OOC: Takes place DZ-3, Day 5, likely prior to No Time Like The Future. Also, mentions of Mirage cleared with Mirage's player.
Skyblast is pleasantly startled to find that there is someone in his berth with him. He was sober when he went down, and he remembers who he went down with - Mirage, a quite delightful fellow. Skyblast is just startled that Mirage is still here. It would have been easy enough for the spy to make like his name and vanish (and Skyblast doesn't know the half of it). Skyblast wouldn't have been upset if Mirage had just faded away in the night, but him being here now is an extra treat.
Wings perking and twitching as the last fragments are shuffled off into their correct directories, Skyblast attempts to give Mirage a tight hug and a kiss on the lips, greeting cheerily, "Good morning, lovely!"
Skyblast is happy to see Mirage, so happy that he really isn't seeing much of anything else. For one thing, he should probably be checking to see if his room mates ever got back in from their flight or not.

"Mmmm."
Oh this is nice. It has been awhile since Mirage had the luxury of being kissed awake, and he returns both kiss and hug eagerly. It would not have occurred to Mirage to leave before Skyblast woke; it would have been quite impolite after the wonderful time the skypainter had shown Mirage. Besides, Mirage likes company when he rests, company and cuddles.
"And good morning to yourself, love," Mirage replies once the kiss is broken, bringing his hand up to try to stroke Skyblast's cheek. Like Skyblast, Mirage is oblivious to who may or may not have returned to the room in the night.

The roommates have just gotten back from a night of physical exuberance and hearty activity with the sky as their playing field.
The door to the room hisses open, and Slingshot makes a beeline for his berth. Unlike everyone else's here, there's no climbing involved in getting to his. It's designed for being able to collapse on it with the least amount of effort. Which is just as well, as the Aerialbot only seems to wander in when he's getting near to collapsing.
Oh good, Skyblast had found his berth-
And so had someone else. "Wrong room, Mirage."
... Were they kissing? Wasn't that a human thing?
Man, the people around here were so gorramed weird.

Tired from all the flying she and Slingshot had done she might be, but Oracle doesn't miss that there seems to be an extra body in the room when the two of them make it back. Mirage is not a normal part of the landscape after all.
That almost prompts her to turn around and head right back out, but after just a slight stumble she heads across the room and swings up onto her bunk above Slingshot's.
Apparently she hadn't needed to be concerned about their other roommate when he didn't join them after all, since it looked like he had managed to find something else to occupy the rest of his evening just fine if she was reading the situation right. Kissing tended to be difficult to misinterpret though, even more so when the two doing the kissing happened to be in the same bunk.

Skyblast sits up, more or less kneeling on Mirage's lap, and he tries to catch Mirage by that hand on his cheek and pull Mirage up with him. The little jet isn't particularly self conscious - why should be be? Still, he feels better about fielding questions and comments sitting up.
Provided that he can get Mirage to sit up a bit, Skyblast tries to lean his head against Mirage's chest. At Slingshot's comment, Skyblast purrs, "No, Mirage definitely has the right room."
Belatedly, he greets, voice just a touch frosty, "Hello, Slingshot, Oracle. Have a good duet flight?"

Mirage lets himself be pulled up and is perfectly content to let the tiny jet cuddle to his chest. He shifts position a bit to be more comfortable and wraps his arms around Skybast. Mirage isn't shy by a long shot, and if Skyblast will allow, Mirage will trail chaste little kisses along the top of Skyblast's helm.
This isn't about Mirage though, and the spy remains quiet. He does chuckle a bit at Slingshot's reaction.
At Skyblast's shift in tone, however, Mirage tries to give the skypainter a comforting squeeze.

Slingshot has been on the wing ever since he left the party. The only reason he's still upright is because he got overcharged at the party.
He's also fixing the uprightness right now as he lays down on his stomach and plugs into his berth. Recharging on his back or his sides is extremely uncomfortable with the jet he has hanging off of him.
Once energy starts flowing into his systems, Slingshot relaxes, visor pressed against his forearm. "Yeah. Went out to that island chain a ways off. Got a volcano spewing ash, and the winds were nice."
Visor dimming, dimming, dimming... It'll be dark soon if he has any say in the matter.

Curling up with her knees tucked to her chest and her folded arms resting on top of her bent knees, Oracle watched the two cuddling on Skyblast's bunk.
She was probably almost as tired as Slingshot, and would probably be joining him in falling into recharge if the extra company wasn't in the room, but for now she supposed she would try and be social until either they left, she gave up and left, or she passed out.
"It was nice, never got to play in volcano ash like that before." Her voice was a bit wistful. "Was surprised you didn't join us actually, but apparently you found other company." Company she hadn't met before in fact, which was making her just a wee bit more jittery then she probably would have been otherwise.

Skyblast is perfectly content to have his helm kissed and to accept a comforting squeeze. In return, he snuggles up against Mirage.
Skyblast raises an optical ridge and asks, "So how much do your turbines hate you right now?"
Skyblast knows a bit about flying in ash-filled skies. He knows more than he wants to know, really. His Cybertron was burning, when he left it, and he's been around the block on a few other planets. Vulcanism is a pretty common thing, he's found. It can be hellish on the old turbines, but hey, maybe Slingshot likes that, or maybe he didn't fly in too close.
To Oracle, he replies, that bit of frost remaining in his voice, "I passed out. Luckily for me, Mirage came to the rescue and checked on me. One thing led to another, and..." Skyblast shrugs. Like he'd join them after a snub like they did - flying off together without asking him if he wanted to join. It'd be pathetic of him to trail after them, hoping.
He considers how sleepy the two look. So Skyblast is the barnstorming artist, and he's the one who gets a decent night's recharge? What's wrong with this picture? Skyblast could paint it for you. Speaking of painting, he looks up at Mirage and inquires hopefully, "Got a little bit of time? I said I'd do a sketch for you."
He also said he'd do a memorial to Optimus Prime for Slingshot, but Slingshot can wait. Skyblast still needs to talk to Kup about the subject matter, anyway. He isn't going to break his promise over pettiness, but Skyblast isn't noble enough not to filibuster a bit.

Skyblast still seems most put out. Mirage also notes the tiredness of the other two, now that the he's thinking a bit clearer; it always did take him a few more minutes then most to wake up, especially if he'd been indulging the night before.
Mirage answers Skyblast, "Certainly. I don't recall anything pressing that needed doing immediately upon my waking. I would love to see you in your element."
He shifts so he can slip off the berth, then offers a hand to Skyblast.

"You passed out?!" Slingshot shoves himself up awkwardly on his elbows. "How could you pass out? You were drinking all night! What'd you go and do, run around like a chicken with your head cut off until you collapsed? Prime, I thought you at least had more sense than Fireflight!"

"Wait, passed out? What?" Breaking off as she ended up talking at the same time as Slingshot, Oracle twitched slightly at the rest of his question. Ok, that's what she wanted to know to, but that wasn't exactly how she would have put it...
In fact, gnawing on her lip slightly she went ahead and asked Skyblast herself. "What happened? I mean, you seemed alright when I left." And cue the guilt pangs for apparently missing something like the imminent collapse on the part of someone she called a friend shortly afterward, even if he really had seemed visually fine to her, and she didn't know enough about the costs of changing a transformation to realize what the consequences of his showing off might be.
Pulling her knees a bit tighter and shifting her arms to wrap around them more firmly, Oracle looked at the smaller jet across the room for a moment before speaking up again. "Sorry Skyblast." For the whole mess really, she wasn't even sure herself what she felt worst about. Probably the fact she still would have gone with Slingshot anyway, though maybe she would have poured another drink or two into Skyblast and pulled him along by his wings if she knew then what was going on.

Skyblast doesn't need Mirage's help to get out of his lofted berth, but he takes the hand all the same. After a graceful drop, he stays close to Mirage's side.
He glares at Slingshot, wings mantling, and he says slowly, "I meant to go get a drink. I was just distracted, and it slipped through the cracks." No, he's not going to explain why he was distracted or why he needed a drink in the first place. Slingshot will make fun of him.
Oracle at least seems to be a bit contrite. He dismisses breezily, "Just wasn't watching my fuel levels."
Skyblast makes to leave. He doesn't really want to deal with the other jets right now. Skyblast knows just what he has to paint, and who is he to deny his Muse?

Mirage stays out of the discussion, though he does try to give Skyblast's hand a comforting squeeze when the artist bristles at Slingshot.
When Skyblast moves to leave, Mirage follows. He is quite curious over what the skypainter will be creating.

"You are as bad as Fireflight." With that pronouncement, Slingshot lets his head drop back against his arm. Dangit, he's going to have to add 'round up Skyblast and make sure he hasn't hurt himself' to the routine of getting through the day.
But, right now, he's going to recharge. Screw the rest of the world.

Sleepy Slingshot is out-of-thread to sleep.
