Day 30, Open thread for 'Cons, soon to be open to 'Bots and Maxies as well.
Starscream looks out a porthole into space. Currently, there's not actually much space visible, as most of the view is taken up by a huge ratty space station. It's not quite as ramshackle as the little cargo tug he bought for this mission, (which he has christened Payload), but then he doesn't plan to use the ship for very long.
Having had enough sightseeing, the self-styled Lord turns around to address his troops. "Decepticons, Predacons," and Vehicon if Jetstorm is present, "as you know, we are about to attack the Event Horizon, our Autobot enemies' starship. Once our vessel emerges from the sensor shadow of this miserable excuse for a space station, we will approach the Event Horizon. Lugnut, Rampage, myself, and any other space-capable troops, or troops who can fit inside space-capable troops who wish to volunteer for this important assignment will fly from the Payload, and land on the Event Horizon's hull, at the foremost part of the ship near the bridge. Lugnut has been rearmed for this mission." Here Starscream shoots a look at the zealot. "If he proves he can be responsible with his weapons systems, he may remain armed for the foreseeable future. He will use his primary weapon to blow a hole in the hull. Once this is accomplished, we will begin clearing the immediate area of Autobot resistance and the Payload will 'dock' with the hole in the Event Horizon, allowing the rest of you to board. Our objective will seem to be to destroy the command bridge, and if we can disable this vital component of the Autobots' vessel, so much the better. However, our true objective is to provide a diversion while Scourge's team disables the ship's engines."
"If you have any questions, now is the time to ask."

Screwdriver is sitting on the floor cross-legged, apparently very intent in a game of Jenga with herself. She wears on her back a slender, cobbled together pack of some sort with fanciful fairy wings tacked on - it looks like it might be a jet pack of some sort.
The Jenga tower falls and she frowns. "Ashes, ashes, they all fall," she singsongs, then looks up and smiles, raising her hand as if trying to get the attention of a teacher. However, she doesn't wait to be called on to speak, and immediately declares, "It is only the gay and innocent and heartless who can fly! Will you let me fly with you? I've brought my fairy dust!"1

Throughout the speech, Wreckage remains stonily silent. He will not be part of the first wave, but not for lack of desire; too large to be a passenger and not strictly space-capable without altering forms – something that either leaves him weaponless or makes him an ungainly plane with panels and parts that can snag far too easily – he will have to wait his turn. He baulks privately at the prospect but holds almost perfectly still, the slight flexing of one hand giving him away.
His engine rumbles with mixed anticipation and discontent, and if Starscream wonders why the Stryker ignores him entirely, it can be blamed on his seeming meditative state.

At the back of the assembled crew stands Lugnut, his form towering over most of them here, his central optic focused on their 'leader'. It is a good plan, though not a glorious one, but in Megatron's absence it will do. Especially since it got his beloved weapon back! He felt so harmless without it! When Starscream addresses him he throws the hand with the weapon up into the air, saying "I will not fail, for I am a warrior of Megatron!" in a deep, rumbling voice.

Lugnut is not the only one there, though. Assault is there as well, standing with his rifle already in his hands. While his face is impassive as always, his optics betray his excitement, burning bright at the promise of combat. It truly has been too long since he had a decent scrap with the Autobots!

"Murder, mayhem, chaos?" Rampage muses, largely to himself. He lounges against a wall with his arms crossed, his Gatling cannon held loosely in one hand. He taps the barrel against his leg in time with each word. "Business as usual, then."
He looks forward to it. He's curious about what a laser core tastes like.

Jetstorm is there as one of the smaller ones. He's listening, but not fully, as he is more distracted by other things, some of which may be himself.
He is firmly in the belief that it's good to see Lugnut use his weapon on something other than his comrades.

"Uh, so Lugnut busts into the ship, we go in, and shoot Autobots, right?" Duskwing asks, his face furrowed in concentration. "An' we try to bust up the bridge, but it ain't no do or die thing on account of it bein' a dis-dis-distraction?"

"Well, you can go get yourself killed if you really feel like it," Barricade replies smoothly from where he's leaning against the back wall. "But just because it's a distraction doesn't mean that we can't break as many Autobots as we can catch. Saves the effort of running them down later."
He grins a nasty, eager smirk, his talons flexing and unflexing against his upper arms as he half pays attention here, and half to Frenzy where the hacker hides with Scourge's group.

Brawl leans against a bulkhead, electron gun held at the ready. He dislikes Starscream on general principle, but he'll do what he says if it means a chance to bust some heads.

Starscream reviews his troops one more time. He'd have preferred to have left Screwdriver back on Ship, but her presence is a necessary evil. Someone had to make this leaky tub spaceworthy. He reflects that the nigh-unkillable Junkions would make excellent shock troops if it weren't for them all being crazy. "Yes, you may accompany the first wave." And Jetstorm will ride in Starscream's cockpit, though it'll be a tight squeeze. "Correct, Duskwing. If you can't kill, shoot to maim. Overworking their medics can only help us." An upbeat computerized voice sing-songs "Approaching target!" and Starscream turns and stalks toward the airlock. "First wave, with me. Radio silence until we board the Event Horizon. Barricade, you're in charge here until we've regrouped." He presses the button to open the inner door of the airlock, which plays a jaunty orchestral tune, then, once the advance party is all inside, cycles the airlock and leaps out into the vacuum of space, transforming and blasting off toward the looming Autobot vessel. The Payload is on automatic pilot, and will continue moving toward the Event Horizon on what is pretty much a collision course. The 'docking' procedure is mostly automated as well, but requires some simple manual input. Anyone but Duskwing or Brawl ought to be able to handle it, and everyone's been properly briefed on how to do so offscreen.

Dustcutter was also here for the fun. The littlest Decepticon was hardly a shock troop but the ones who were would provide lovely cover for him to sneak into the Autobot ship and look for something, anything important which he could sabotage. Maybe if he got lucky, there would be an auto destruct he could initiate. Big Boom for everyone.

Screwdriver claps her hands together excitedly. "Hooray! Happy thoughts!" she exclaims, and then darts into the airlock after Starscream, manauvering through space a trifle clumsily with her jet-powered 'fairy wings.'
Such a shame her Lego-based Scraplets aren't finished in time for this!
OOC: I'm assuming that by now, the Event Horizon sensors can probably pick up the collision course craft, if someone wants to post the alert in the Autobot radio thread?

The noise Wreckage makes when Starscream leaves Barricade in charge is clearly one of disgust, in spite of the sensible suggestions the infiltrator makes regarding Autobots. He says nothing – as usual – and watches the advance party take their leave with mounting restlessness. Combat approaches; he has to focus. Focus past the anticipation drawing his tensor cables tight and priming his motor relays, focus before it goes to his head.

Show time. Lugnut's optic burns a bit brighter in anticipation of the coming slaughter, following Starscream into the airlock, though his good mood is somewhat ruined by the cheesy music. Couldn't it come with something a bit more epic, something more befitting of the coming slaughter?
But then the hissing of the hatch draws his attention. With a rumbling chuckle he turns to face the smaller first wave Decepticons, his cockpit halves opening with a hiss as he kneels down, allowing them to get in. He barely has enough time to close up and stand up again before the hatch opens, but he does jump out after Starscream immediately, the thrusters on his feet kicking in as he flies after the aerial commander, the Event Horizon never leaving his sights and only getting closer. Anything that can slow him down is simply bashed out of the way or even just rammed: NOTHING will deny him this opportunity to rain down Megatron's wrath on the Autobots!
Once the Event Horizon is close enough, his optic burns bright, while a deep rumbling growl makes his split up cockpit rumble! He throws his arm back, clamps pulling back as that red button pops out, with the thruster on his elbow landing him speed as he fires up his attack. His arm trembles with the mighty energy that is building up inside it, and with the hull fast approaching there is only one thing he can do before the show begins: Mock the no sound in space rule!
"FOR THE GLOOOOOORY OF MEGATRON!"
KABOOM.
With the immense force that IS the POKE he hits the hull of the ship, the massive explosion overtaking his form while blowing open a sizable hole in the side of the ship. When the proverbial dust settles, Lugnut is not in immediate sight for he is already inside, his armor scorched but undamaged. The purple and teal giant ejects any of his passengers before he reaches for his hammer and forces his way inside the ship proper, bashing any debris in his path while the turrets on his chest already open fire, be it on any present Autobots or any form of security. "COME, AUTOBOTS, MEET YOUR DEMISE! MEGATRON DEMANDS YOUR LIVES!"
----
OOC: Included the POKE now to speed things up instead of waiting another round. Hope you don't mind!
Assault is skippable until the second wave goes in.
