Victoria's hand drops from Pierce's chin at the librarian's quiet assurance. Without losing her smirk, Victoria's head swivels toward the crow in human guise.
"I would recommend, Rook, that you never question my methods again," she murmurs entirely too pleasantly. Her comment prompted a concrete answer to her actual question.
"I look forward to your call, Mr. Fobster," she says cheerily and turns on her heel, intending to walk out the door in short order.
Timeskip to the roof next round?

Lyzack wonders what she should do. She cannot let an insult stand. An insult on her is by extension an insult on Leozack, and he would never let an insult stand. Still, Rook is an officer. Officers can do as they like.
She should correct him without letting him know that she has corrected him. So, Lyzack needs to act like... not a human. However, she does not think she acts like a human!
The Destrons in the stories worth telling are always, always warriors, sometimes cunning, sometimes loyal, sometimes brutal, but always warriors. She is not worth enough to be a warrior, or she would be one now.
What can Lyzack do to prove her inhumanity?

Lyzack is reading entirely too much into Rook's choice of donated reading material.
He inclines his head respectfully to Victoria. "My apologies, Ms. Raines," he intones, turning to follow her out and nodding at Phobia.
OOC: I am good with a skip.

Phobia stares after them and idly wonders what just happened. He glances at the note, then back up and then cautiously slides behind the bookshelf. Miranda was probably going to come pester him about what had just happened and he was going to have to act somewhat enthusiastic about being thanked for partaking in Ms. Raines’ research.
Fifteen minutes. Right.
OOC: Time skip is fine!

A few minutes before that quarter of an hour is up, Victoria is waiting on the roof. She seems to be in a remarkably good mood.
OOC: I think it's fair to say that Lyzack could join them on the roof if she would like.

Lyzack would only come up to the roof if explicitly invited. She fears showing initiative for fear of doing the wrong thing and being punished.

Rook is waiting on the roof with Victoria, hands clasped behind his back, expression unreadable behind his sunglasses.

Phobia manages to escape the curious clutches of his human co-workers just in time. He steps onto the roof, squinting slightly against the sunlight as he walks up to Rook and Victoria.
“My lord,” he says softly, coming to a stop before Victoria with a polite bow. “My apologies for earlier. Your return was... unexpected.”

"I am certain it was to many," Victoria answers Pierce.
"You are aware of yourself. That is more than many can say. You have not checked in with those who remain, but I understand that not everyone has the abilities or resources to do so."
"So do not worry on that score."
"How have you been faring in this form?"

OOC: Skipping Lyzack with permission.
Rook is content to let Madame Shockwave handle most of the questioning. He doesn't want to overwhelm Phobia. He does feel compelled to ask, "Have you retained your abilities?" If the cycleformer is still an empath, it will make his job much easier.

"I have been doing well," Phobia answers neutrally. No one needed to know the emotional roller-coaster ride that'd been his life for the past few weeks. A rather concerned expression crosses his face though. "Those who remain? How many of us have been changed?"
"Somewhat sir," he answers Rook. "Although the change has stunted my ranged abilities quite severely, I am still able to read people through touch. I have been able to find Rampage with it, although his memories are not intact. I also believe a villain by the name of Mordred might be one of us, although I was not able get close enough to identify who she may be."

"Less than a handful escaped the change. All indications are that the change was applied equally without regard to faction," Victoria says. She does not go into an extended exposition sequence. She is a comics character, and is prone to them, but now she seems more under the influence of the audio/visual realities.
"Rampage? Hrm. He is not exactly the best one to have running around unmonitored. Is this a passing notice, or are you in regular contact?"
Mordred is not commented upon. Victoria has her own ideas along those lines. She imagines it will not be too long before she meets that dark knight- and before he tries to take her head.

"You've found Rampage? Excellent. Already hard at work, I see," Rook says, nodding. "Any suspicions about who this Mordred might be?"
Rook has his own ideas on that, of course. He's been watching the human media carefully for metahuman activity, and Mordred's sense of style is familiar. He'd dearly like to bring Scourge back into the fold. He misses having the shoulder to perch on. And their color schemes go together so well! (Black goes with everything.)

“... Goodness,” he murmurs at the news. Only a handful of them escaped? The thought of their troops in such abysmal numbers was frightening. “Any idea what triggered the change, if I may ask, my lord?”
“Relatively regular,” Pierce says in answer to her question. “He is more tolerable in his current state, fortunately.” Which is to say he’s an insufferable handful, but that, yet again, was something he could afford to omit.
“Well, there is no one amongst us with similar powers that Mordred had exhibited, but as the change has altered my powers, I suspect it may have also given new powers entirely.” He gets the impression that, somehow, Shockwave already knows a lot of this, but he continues anyways in answer. “The, ah, ‘style’ of her works is only really similar to one particular Decepticon, and that is Scourge. I am, of course, working entirely off of impressions here.”

"If Mordred is not Scourge, I will be most surprised," she says. Already, Victoria has been working on measures to try and counter the knight during that inevitable confrontation.
"Is Rampage aware of himself?" Victoria asks.
If he is not, it should be simple enough to determine who Rampage is in human form. Phobia is in contact with the Predacon, which means one need only closely observe Phobia for a period of time. Victoria doubts she would have trouble identifying Rampage, once the field was narrowed down.
