Oh, I like Lynn's feathers!
I like the coloring style. Is that marker?

Yeah, it is grey marker with digital toning for the colour. Thank you!

lunatron.deviantart.com/art/Sable-Conolly-281367923This takes some explaining. In RiD, Scourge's protoform scanned a human, Kelly and a bunch of other random objects. It later came up as a plot point in the series that Scourge could spoof a human energy signature, as a result. So, if Scourge was made human by a plot device, he might look like Kelly, since he scanned her. I named her Sable Conolly. Sable, because it means 'black', and Conolly because it sounds like 'Convoy'. "Black Convoy", hah hah hah. I also wanted to draw her in a... not-anime fashion, because I am pretty sure that Kelly is supposed to be Japanese with teal hair and violet eyes, and being drawn in an anime-fashion sort of obscures that. I did want to draw her with a slight build, large eyes, and rounded and delicate features - slender fingers, small nose, small mouth, and small feet. Also, I did want to give her a bit of a pump in the boots, because Kelly is pretty short, and I figured being short would bother Scourge. The polarised red aviator sunglasses that she is holding are based on a pair that I own; she wear them to hide her eyes for the intimidation factor. Sable here is dressed in some surplus riot gear, it would appear. This is not her supervillainess outfit, though the star ruby cold iron bracelets she is wearing let her morph into her supervillainess form. This is just her 'I am doing a delivery in a rough neighbourhood' outfit.

I have to admit, your former "Sable" icon amused the hell out of me, but I always think it's interesting to see anime characters drawn in non-anime style. Anime has its pluses, but it is kind of bad about obscuring ethnicity.

The old icon was funny, but I wanted to make the ethnicity somewhat more obvious, and I also sort of want all my icons to match in style for no clearly defined reason.

I like the way her eyes, clothes, and skin go together!

This was kind of pointless, given that I could very easily snagged a played-by photograph or just use a picture of his Pretender shell, but I wanted all of my humanised icons to match because I am a goof, so here it is: lunatron.deviantart.com/art/Pincher-281798400

Post by Springer/Stella Ringer on Mar 17, 2012 9:28:46 GMT -5
Okay, so my friends and I were joking around about turning all of the Wreckers into human ladies, because it struck us as funny at the time. So this is Stella Ringer. I am not pleased with how her face came out. I wanted something like this version of Wonder Woman: images.wikia.com/marvel_dc/images/5/53/Wonder_Woman_Who_is_Wonder_Woman_HC.jpg with the broad chin, strong jawline, and defined cheekbones, but still undeniably female at the same time, with something like Cameron Diaz's broken-looking nose. I did not accomplish what I wanted with the face. I am also not happy with the musculature. I used a bunch of pictures of female body builders for references, but I just do not draw humans often enough to draw muscles properly. I am happy with the hair, which is based off this lovely photo: images2.layoutsparks.com/1/99288/mohawk-punk-style-girl.jpgI am happy with the gun, which is just based off of G1 Springer's toy gun from 1986. I don't think Springer would ever actually wear this outfit. I can only imagine that was happened was: Teammate: "Ringer, put on this outfit. Our next mission involves clubbing." Ringer: "Clubbing? But I like guns better. Can I take my gun?" Teammate: *Facepalms.* "Not that kind of clubbing. And no guns." Ringer: "No guns? Aw. I have this 9mm I can fit in -" Teammate: "NO." dA link: lunatron.deviantart.com/art/Stella-Ringer-290719561
