Zippo could quite easily see things from the Senate’s point of view as well as the oppressed. The idea of betting on races to rake in easy credits was practically instinct to Zippo, plus he was sure he wouldn’t be corrupted by the power of riches, he only wanted luxury after all, not political power or ruling over others in any way.
“Yuck! I hate that cog in the machine scrap, every mechanoid to himself I say. This Orion Pax sounds like a real hero”, heroes usually died young in Zippo’s estimation but he kept any distaste from his voice, “What became of him?”

"Heh. Yeah. It's amazin' what a war and the killin' of all senates by a Decepticon lynch mob can do to 'no upgrades' rules, ehehe." Guzzle probably sounds a bit too giddy about that, but all things considered, that was the only good thing the Cons ever did. Yeah, they deserved a trial, but after all the hardships, he finds it hard to care about their fates.
"Hrn. Sounds like our ol' apartheid issues. Was a looong time ago, but you used to be judged pretty damn heavily on whether ya were cold constructed, or forged. Good goin' gettin' rid of them. Stuff like that is just idiotic. Factions, that's what one should judge on."
Okay, that question? That's too good to pass up. Guzzle turns to face Zippo, rolls a shoulder in a shrug, and tries to act nonchalant while he answers. "Eh, that chief o'police went on to become the leader and shinin' beacon of all Autobots and what we stand for; Optimus Prime."

Override shakes her head. "Naw. Not factions, either. I mean, sure, what faction someone decides to fight along side of says a lot about a person, but at the end of the day, we're all individuals," says the racer from the world that lacked factions until rather recently. "Besides, haven't most of your wars gone on long enough that some people are built Autobot and Decepticon? I mean, I know that doesn't mean they have to stay with the side they were built for, but if you're judging by faction than with those guys, you're just finding a new way to judge them on how they were built. Especially if they're young."
She gives a single bark of a laugh, "Ha!" at Guzzle's answer to Zippo's question. But then she asks, genuinely curious, "So why the name change?" She gets that sometimes these 'Prime' folks carry this thing called the Matrix. Her Optimus did, and Rodimus does. But she doesn't really get why that necessitates a name change. After all, winning the world cup didn't mean she had to change her name!

“Factions are the easiest way to judge sure, but that’s far from water tight”. Zippo gives his own shrug, he’s living proof that a faction at times is only as deep as the transformation activation code. Zippo Maximise, Zippo Terrorize….Zippo Burniate! It’s all the same.
And then Optimus Prime! Zippo was surprised that he didn’t know the origin story of the big OP but he was more than excited to learn of it. “Please! Tell us everything.” His internal computer was already humming, ready to record every last byte.
Overridimus Prime didn’t really roll of the vocals too well, Nitro Convoy on the other hand…

He abruptly pauses his gun cleaning when he hears that, glancing at Override with squinted optics. Guzzle respects her. But not enough to let that comment slip. So he puts the Judge down and turns to face Override, leaning forward, his optics an icy blue and his voice just as cold.
"Override, I like you, but you have no fraggin' idea what you are talkin' about. This ain't races where the opposing team at worst will run ya off the road or put some holes in ya. Those glitchers murdered billions. Destroyed hundreds of planets. Drove our race to the brink of extinction. The ones build as Decepticons are made to enslave, exploit and destroy. Even the ones with doubt, murder without blinkin'."
By now he has calmed down. Somewhat, at least. He picks up the Judge and leans back in his seat, gazing at his trusted sidearm, and instead of answering the question about Optimus, he mutters to himself. "They made their choice, every last one of 'em, so damn right I will judge anythin' with a purple badge." One thumb glides over the safety of the gun. At least it's not loaded, or hooked up to his systems.

Override narrows her own optics, uncrossing her legs and planting both feet on the floor.
"First, if that's the worst you think happens in the races, you don't know much about Velocitronian races. Second, you seem to be forgetting that sometimes the rules are different here. How can you say they all made their choice, when we've got someone on this ship right now who was forcefully reprogrammed into being a Decepticon? Or people who're so new to the whole thing that they don't even realize what they're chosing?" One of the Wheelies, after all, was briefly a Decepticon. "And third, seems to me that the first step, the key one, to doing any of those things you just described the Decepticons doing is to start... by telling yourself that the people you're dealing with don't count as people."
Override stands up. "I imagine this is probably the point where you talk about how 'naive' or 'simple' I'm being, like you've done for both of us this whole night," she glances towards Zippo, then shrugs. "But I'm thinking that this is something I'd rather stay naive about a bit longer."
"Guzzle. Zippo. Catch you both later," she inclines her head to each in turn, then starts to turn towards the door.

In a rare moment of genuine empathy, Zippo just about left the room to its original occupant to go join Override on her way out but changed his mind. He was going to have one last go at enlightening Guzzle.
“Not every single one with doubt murders without blinking.” Every word is clearly enunciated to emphasise his point, “I was reprogrammed into a stinking ‘Con and even then I aimed to miss. I murdered no one. There is more than one ‘Con out there who only needs a chance to find the better path”.
Aiming to miss was technically a lie but Guzzle didn’t need to know that.
After all the philosophy, Zippo felt a need to go bury his head in some more history. Egyptian pyramids sounded fun right now.
Zippo goes to walk away, wings once again facing each other upon his back.

"Oh I'm sorry, do your races leave dozens dead in the streets?" Guzzle's fondness for Override is rapidly dropping, and the next couple of words that come out of her mouth don't do him any favors. "Oh yeah? Well, I'll try and keep that in mind when they're trying to kill us! Who cares that we'd in mortal danger? They might be doing it against their will, nevermind that they practically cackle while dismembering somethin'!"
When Zippo turns to lecture him, Guzzle just shoots the Maximal a dangerous glare. "Get off your high hoverbike and go sell your slag to some schmuck who'd actually buy it."
He gets up out of his seat, leaving his weapon and ammunition for what it is, his body rattling with anger as he violently jabs a finger in her direction. "Damn right you're naive! And you know it, or you wouldn't run away instead of try and prove me wrong!"

"Depends on the race," Override snort, pausing on her way out the door, then mutters, "though I gotta admit it's been awhile since I ran ones that bad." Then she hakes her head. "I didn't say don't fight them, don't defend yourself, don't defend others. Even I'll admit that when they're trying to kill us is the time not to keep it in mind." She smirks. "But no one's trying to kill us right now."
"Prove you wrong?" The smirk fades. "About what? That each and every one of them made their choice? Already did that. That it's all right to judge people by the symbol they're wearing? That's a subjective. You can't prove subjectives, though that attitude might have gotten one of us killed back during that evil alternate none sense, no matter which symbol you're talking." This wasn't Shattered Glass - there was no convenient switch of colors.
She shakes her head. "Naive or not, I'm still bright enough to see that nothing I say here and now's gonna convince you of anything, and I'm not one for spinning my wheels when it doesn't get me anywhere. Sure, I run. I'm a racer, that's what I do. Not my fault you can't keep up."
"Transform!" And Override falls down into vehicle mode in an instant. In the next one, she's gone.
And she never did get that drink.

Well don’t look at Zippo for a drink, with his size and efficiency, his ration was too damn small to offer anyone anything even if he saved up for a year.
Zippo lowers his head, a solemn tone to his voice, “That’s the whole point isn’t it Guzzle, you’ve been at war for what, a thousand, a million years? More? You’d never listen to the like of me unless I bring you Megatron carrying a white flag and a basket of energon goodies” and then thought Zippo, Guzzle would still shoot first because he thought it was a trick. Zippo transformed into his beast mode and headed for the door. Before he headed down the corridor, the opposite direction from Override, he paused and looked back at Guzzle with an easy smile. “Look, we need people like you more than we need people like me because there will always be some stupid ‘Con who will go and threaten the innocent. But one day, the war will end and there will still be ‘Cons who would rather have peace than more fighting, killing and dieing. For now I rather like my innocence and the view up here”. He left Guzzle with one last friendly grin before flapping away.
He was going to have to find some way to get Guzzle on his side one day; a friendly ally was far more practical than an unfriendly ally. Perhaps a sim room duel or something, until then, he would try and save some portion of his rations.
And just because Zippo is a smug little expletive, half way down the corridor, he turned around and flew back and past the lounge doorway and yelled at full volume, “STOP OILING YOUR BARREL”

That is where Zippo is wrong. Guzzle wouldn't train a gun on him. He has that red symbol. If Autobots were a target, he would have made Kup 'disappear' during the Garrus-9 mission.
Guzzle glares after the Maximal, his hand visibly shaking, struggling for words, and then just gives up. He returns to his seat and slumps down in it, staring at his gun, before picking it up. It could use another cleaning. Just to be sure.
