So, I read somewhere we are all on a mysterious planet and have no idea how we got there.
Besides that plot, there are also mysterious enemies we are teaming up to fight against?
Am I right?
Whats the terrain on this planet?

Haha, thanks for not answering a single question of mine. I know it's there, but I was wondering if anyone who might be an expert could link me directly, give me advice, ect, since last time I was here everything was scattered.
But okay, i'll spend the next few hours shifting through it all. haha

Sounds like a good plan.

Hello Wingshadow.
While RP may be about happy-funtimes, it is also a commitment and one that involves a significant amount of reading! If you are not committed enough to read through the RP wiki (linked in the banner at the top of the board) or to read through the Announcements board for the relevant threads or to glance over the IC boards, then perhaps you should ask yourself if you are committed enough for roleplaying here?

Don't worry. I was asking myself that before I signed up. And while I was filling out the same amount of paper work to purchase a house, and while waiting for it to get cleared. But I'm a writer and an actor and don't have all the time in the world. And after training to be a 2nd Lt for 4 years, efficiency is a must. ;D
Is that plot where we are all still on that mysterious planet still going on? Cause I see a lot of 'closed' and 'used' and 'left's.
Small plots-Can one start here? Are they supposed to start here? Or is it all just for mini stories on the planet?
Where is the FAQ? Is there one?
Why are there chapters instead of locations to write on? Are there that many people on here? Can I join any old chapter? If not how do I go about joining one? Just contact the person via pm? And where would you recommend I start at? I want wingshadow to appear buried in a desert...

Originally, the various Transformers were being pulled from their realities to the planet Gillanan III. Various things happened. They found the Magic Rocks that seemed to draw folks from other realities to them. Each side built spaceships. They traveled. They spent some months on Pz-Zazz. Rodimus gave an entire planet the bird. They traveled some more. Now each side is arriving on Earth, the Autobots one IC month later than the Decepticons. Newly pulled Transformers arrive aboard the either the Autobot or Decepticon ship, generally on the same ship as their in-game faction. This is all information that could- and has been- easily picked up by new players who take the time to actually read the things like the Read Me First thread, the Wiki and/or the more recently started player-driven wiki, and to just look around the IC and OOC boards. The board isn't divided into chapters. It's divided into locations, and each thread is a scene or (more rarely) a compilation of related scenes that occured on a particular planet or during Space Travel time. Again, something that could be determined easily. You can't go back and start a thread or join in an old thread from a location that we have IC'ly "left" unless we IC'ly "return" to that location. If your character is approved, you will be able to RP out a full arrival (minus the security interview unless situation warrents because those are tedious), as we like to give new players the chance to get their feet wet, so to speak before chunking them in the deep end. There is FAQ. It is on the Wiki. Which has been linked and referenced in this thread multiple time. This would also answer some of your questions: tfdeadzone.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gameannouncements&action=display&thread=1772

There is a basic summary of IC events from the Autobot (specifically, Kup's) perspective available in the Autobot database. tfdeadzone.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=autobotdatabase&action=display&thread=825 That summary is typically a couple of RL months behind actual events. The 'action' hasn't been on the starting planet for quite some time. We pretend that all the unplayed and dropped characters are stationed there, and we assume that they still get new arrivals, but none of this happens 'on screen' or 'on panel' (depending on whether you're thinking about this as a television show or a comic book). At this point, the people who arrive 'on screen' arrive on the chunks of meteorite that each faction has on board their ship. As for location, while both factions are still wrapping up events in 'Space' (which, in this case, means the transit from Pz-Zazz to Earth), we're just now getting the ball rolling on events on Earth. While the boards are generally laid out in a location-oriented manner, as Shockwave has said, sometimes, when a particular plot is going to involve several related threads, we also create an event board for that in order to make it easier to find all those threads and to keep them from getting lost in the general shuffle, especially since they sometimes affect each other and 'interact'. This is why we have both 'locations' boards and 'chapters.' Generally, our locations are only broadly defined because we want to give as many people the chance to join a particular thread as reasonable. Apologies for the shortness of some of these answers, but many of these questions get asked and answered repeatedly (I know that I've linked that IC events summaries more than once in new people's 'What's going on here' type posts), and it becomes tedious to answer the same questions over and over for every new-comer who wants to use their own time more efficiently at the cost of everyone else's. The fact is, I've seen boards where asking a question that can be answered in a sticky in any forum will flat get you flamed because no matter how much a person loves the board they're on, answering the same questions over and over gets frustrating.

By the by, when was the "last time you were here" during which "everything was scattered"? Because the boards and wiki have been laid out in pretty much the same format for the four plus years that we've been running. While yes, we've added some stickies and adjusted the FAQ over the years, we've had plenty of new players come in. Most of which had no real trouble figuring where to start.
