//Good.// Slingshot makes a wide swooping curve that reverses his course. It doesn't look like he's going to change directions any time soon.
If Oracle follows him, he goes back over the base and out over the ocean. There, he adjusts his course, and within a few hours, they're skimming over the tree-tops of a small chain of islands.

Suiting actions about not flying alone to her words, Oracle does follow him, tossing a barrel roll into her course change, but coming about to match his direction in the end. That having gotten the last of the playfulness out of her system, she settles into more sedately flying slightly behind and to the right of him.
Having not made it out this far from the base before, she is content to follow his lead and just take in the scenery they fly over.

Slingshot is quite happy to spend the remaining bits of night out here on the deserted islands, flirting with the volcano spewing ash and the wind-stirred treetops.
As the night turns grey with the first hints of sun, he wings up into the sky. //Race the dawn back to base!//
With a whoop, he takes off, going flat-out.

Flying with someone else being the rare treat it was, Oracle was pleased to just savor the experience. She ended up staying out with Slingshot in the islands instead of heading in early like she thought she might, but in the end didn't even notice the passing time until Slingshot headed into the sky with his challenge of racing the sun. //Hey!//
Twisting around to follow with a laugh, she kicked in her thrusters enough to catch up to him, but he hadn't said anything about racing him back to base, so once she pulled even, she opted to pace him instead of pulling ahead. After all, racing the dawn wasn't as much fun without a partner to do it with.
