Day 14, Pz-Zazz orbit. Semi-private. Please ask if you'd like to join; it's in a bit of an awkward location.
It used to be, that when a communications satellite malfunctioned, it was cheaper to shoot a new one into the sky than trying to sending someone up to fix it. In fact, it probably still is, but space conservationist lobbies have the politicians in their pockets at the moment, and they argue that irresponsibly cluttering the sky with satellites ruins the natural wilderness of space, thereby necessitating the job of satellite repair man. The union of satellite repair men is, of course, in league with the space conservationists, creating a powerful political union.
None of that rookery particularly matters to Omega Supreme. He's outfitted with communications gear, and he can fill in for a satellite gone haywire while the repair man fixes it, and he can even give the repair man a ride to the satellite in the process. It's swell!
He sort of wishes that the repair company that contracted him would spring for at least spacewalk tethers, though, as he pulls up to their destination. Omega Supreme's rather fond of his current crew, and them falling out of orbit would, well...
...no two things would not be smashed when he was done, nevermind how short he is now.

"Thank you again, Omega Supreme, sir," Holi says cheerily from his seat as he waits out the approach. Omega Supreme is, indeed, much smaller than he used to be, but Holi remains smaller still and easily stowed for a quick trip. "I can't thank you enough for your help!" Which is the truth; he's said thank you so many times he stopped counting and he doesn't see a reason yet to stop.
What he won't admit, because brave captains don't say such things, is that he's so grateful to have a friend nearby while he works because he's afraid. Just a little afraid, but enough. He has travelled through space many a time, but travelling aboard a starship is far, far different from actually being in space himself. Space is big – incomprehensibly big – and vast and the planet is a long way down. He hadn't much liked the thought of working by himself out here, so to have another Autobot as his partner allays many of his fears. To have Omega Supreme as his partner makes him feel almost invincible.
Once they arrive to their destination, Holi hitches up the toolbelt he was given, with all its carefully designed, sealed pockets to keep tools from spilling out in the vacuum and being lost, and readies himself for making the hop from Omega Supreme to the malfunctioning satellite.
"I'll maintain radio contact, okay?" He looks upward for confirmation.

"I am thankful for the assistance as well," answers a small blue-green 'bot who looks a lot like Bumblebee.
Holi isn't alone!
Though, it's someone he doesn't know as well as the Guardian. Someone who is rather fascinated by Omega Supreme, actually - comparing him to the Omega Sentinels from back home is something she can't help but do. Alas, she doesn't know the ins and outs, or else she might wonder if in her reality if Holi would be a mentor to an Omega Sentinel.
(Clearly, it would be Galactica Supreme, styled after Galaxy Shuttle, and his Allspark Almanac entry would be full of Battlestar Galactica and Babylon 5 references.)
Once they arrive, Glyph is following after Holi - she's just here to translate after all - better to see where Holi needs to work first.

Somewhere out in the dark depths of space (onboard the Event Horizon, standing in front of one of the windows in an appropriately broodingly unlit alcove, actually), a lone figure waits. (Tapping her foot, with her arms crossed over her chest, as a matter of fact.) The thin light of the distant stars do little to illuminate deathly pale pink plating, and icy blue optics glare out into the darkness (in the general direction that Omega Supreme had rocketed off with her boyfriend. And the other one). Glyph might just be feeling a little chill running down her spinal strut right about now, actually. ooc: just posting in a single post of random silliness. Clipper is not actually in this thread. Hence why she's glaring ice daggers in Glyph's general direction.

Omega Supreme answers verbally, "Radio: agreed."
Then, when Holi and Glyph look ready, he opens up his back hatch. Should just be a quick jump for them to the satellite and then to... a nightmare of a satellite that was built from off-the-shelf components from a dozen different systems, all still labelled in their original lanugages.
Omega Supreme just fiddles with his data transfer and port settings, getting ready to cover for re-beaming the channels this satellite was carrying when Holi and Glyph have to shut down the satellite to fix it.

Holi's player actually forgot about Glyph, but the excuse will be that Holi is trying not to think about the girl along on this mission because he certainly feels like there's someone walking over his grave. He chafes one arm as if to remove the chill, then as the hatch opens, he offers one hand to Glyph.
//Stay close now,// he cautions, every bit the confident professional.

Glyph nods to Holi, taking his hand. //Of course.// Glyph does feel a chill as well, but passes it off as being due to space. She doesn't even know about Holi and Clipper, and definitely doesn't have any interest in Holi like that. He's too young for her! He's a good kid, but ...a kid.
She's rather neutral about the whole mission so far - she'd much prefer translating in an office, though. In the future, though, she'll end up wishing she was here again rather than in the situations she'll wind up in.

Omega Supreme's hatch closes behind them with an unheard hiss as soon as they're out. He watches them as best he can, fretting over the jump and the shoddy old satellite and bauds.
Being around people is good, he thinks, even if he isn't talking to them. They help him remember what it's like to be a person and why people are worth defending.

If Holi knew he was "just a kid", he'd be crushed. Utterly crushed. He's more than a kid; he's a trained captain in the Autobot army. Even though he doesn't act like it half the time. He really should do something about that.
But none of this crosses his mind as he eyes the gap between himself and Glyph and the little bit of a ledge they have for landing on the satellite. He even stops worrying about the fact that he's on a mission with a girl and what Clipper might think, focusing on the job at hand. Because he does have a job to do, and once satisfied with the dimensions and the distance, he readies himself for the jump, trusting Omega Supreme's inertia to withstand the little push it will take to propel the smaller Autobots away.
//Ready?// And if Glyph gives the affirmative, he strikes them out from the shelter of Omega Supreme with care and a cool look of concentration, as though he does this sort of thing all the time. He doesn't even look at the panorama of Pz-Zazz below.

Ah, it's more Glyph's age than anything that's painting her perceptions of the Micromaster.
Clearly, she should get in trouble and be rescued by the captain at some point, and thus inadvertently cause more friction with Clipper. It'll cause Glyph to respect his skills a bit more, though!
//Ready,// she answers, and as they head over, she gets a look at the rather piecemeal satellite. //That's the target? The Junkions look better put-together than that thing. No wonder it's busted...//

Omega Supreme has inertia in spades!
One of the radiators on the satellite cracks a bit when the Micromaster and the Minibot get there. Luckily, that's covered in the repair manual, which is written in Lazalt, whereas the radiator itself is labelled in Ilxian.

Holi dutifully notes the mess they're looking at – and gives that cracked radiator a baleful look as if warning it not to try anything else. But before any real repair work can begin, first….
//We've made it safely,// he reports to Omega Supreme once both he and Glyph have handholds on something that doesn't look like it'll snap off immediately. //I'll get it ready to re-route signals in just a moment.// It might take slightly longer than a moment since Holi's a bit rusty with this sort of thing as opposed to the radio, but he'll get it done. It gives Glyph more time to read and translate, certainly.

Glyph frowns at the satellite. Her eyes dart all over the place, noting down words there, and starts cross-referencing them with language packs she picked up on Pz-Zazz.
//By the Allspark, there's at least a couple dozen different languages on these parts...// She shakes her head.
She continues with noting things down, waiting for Holi to finish rerouting.

//Acknowledged,// Omega Supreme replies to the intrepid duo.
The radiator looks innocent at Holi sits there, because it is just a radiator. The handholds seem to have been made for someone bigger than Holi or Glyph, which is good, because they don't seem to be up to code and would probably break if someone strong looked at them funny.

But Holi can't get started in earnest until he knows for sure which part does what! Basic design is, he can only hope, some kind of universal constant, but that doesn't mean it actually is.
//Just see if you can sort out what I need to start bouncing the signals to Omega Supreme,// he says with an authoritative air that still comes across as an ill fit for the tiny Autobot. //We'll worry about the rest after that.//
