Hook ignores the idiot jets. In fact, he disengages from the conversation entirely to devote himself entirely to repairing the idiot jet under his scalpel and pliers.
The process takes long, laborious hours, but when it's finally done and the Constructicon steps away to tend to his tools, Duskwing likely feels physically better than he ever has in his life.

Duskwing had long since run out of things to say about Autobots--well, things that he thought Hook really wanted to hear--and Starfighter not rising to the bait got boring after a few times. He was reduced to sullenly glaring at the wall while Hook worked and worked and worked on him... rather like Perceptor-3 had, only it took longer.
There was one major difference: after Perceptor-3 was done with him, Duskwing had been 'repaired', but worse off than before his battle; now, he was repaired and felt much better than after Perceptor had done with him. In fact, he felt better than before his battle with the Autobots.
Duskwing flexed his wings after Hook let him off the table. "Oh yeah! Smooth! Thanks, Hook! You do good work. You're a real repair tech, not like dat drone-repair-school reject the 'Bots have!"
He looked a bit puzzled for a few minutes. "Uh, whose I s'posed to report to next?"

Hm. Perhaps Duskwing isn't as intolerable as previously suspected.
"Report to your division head, Duskwing. If he has no work for you, then do whatever it is you do when not filling a shift."

Duskwing stared blankly at Hook for a few minutes. "You mean Sky-byte; yeah, got it. Yes, sir."
He came to attention and saluted Hook, who acknowledged it with a nod. "Dismissed, Duskwing."
"Yes, SIR!" Duskwing was gone.

Hook posed with permission. Duskwing out-of thread.
