"Of course, sir. Medical talents are not in this design line, sir," Lyzack assures, walking off to the call button to try to summon a medic. Of course, if they are all busy with mad science, Slugslinger may have to wait.
Now, Leozack is a decent hand at logistics, but Lyzack has never tried that, so she wouldn't claim any talent there.
The button is pushed. She can do that.

Slugslinger can't stand all the paperwork and responsibility and fluff that come with being in command of anything. It's just too much work. But he will never, ever get tired of people having to call him sir. He stares critically at Lyzack, not quite glaring, after she hits the call button and while they wait.
And wait.
And though his chronometer tells him it really hasn't been that long, Slugslinger is sincerely a terrible invalid, cranky and ill-given to patience. He hates being even slightly out of top form, mostly because not being in top form makes him far more vulnerable to all the Decepticons he regularly annoys and torments than is healthy for him. He hates that unsettled feeling he gets at these times and scowls at the door, fingers tapping a rapid staccato on the berth.
"What's taking so long?" he grumbles. Then he looks at Lyzack and considers a sudden idea. "Hey," he goes on, "you stay and keep me company until they get here. I'll get you outta whatever detail you were on if anybody has a glitch over it."

"As you like, sir. I am yours to command," Lyzack replies quietly.
She steps softly over to his side and stands at a reasonable facsimile of concerned attention. She asks timidly, "Would you like a story, sir?"
Lyzack might give an injured member of the Junior Dinoforce a story.

"A story?" Slugslinger stares, gape-mouthed, at Lyzack for several seconds. "That's – but – what sort of Decepticon are you?" he demands, gesturing with one upturned hand. He can't fathom any fellow in the ranks being as ridiculously quiet and doting and meek as this without hiding something. And if she somehow is exactly how she presents herself, he decides, he needs to fix it. Who better than Slugslinger to make a proper Decepticon of her?
Well, once he doesn't look like a heavily-armoured brute punched half his face in.

"A Destron," Lyzack says obliquely, not quite correcting Slugslinger. Deciding that standing over Slugslinger is inappropriate, she drops into a kneel on one knee and folds her hands over her knee.
She offers, "There is a good one about Gladiaron."

Slugslinger dismisses the correction, tactfully-delivered though it was, with a rude noise and a wave of his hand, as if to say, Same difference. Lyzack wears the same brand, after all.
He almost decides to just let her keep genuflecting to him. It's a nice ego boost. But maybe, he thinks, he should go with a more amiable approach. She puts on the meek and mousy act with displays of authority, and that doesn't tell him what else she has in her or what's going on in her head. It doesn't give him any buttons to push.
"Go… get a chair or something," he says gruffly, making his tone hedge toward suggestion rather than command and making himself look mildly uncomfortable with her posture. "S' probably easier to sit there in a chair. And who the heck is Gladiaron? Never heard of him."

"Of course, sir. Less energy is used sitting. That is very cunning of you, sir," Lyzack replies. Then she fetches herself a folding chair, sets it up, sits down stock straight, folds her ankles, and folds her hands in her lap. Because he asked, she explains, "He was a famous commander during the Second War. His tireless work allowed unification under Destron control when his predecessor took command after he died - or so the stories say."

Slugslinger sort of squints at Lyzack while she fetches her chair; he can't quite get either optic narrow enough to pull it off, but that also means he hasn't successfully achieved that suspicious look by the time she turns around. He wonders if she deliberately just tried to patronise him or if she was being sincere with that compliment.
"You didn't say it was gonna be some Decepticon history lesson," he grumbles, crossing his arms and puffing himself up as sullen as he can. He makes sure not to indicate outright he wants her to stop. Really, whether it's fiction or fact, it could be a decent bit of insight to her reality, or at least her outlook. Maybe. He won't really know unless she keeps talking.

Lyzack does not quite look at Slugslinger as she sits, averting her gaze. She says mildly, "It is a story, sir. I could do ayatori if you prefer."
Look. She is a babysitter. She tells stories and plays stupid children's games.
Oh, oh, Lyzack could play beigoma... if she could find a top.

A long beat passes while Slugslinger says nothing, staring blankly at Lyzack. Then:
"…Wait, what?" His confusion is genuine this time, since he apparently doesn't have the language pack necessary to contextualise ayatori. "What's that?" he asks, unable to stifle his curiosity. He sits up straighter and his vanes angle forward with interest. "That thing you just mentioned."

Lyzack pulls out a long, thin, flexible wire and twists the ends together to make a loop. She holds the loop in her hands and twists it between her fingers, introducing more sub-loops that stretch back and forth between her fingers. In a moment, she has a structure stretched between her hands that vaguely resembles an archway.
"Ayatori, sir. The object is to make shapes with the wire, using your fingers," Lyzack explains. "This is the Triumph Arch."

To himself, Slugslinger keeps his fascination with the geometrical contortions on display, webbed between Lyzack's clever, slender fingers. He can't quite smile, but he manages to wrangle a look of somewhat dim awe onto his face, the way he thinks is appropriate. It looks like a great way to kill time.
"…That's pretty neat," he says with not entirely feigned admiration. The light glinting off the wire makes his vision swim when the loops and crosses cluster together, but he reaches out as if to take her hands. "Show me how to do that." Not that he doesn't already have a decent idea by watching closely, but observation and practise are quite different things.

Lyzack lets Slugslinger take her hands. He may notice that her fingers don't feel fragile, and if he pushes against her, her fingers don't give much. Lyzack is built to mostly the same specifications that Leozack is; she's durable and strong.
She just doesn't know when she ought to be using that strength to punch a schmuck.
There is something of an art to transferring a loop design from one set of hands to another, and Lyzack does her best, giving appropriate, mild explanations of how it all works as she does.

"You do this kinda thing often?" Slugslinger wonders as he peers at her over the glimmering web between his fingers. He doesn't miss how easy it would be for Lyzack to do him some real damage with those deceptively slender little hands if she so planned; he's also hedging that she really is the way presents herself. And that, more than most things lately, amazes him.
He also thinks he needs to do something about it. Just the thought of her giving somebody that sweet little smile before figuratively – or literally – stabbing them in the back makes his vanes shiver. The idea that he could be the one responsible for getting her there shakes his arms. It can always be blamed on a short from the fist-shaped crater in his face. He lets the wire slip off his finger rather than try to save it; he wants to see what Lyzack does.

"Yes, sir. There was little to do on the Giant Fortress Base," Lyzack admits. When the wire slips off his finger, she simply and patiently tries to correct it. He said he wants to learn this, so she will show him. "So I told stories and played games to amuse the Junior Dinoforce."
If Slugslinger knew more, he might feel offended by the comparison.
