Month 4, Week 1, Day 6, Open. Random P-Way in Ship.
Fleetwind walks down the passageway of Ship, having just gotten off of Rock Watch. This is a pretty normal activity. Fleetwind has antigravs, so sometimes he flies instead, but today he walks.
That is, until he encounters something that causes him to stop short. He frowns and looks down at that something : gaudily colored blocks with strange glyphs on them.
Had Fleetwind a background in human culture, he would recognize them as a child's building blocks.

Blast Off is following just a little behind Fleetwind. He hasn't said much. Fleetwind is just a mass-produced Seeker, a commoner.
He pauses when Fleetwind pauses and peers around the Seeker. There are cubes on the floor. They're not energon cubes. Blast Off doesn't know what they are, so he supposes that makes them Foreign Objects. Every flying machine hates Foreign Objects. Blast Off glares at the cubes. They ignore him.
Finally, he suggests hesitantly, "Maybe it is some sort of... kit that the engineers assemble?"
There are glyphs on the cubes. Maybe those are like 'Insert tab A into slot B'. This could just be some kind of Space Ikea gone wrong.

Fleetwind frowns. "Rather brightly colored for some sort of standardized engineering kit," the commoner observes, looking down at the building blocks. "It's a kit, it's not a Decepticon kit," does that make it any safer? "and who on-board would be using a non-Decepticon kit?"

Blast Off takes a moment to stare at Fleetwind, who is yellow, and then looks down at his own purple self. The blocks being brightly coloured is a problem? Ship is all purple on the inside!
He does not move any closer to the blocks, staying behind Fleetwind, but he agrees, "Very suspect. Should we report it? If we report it and it is supposed to be there, we look like fools and are judged intellectually unworthy. If it is dangerous and we ignore it, we are judged foolhardy. A quandary."
Just don't ask Blast Off to go over there and poke the blocks himself. That might be dangerous. He's not doing it.

Fleetwind narrows his optics and considers. "It seems unlikely that those are supposed to be there. I'm quite positive that they weren't there before," he observes.
Then his lips twist into a frown. "However, if we do report them, it is possible that we will be asked to... deal with the matter." This is particularly a danger for Fleetwind, since Seekers are disposable.

For a commoner, Fleetwind at least seems rather sensible, so far. Perhaps his factory was located in a good district.
Blast Off suggests hesitantly, after some thought, "Could we trick someone else into doing it for us?"
Hacking the cameras to show no blocks and therefore no problem would be too much work.

Fleetwind nods, tilts his head, rubs his chin, and considers. "An option. We need someone who's either dim, brave, or foolhardy," maybe all three, "and unlikely to report it. Duskwing?" Then he shakes his head. "No, that's just inviting disaster."
Then he brightens. "Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong qualities. Maybe we should just tell Swindle about it. If it's something useful, he'll want to sell it and we won't have to deal with it anymore, if it's something dangerous enough that even he doesn't want it, we know not to mess with it."

Speak of the devil, and he shall appear. Even a minor devil of obfuscating stupidity.
Dusking shambles down the hall, not in the least bit stealthy, and stops, staring at a pair of backs and wings blocking his way. The yellow one is definitely Fleetwind, who is Mostly Harmless as far as 'propensity for turning around and ripping Duskwing's head off in a fit of pique' goes. The other is one of those new guys--his name escapes Duskwing for the moment.
"Hey! Dis ain't a lounge, and youse is lousy doors. Wanna get a move on?"

"Swindle. Hnph. I am afraid he has gotten entirely the wrong ideas about me into his head; calling him would be quite - "
In his best aristocratic snob voice, Blast Off informs Duskwing witheringly, "We are on a P-way patrol. We are meant to be here."
Blast Off may not be brave or terrifying, but he can condescend to gutter scum like he was made for it.

Fleetwind frowns and twists to look behind him. "Duskwing, my wingspan is not that wide." Ship's passageways must be large enough to accomodate the likes of Lugnut or Bonecrusher, after all, and they're intended for two-way traffic with room to spare. Plus, Blast off doesn't have the 'widening kibble' at all. "You're free to continue on around."
Which would call for him passing rather closely to the blocks, but that action itself might provide valuable insight.
Fleetwind is, despite Blast Off's claims, not on P-way patrol - he had just gotten off Rock Watch, after all. However, he doesn't point this out. Blast Off himself might be on patrol, and Fleetwind is perfectly content to let the implied lie-by-lack-of-correction stand.

"Huh. Don't you gotta patrol when you got a patrol?" Duskwing retorts. "'Cause youse guys been standin' there the whole time I seen you."
Duskwing saunters up beside Fleetwind and stares at him. "Slaggit, you goin' and bein' all logical. Sometimes you just don't get it." He glances down. "Hey, Screwdriver's blocks! She let youse guys play wit' 'em too? Thought only Mistwind got to do that."

Blast Off does indeed keep his wings tidily tucked up along his legs, which he feels is much more dignified than bulky shoulder wings that knock everywhere.
He continues coldly, "I had spotted something unusual and - ah. They belong to Screwdriver? Then he can collect them."
Blast Off still sometimes messes up genders.

OOC: Apologies for letting this one fall below my radar.
Fleetwind rubs his chin thoughtfully. "She, I think. Though with Junkions, who can tell?" He lifts his head and glances back at Duskwing.
"She didn't 'let us play with them.' They were left out here." The yellow Seeker frowns down at the little blocks. "If they are Screwdriver's, I'm not touching them. She inhabits a whole different reality from the rest of us, and things get dangerous when that world intrudes on this one."

Duskwing selectively ignores Blast Off and stares blankly at Fleetwind.
"Huh? Screwy's on the ship, same as us. Whaddya talkin' about?" Duskwing flicks a glance at the blocks and nudges one with a foot. "Yeah, dat looks like the set she let Mistwind play with. Dey make words in English. And stuff. She makes really cool stuff that does stuff."

"She?" Blast Off inquires, brow furrowed.
He does, however, take Fleetwind's advice that he ought not touch the blocks. If Fleetwind is lying and touching the blocks gives out super-powers, Blast Off will just have to misplace all of Fleetwind's communiqués later.
Blast Off ignores Duskwing right back.
