"Fix…?" As if dazed, Flame peers at Brawl and Vortex for a moment. "Oh," he murmurs in surprise, optics wide with concern, "yes. Yes, of course! My apologies!" He saves progress on his report before skirting the foam tank as if it's contagious and hurrying over to the wash hose waiting by the counter. He can smell the acrid pong of sizzling circuitry.
They're burning.
Flame looks positively horrified as he turns the rinse on Brawl first – Brawl, leaking smoke, pleading help – with shaking hands.

Vortex is beginning to smoke too, curls of white wisps seeping from his neck and chest. He doesn’t seem to mind it half as much as Brawl does, although it seems to induce uncontrollable giggling in the heli.
“Oh, ohzzz-” He even laughs at the expression on Flame’s face when he rinses the foam off of Brawl. “Yo-krrzzt- hahaha-” Whatever it was he meant to say promptly dissolves into rather ugly sounding static coughing and he rolls onto his front, clutching at his throat once more.

Don't get too bent out of shape, Flame! Brawl has pre-existing problems in the turret region, which is why he's smoking there. Also, he would gladly punch you for no reason.
The tankformer (the one without flamethrowers) tries to focus on Flame's face as the other washes him off, but finds it difficult, as his optics are full of dead pixels. He tries shaking his head to clear it, but this accomplishes nothing except to make him dizzy.
"They use th-kzt-is stuff for puttin' out -zrt- fires?" he asks incredulously.

Flame's patients should count themselves lucky he hasn't lapsed into a full flashback. People burning from the inside is one of those things he sees in his darkest dreams, in his memories of Babu Yar. The stench is something he will never be able to erase from his mind. He knows only one way to save them when they're too far gone.
He could be trying to rip the Combaticons' sparks – or laser cores, or brain modules, or every vital system – from their bodies to save them a painful, inevitable death, rather than dousing them with a hose.
"I'm sorry," he croaks almost too quietly to be heard over the rush of water. "I-I'm sorry." He turns the spray on Vortex next.

The helicopter virtually sags the moment the water hits him, melting into a puddle of grey, soggy metal parts on the berth. “Hey,” he mutters to Brawl after a moment, “you -bzzt - wanted t’ know why the ‘Bots -khhh - don’t use it more.”
He relights his visor and peers quietly over his shoulder at Flame in slight annoyance when the doctor says his apology. This guy was so miserable he was beginning to be miserable to be around. And how many times did they still have to keep showing up here?
Vortex siiiighs dramatically and rolls onto his back, fanning his blades out languidly. “Mmm, that was -zzzt - tingly.” That help with the flashbacks, doc?

Flame should leave Brawl's vital components where they are. No-one wants to see B.O.T. again.
"Sorry?" Brawl echoes. He's been shot at with a lot of weird stuff over the years, but he doesn't recall anyone ever apologizing for it afterwards.
"I'd use it on them," he says to the other Combaticon, twitching as a few motor relays short.

"Yes, well," Flame murmurs, seizing on this thread of conversation to distract himself, "it's better that we protect ourselves against it before using it on them. They could very well turn it back on us." After all, it's only foam. A stiff breeze could prove problematic in delivery.
A stiff breeze could have changed Babu Yar. But he puts that out of mind before he can start shaking too badly, and shuts off the hose once he's satisfied the Combaticons are well rinsed.
"Now that we know the reaction," he says in a more convivial fashion, "I need to see the effects on your systems." They're short-circuiting, yes, but what relays have been damaged? To what extent? And he might as well repair it while he's working. Out comes the diagnostic machine and a small medical tool kit. Time for examinations!

“Mmf,” Vortex reboots his vocalizer again. “Doc’s got a point there, Brawl. I mean, if we were gonna have a fire retardant party with the Autobots, we gotta make sure we ain’t gonna be the ones shorting if they push us into a pool a’ the stuff.” The feedback buzzes were gone now, but his voice is still quite staticky.
“Oh, yay, let the the examinations commence,” the heli groans at Flame and sulks. Then he points to his teammate and helpfully adds, “Him first.”

Brawl tells Vortex to do something unprintable to himself. Said act is, in fact, anatomically impossible, even if all of Vortex's transformation joints were double-jointed.
"So you gotta -fzt- open me up or what?" Brawl asks, rolling his head on his shoulders to try and work out the foam-induced kinks.

Flame shrugs off Vortex's utter lack of enthusiasm without blinking. Let the vile, glue-slinging flyer wallow in his short circuits a while longer, then.
"I'll also be able to clean out any foam that reached your internals," he says as he pulls over a wheeled tray and sets his kit atop it. "Given the extent of the dysfunction caused by this contact, I don't want to risk leaving any behind." It could somehow get to their spark cores and kill them!
So unless Brawl has further protests and wants to continue fzting and crackling, Flame can get to work making him better.

Well, the vile, glue-slinging flyer isn’t wallowing so much as he is floating away on some hazy cloud of painful bliss. He’d rather stay here for a while longer and ponder the faaascinating color of the berth.
That, and annoying Brawl was always funny. Always.
“Such concern fer us there, doc,” Vortex mumbles in dry amusement, turning his head to watch Flame work on his teammate.

Brawl has further protests, but he doesn't voice them, just giving Flame the stink-eye and sulking, for once, quietly.
OOC: Flame has permission to pose Brawl as necessary.

"I'm here to look after the wellness of our soldiers," Flame says quietly and matter-of-factly without looking at Vortex, as if that should be the obvious answer. It's the only reason he's allowed to live. It is his reason for living.
So long as Brawl raises no complaint, Flame starts removing panels to examine circuitry and repair as needed. He starts first with the tank's back, near that troublesome turret. Privately, he is terrified that some of the stuff could be lodged somewhere he can't easily access, but he works with a calm, almost numb expression on his face. If Brawl has a complaint, Flame will cease promptly.
OOC: Gloss over the nitty-gritty, or play it out a bit more?

“‘Our’?” Vortex echoes, observing all of the little things that Flame is doing. As he has nothing else to do for the time being, he will continue to prod at the ex-Autobot. “Whoever’s in charge a’ your brain washing must be doin’ a heckuva job.”
OOC: Think we can gloss over it?

OOC: Skipping Brawl with player permission.
Despite the clear irritation in his tone, Flame still doesn't take his eyes off his work. Brawl's health matters more than Vortex's sniping.
"I'm not being brainwashed," he says distantly, most of his processing power going to the medical task at hand. "I was given a choice. I made my decision. If I'm worthy is not up to me." That is how it happened, he thinks. His memories of arriving are muddled, disjointed. Fatigue and stress with little quality rest to alleviate the effects don't do much to improve his scattered mind. He applies a small suction wand to the pockets of foam he finds as he works, cleaning thoroughly before making any actual repairs.
