Addison's hand slides from Shahar's hair to stroke up and down her spine and gently massage the muscles there. He knows how tense she can be. He notes, however, that she is less so than he expected.
"Hmm."
As she snuggles against him, he shifts as well, twining his body more with hers. At length he asks, "Will you have trouble, when a way is found to return us to our proper seemings?"

Shahar's hum turns into an almost outright purr at the petting from Addison. She would arch up into his fingers, but she's too busy pretending her bones have run away.
Even his question as potentially uncomfortable as it is doesn't return any tension to her. She just considers a bit, then shakes her head and shrugs. "Yes and no? I like this life I've been given. I do not really want to go back. But I know it isn't feasible to stay human either. It isn't safe, for me or those I care for, so it really isn't a choice at all."
A moment of silence passes before she tips her head back to look at him. "And you?"

He hugs her tighter. He understands why she might not wish to return.
"Me?" he repeats, "I wish to be myself again. There are aspects of this life that appeal to me. I will not deny that. I am... less awkward in company, less likely to be dismissed as arrogant or snobbish. Placed in such a situation, I find myself much less disturbed by organic interactions and conditions than I perhaps should. Though that might be because of whatever was worked upon my mind."
"It is... a comfortable life." And similar in ways to the life he once had. It would be so easy in some ways to just let Mirage go back to sleep.

Tucking her head back down into his neck, Shahar nods.
"I understand. Though there is nothing saying you cannot carry what you have learned and become here back with you. To some extent anyway." Some of the habits of humanity would not be healthy to take with one back to being a Transformer. Others though, well Shahar thought she had certainly learned a few things she was loath to forget unless someone forced her to.
On the other hand, she was not fighting he lure of a life she missed like Addison seemed to be. Just the life she always wished she had been given. Oracle almost hated whoever had given her this, only to make her give it up, but Shahar would never have forgone the gift. After a soft sigh, she voiced her thoughts. "Part of me bitterly despises that this happened at all, but the other part wouldn't give it up for the world."

Addison turns his head so he can nuzzle at her cheek. "Shhshhh, now. You are who you are now for a reason, I as I am for another. As I understand it, the very heart of this world changed us in an attempt to protect itself. But overall, it does not seem so cruelly done. Perhaps you were given this more appealing life deliberately, for you are the type to seek out truths, and only an exceptionally appealing alternative would keep you from doing so."
"In that we are much alike."
He slips his hand under the fabric at the small of her back, rubbing small circles against her skin. "As for myself- Oracle, I am as I am. This life, this person, is a better person in many ways. Now that I am aware, I look at him, at how he behaves, and feel both envy and anger, for I find his attitude so very improper at times, even as I wish for the ease of it. I imagine this makes little sense at all."
