyfire wandered over with a drink or two in each hand. "Anyone fresh out or never got supplied here?" he said, proffering the extra drinks.
"Do either of you two know what Perceptor is doing over there? I'm not terribly familiar with the art form."

First Aid slips up from a slightly different direction, having circled around a little in an attempt not to look too much like he’s in the process of turning into Skyfire’s duckling. He waves.
"Hello! Just a moment, like I said."
