Earth Month 6, Week 1, Day 4
OOC: Okay, the Autobot crew is: Ultra Magnus, Long Haul, Swoop, Jetfire, and Omega Supreme. The Decepticon crew is: Frenzy, Screwdriver, Knock Out, and Blast Off. Both teams left an unspecified time ago. They are deep enough in space that you need a real communications officer to get messages back and forth - conveniently, each side has one of those - both Omega Supreme and Blast Off are carrying communications gear. (Just look at their TFU profiles!) I am going to leave it unclear if either side knows the other side if there. If one side wants to have detected the other, let me know, I'll look at your relevant skills and abilities, and I'll see if that might be viable. They are not in orbit around Six Lasers Over Scorpio and are debating what to do. I am going to start this in two threads, but the threads might merge later depending on what people do.
Six Lasers Over Scorpio is a large silicon asteroid, with many trace impurities, such as gallium, gold, silver, platinum, and arsenic. It has gravity generators that crank up its surface gravity to something relatively Earthlike. From space, it glows with many coloured lights, bright as carnival, twinkling in the night.
The orbital defences, however (even a theme park needs to worry about space pirates) have been absolutely ravaged and torn to shreds. If a tornado could go through space, the results might look something like this.
A larger piece of jetsam is drifting into view now.

Long Haul is riding in Omega Supreme. Because the last time Long Haul was along for a side trip with Omega Supreme things went so well, obviously everyone wants him around this time as a good luck charm. He peers up at the viewscreen over the head of... anyone sitting in the (unnecessary) pilot's chair.
"Hnh. Looks pretty bad," Captain Obvious states.

No-one told Swoop Omega Supreme's insides were this small. He desperately needs room to stretch his wings and fly. He's in his pteranodon mode, perched awkwardly in the seat next to Long Haul.
He cranes his neck to see the viewscreen as well. "It look pretty to me, Swoop." Lots of shiny twinkly lights!

Jetfire eyes the floating debris of shattered defense with serious unease. He sure wishes Jetstorm was here right now. Well, at least he can combine with Long Haul, but that's not nearly as reassuring...
At least he doesn't seen any mutilated bodies tied to anything. "If we are seeing any crazed Lithonians, can we be making quickly in opposite direction?"

The jetsam that is drifting slowly towards them is vaguely cross-shaped. It looks like it was once part of the orbital defences here. It's quite big.
Omega Supreme wonders a bit at Swoop's childish admiration of the lights. The Dinobots in his own reality were somewhat... simple, too, but in that moment there, Swoop almost reminds Omega Supreme faintly of Holi.
Jetfire is nervous. Omega Supreme supposes that he can't blame Jetfire, given what he heard happened, but... "Negative."
If there are Autobots here who need help and they turn tail? It's on their hands.

"Not an option," says Ultra Magnus, concurring with Omega Supreme, as he watches the screen, yellow eyes glinting and hard. It's a familiar sort of devastation in its sheer scale; he recalls similar blasted, broken landscapes on Cybertron when the war was at its full fever-pitch. He reaches over to rest a steadying hand on Jetfire's shoulder in spite of the grim expression on his face; his gaze is focused on that free-floating piece of storm wrack coming their way. "But we have a better idea what to expect now. If they're here, we'll stop them." He presumes by killing them all. "We can't ignore that distress call just because a few psychopaths might get in the way."

Long Haul glances at Swoop, right side of his optic band opened a bit wider than the left. 'Pretty'? All righty, then! "If that's whatcher into. Me, I don't like seeing stuff built torn down before it's time. 'Course, from here, it's hard to tell how well put together it was."
He looks up at Magnus. "Psychopaths are sometimes a cause of distress calls, actually," he observes. He peers at the screen. "I'm not much for finding landing spots. Still, this one," he taps a spot on the screen, "looks... well, it's open, but it's not too far away from things. 'Less you folks think it's too open?" he glances, particularly, at Jetfire and Swoop for confirmation. They're the fliers, after all.

Swoop has led a very brief and sheltered life by Transformer standards. He can't tell by looking that Six Lasers Over Scorio is in ruins. Even if he could, it's not his home. So yes, the lights are pretty.
"We no run away from bad guys, we smash bad guys!" Swoop agrees, nodding at Jetfire.
He examines the screen Long Haul is pointing to briefly and shrugs, wings rustling. "It look okay to me, Swoop."

Jetfire straightens up under Ultra Magnus's reassuring hand, steeling himself. "Of course, you are all being right."
He is an Elite Guard warrior! He must not shy away from danger. Not even the sort of danger that occasionally still interrupts his recharge cycles with horror. Besides, there probably won't be any crazed Lithonians! And what could be worse than that?
"Is seeming fine to me as well," he says to Long Haul.

The cross-shaped flotsam is made up out of the twisted remains of several orbital defense cannons that had been shot apart and crudely slammed together into the shape it is in now. Like whoever did was completely bored without things shooting at it. The barrels of several turrets are sticking out, all in different colors, some copper, some gold, some gun metal, teal, silver...All still. But then, without warning, it starts firing on something off in the distance and promptly explodes into a cloud of twisted metal. A large, hulking figure blasts flies out of it, hell bend on destroying the intruders it had spotted. But it's not the Autobots. It appears that they're not alone, and whoever is out there now has a killing machine going after them, one that is now firing dozens of missiles at the other ship.

Omega Supreme pulls up a monitor of the unfolding fracas and a second monitor zoomed in on the other ship, so that those on board him will have a good view..
White and purple cowprint shuttle. They know who that is now, right? A shuttle, Combaticon, and orbital sniper.
They could just let the... whatever that thing is take out the Combaticon.
But is it better to have the devil that they know?
Omega Supreme considers the landing spot that the others indicated and asks, "Course: continue?"
Do nothing as evil does evil unto evil or try to be those proverbial good men?

Magnus believes in helping those who need it. Most of the time. But he draws the line at Decepticons, and he watches the events unfold on-screen with an increasingly stony expression. He rests both hands on the panel and frowns.
"I say leave him," he mutters.

"What?" Long Haul exclaims, startled. He looks up at the screen, then over at the others and shakes his head. "That ain't right. We don't even know what all's going on down there, or what all we're leaving them to, and, y'know, maybe it's somma the less bad 'Cons on that thing," the Constructibot protests. In the grand scheme of things, Long Haul is still fairly new to this whole 'war' thing, but leaving another group of Transformers to some unknown fate without even lifting a finger would leave a bad taste in his mouth if he had one. Now, should they prove to be some of the 'more bad' ones, he's willing let them die, but what if Mixmaster is on that shuttle?

"Let them Decepticons get smashed. Why we care?" Swoop chimes in, looking over at Long Haul. Even if it was just random strangers, Swoop might not care.

"That," Jetfire says coldly as he stares at the Decepticon shuttle, mouth drawn into a frown, "Is not a less bad Decepticon."
Normally Jetfire is more of a 'beat up, slap in stasis cuffs, and jail' sort of guy, but in this case? Never forget the Decepticons that desecrated Sentinel's original body and forced him to destroy it. Never forgive.
